Life just got a whole lot easier in the kitchen! I only wish that I had come across this piece of equipment sooner. I have to cook for myself now and I’m getting on a bit as well so anything that is labour saving is most welcome. I have to say also that the price that I paid for it seemed surprisingly low, more like a bargain basement price than anything. And for such a versatile and well made piece of kit! Happy Days.

This product is amazing, I use it every day. No more struggling to chop unions! Perfect for chopping up veg and salad into small pieces for cooking or making salsa. The only thing I would say is be careful when cleaning the blades because I’ve cut myself about 4 times so fa

I bought this on impulse after seeing one being used. It certainly does what it says it does and is amazingly sharp and efficient in chopping and slicing. However, I only use it when i am cooking for a few people as it is easier to just chop with a knife if cooking for one. Also i have nearly taken the top off my fingers a few times and the blades really are sharp so if you are a bit clumsy like me i would steer clear. The grabber to use to protect fingers doesn’t work well and you just end up abandoning it. Washing is a bit of a dare too. It does do what it says and is a great bit of kit but im safer using a sharp knife

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery sharp! Don’t slice off the top of your finger like I did! My fault, tried to use without the hand guard tool, lost a lot of blood & flesh.
Used correctly it’s great, just use the correct tools for the job in hand.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI switched from using a chopping knife to cut my veg to using this and it’s great. It allows me to make my salad in a minute max so very time saving and it comes with different extensions of cutting grids which allows you to cut, slice, dice and so much more. Although I would say handle with care when it comes to using these extensions because I’ve cut myself a few times.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is an excellent kitchen tool that is versatile, easy to use, and provides fantastic results.

One of the standout features of this mandolin slicer is its design. It has 15 different cutting options, which makes it perfect for slicing, dicing, and julienning a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. This versatility means that you can use it for all your food prep needs, whether you are making a salad, stir-fry, or vegetable side dish.

The adjustable vegetable cutter is also a great feature. You can easily adjust the thickness of the slices to suit your needs, and the mandoline slicer makes it easy to achieve uniform cuts every time. The julienne grater is also a great addition, as it allows you to create perfectly shaped vegetable strips for salads or garnishes.

The FUKTSYSM Mandolin Slicer is also very easy to use. The hand guard ensures that your fingers are protected while using the slicer, and the clean brush makes it easy to clean after use. It is also made from high-quality materials that are durable and long-lasting, so you can be confident that it will last for many years.

Overall, I highly recommend the FUKTSYSM Mandolin Slicer to anyone who wants a versatile, easy-to-use, and reliable kitchen tool that can make food prep a breeze. It is an excellent investment that will save you time and effort in the kitchen and help you create delicious meals with ease.

Generally quite happy with this product.
Blades are easy to change out.
I use this most often to cut potatoes into chips which it does well, just need to put a bit more pressure on it, to cut through them.
My only criticism is that the plastic base is now out of shape and a bendy rectangle shape after being washed in the dishwasher. This causes a problem as the plastic top does not secure property onto it. So I would suggest to others not to wash this part in the dishwasher.
The rest of the bits wash well in there.

The slicing blades snap in very firmly, so firmly that they take some effort to remove (I diced my thumb when the large dicing blade made an unexpected bid for freedom, fortunately the copiously flowing blood washed most of the searing hot chili pepper juice out of the wound and I have mostly stopped whimpering).

The plastic seems a little flimsy, I’m particularly worried about the longevity of the hinges. Overall, though, it works well and has a good variety of VERY SHARP blades. It also comes with a weird metal thing. I have no idea what it does and it’s not mentioned in the instructions.

An ideal gift for someone who you would like to see covered in small bandages for the next year.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOverall, it does make dicing faster, but I found it quite loud. The grey plastic levering part smacks down when it overcomes the resistance from cutting. Eventually found that with some veg I can cut with less noise if I press gently to cut part of the way and then press a second time to cut through, but you can’t do that with soft veg like tomatoes.

I then noticed when dicing pre-sliced sweet potato, that the grey lever part is also twists quite a bit, and part of the noise is when the end just knocks the corners of the grey base when it comes down. This twist coupled with the large impact it takes to dive, it also caused the green “finger” plate to come in at an angle and slice some of the green plastic along with the veg. Had to fish it out of the diced veg.

Has anyone tried cutting sweet potato and found a better way to prevent the noise and plastic chips?

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, but dicing is noisy.

I bought this to save me spending hours chopping onions, Julienne carrots and grating cabbage. Out of the pack it looked really interesting but problem No.1 was that there were no instructions so it was backward and forwards to the product on the site to see what did what and how. The safety pod is a bit awkward and small for my 9″ span hands and the spikes come down so far that they scrape on the cutter when you get to about halfway through an onion. So, pop it out, turn it around and try and give the shortest spiking possible without losing the onion. The safety cup needs to be deeper and a little sturdier. This causes quite a bit of waste especially when grating cabbage. A couple of the spikes have already bent after a single-use. HOWEVER, the results were really good. Made a fabby coleslaw with cabbage, onion and carrots. So mixed feelings. But overall good value for the money if you’re prepared to persevere… and don’t mind quite a bit of detritus on your worksurface.
