I use this light for cross stitch and it is the best light I’ve ever used. The light has three levels and if you only need one you can do that as they work independently.Recharging is fairly quick and I am very pleased with the overall performance.

Been using this for almost 4 months now. I’ve charged it once and it’s still going! I’m
Very surprised how good this is. There’s two lights on each end with independent switches. I only one as it’ll be too bright but it’s there if in need both.

I thought it only had white light but I literally just picked up and accidentally pressed a button on the middle/back of the gooseneck and it changes the colour. I can now read with an amber light which is amazing. Would have been 4 stars if it only had white light!

Very happy with my reading light. It’s comfortable and adaptable. Glocusent sent me a message with some useful tips after I had purchased the item; this I found thoughtful and helpful. Good customer service.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot thos because I have another 1 the other half bought for valentines day last year and I decided to get a spare as I do pet sitting and some stuff it’s just easier to have 2. I like the style, the brightness and, like my other 1, I generally find it more comfortable when I have something with a collar on so the light is more comfortable but it’s light and a jumper stops it wiggling round. It’s not terrible to use with a t-shirt or anything, it’s just my personal preference. The back of this has a sort of velvety pad, I assume to stop it moving as much and for comfort which my other light doesn’t have so it might be a bit more comfortable to wear round your neck without something under it but I haven’t tried it yet.

Overall I’m happy with it. It’s the same as my other light, apart from the pad in the back, so I know the settings I like already and it does a good job of lighting up my crochet, especially darker colours at this time of year.
Worth getting if you don’t want to spend a fortune on a neck light or you want to try one to see if it’s something you’ll make use of before you get a more expensive one.

Very useful for reading in bed – the light can be directed onto the page without lighting up the whole room, the device is comfortable to wear around the neck, and the gooseneck sides allow the device to target light exactly where it is needed. I really like this.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersVery well made. Although it can give a very bright light, it can also be dimmed and the shade of light changed to suit the atmosphere. Simple to charge. Great for reading and computer work. I have not found anything I dislike about this neck reading light, which is almost weightless around the neck. Not much more expensive than other brands and well worth it.

I wish I’d come across these lights ages ago. I struggle to see properly to read or sew in the evenings and this light means I can now do so without straining my eyes. The light quality is good and mostly the first strength is enough for me to see properly. I like the fact that it’s easy to move around with it on, I don’t have to sit in the same place. Small downside is that there is a reflection on the tv, but otherwise this is just just what I needed.

Very efficient and bright! Great book reading torch. I love the three brightness settings and three tones, warm white, daylight and very white. I also like the way you can brighten or dim each side and turn one side off and leave the other side on. Well worth the money.

Only problem for me is that I find it a little uncomfortable around the back of the neck.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI use this for cross stitching and crochet – and I love it. It’s made such a quality of life difference to my crafting. I love that you can adjust the brightness and colour of the light, and I love how light and adjustable it is. If I lost this light, I’d buy another one straight away.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA bit bulky, but does the job. I would like for the light to be a bit more focused, since it spreads a lot even on the lowest setting and kind of defeats the purpose of being discrete if there is someone sleeping beside you. I personally use it when knitting/ crocheting .

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am very pleased with this item. I use it mainly at bedtime when I want to read without disturbing my husband. The different settings for brightness are very helpful especially if one wants to use for knitting or needlework.

Having gotten into reading again a few months ago, the saddest part was not being able to read in bed due to the darkness.

Thanks to these however, I can read in the dark all I want without disturbing my partner. The multiple light modes and brightness options mean I can have suitable lighting no matter what. The flexible neck also allows for perfect angling no matter how you’re sat/laid.

The battery life is also excellent, having to charge few and far between.

Fantastic. So glad I got – i use for sewing especially dark coloured cloth. And mending or adjusting things eg watch strap
Would have got years ago if i had known about them!

I bought this for my husband, who likes to read real books as opposed to digital ones. We often read just before going to sleep. He’s thrilled to bits with it and it doesn’t disturb me at all. It gives a good, yet concentrated, bright light. Very pleased with my purchase and can recommend.

The neck light is good for task jobs, like knitting which is why I purchased it. I am still trying to get the angle right and stop it turning on my neck. It arrived when expected and was well packed. I would purchase from seller again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy original review was 3 starts with a comment “uncomfortably heavy” which is true, they were. They were purchased months ago though so we just threw them out and bought a different set. I have to fair though because my review prompted the supplier to get in touch, nearly 6 months after my purchase, and offer me full refund or replacement with a new, lighter weight product. I opted for a refund and to be fair, I have to improve the review I gave.

Golden Review Award: 175 From Our UsersI love reading, but I’ve reached an age where I need to wear spectacles – in addition to requiring a good lighting source for optimum enjoyment, especially in the evenings. We have a decent goose-neck LED floor lamp in our lounge, but it’s not very practical to move around – should I want to read in the conservatory, another room, or in bed. Over the years I’ve wasted my money on various ‘book lights’ but found them all to be sadly lacking in so many ways – fiddly to use, not providing sufficient light to cover two pages at once etc, etc. Eventually, I found out about these ’round the neck’ dual reading lights, and was impressed by the practical design of them. They are obviously becoming popular because there are now many companies selling them – so the choice can be overwhelming. I’m rather pedantic and fussy, and I like to get my money’s worth when it comes to parting with my hard-earned cash. This is why I spent LOTS of my precious time weighing up the pros and cons of the myriad of reading lights available on Amazon, before deciding that these ones from the Glocusent brand offered me the best deal. So, was my choice a good one? You bet it was!

This is a cracking lighting device, and does exactly what I’d hoped for – gee, I’m an happy bunny! Straight out of its no-nonsense recyclable cardboard box, I could see that this was an excellent quality product. It’s well made, and has a reassuring ‘weight’ to it, so when you place it around your neck, it stays there. It’s been ergonomically designed -so is very comfortable to wear, to be honest I didn’t even notice it was there once I’d got engrossed in my latest thriller. Before my first use, I charged it using the included USB-C cable, this took about 45 minutes – from an uncharged state (red light) to a fully charged status (green light).

The actual lighting options are excellent. On the rear is a mode button, which you depress to select an appropriate colour temperature: 1st press = yellow, 2nd press = warm white, 3rd press = cool white, 4th press = Off. On the end of each arm is a brightness button: 1st press = general reading, 2nd press = brighter reading, 3rd press = precision work, 4th press = Off. A particularly useful feature is that those arm lights can be operated independently. How long a fully charged unit will last before a re-charge is necessary will of course depend on your use age, and the chosen mode and brightness. I like to select the warm white mode, and set the arms to ‘brighter reading’ – this gives me around 20 hours of power, which I’m more than happy with. The arms by the way are completely flexible, yet stay firmly in the position you adjust them to, so you can accurately direct those beams wherever you wish.

This has definitely been one of my best investments, and it really does enhance my reading pleasure in the evenings. You may wish to purchase one of these lights for other pastimes like knitting, sewing, cross-stitching, crochet, artwork, electrical/plumbing/car repairs, anything really where you need a bright light – and remember, wearing one of these leaves both hands free! Whether you are buying one for yourself, or as a gift to someone, I think this is a great choice. It’s a super product to have at your disposal, and one I can wholeheartedly recommend to other discerning Amazon customers. Many thanks for checking out my review, I do hope you found it of use.
