Great corkscrew
My husband ordered this and I was a bit sceptical as to whether I really needed it or not. But, I’m totally converted – I was surprised at just how effortlessly it removed the cork from a bottle, it’s a very clever gadget.
It removes corks from wine bottles
What would you think I would use it for, a cork screw of course. The foil cutter is not much good in fact I-never managed to cut a foil on any bottle other than that it does the job fine but it is not for ladies or anyone that is weak wristed
Good but they need better instructions!
Edit on my previous review. If you follow the instructions you won’t be able to open a bottle. If you just continue to screw clockwise it works a treat. Had to go to YouTube to see if I was going crazy or not. Great product otherwise
Simple to operate
Bought to replace my rabbit ears style corkscrew which finally gave up after a long life of opening numerous wine bottles, this type of corkscrew is so easy and comfortable to operate, basically just keep winding, simples.
Simple to use
I bought this style of bottle opener based on the reviews. I waited a while to review as my wife was not sure about it. She has got used to it and now loves it now.
If you want a straightforward way to open bottles this fulfils this task. The circular shape fits centrally over the top of the bottle so that the screw drives into the middle of the cork. You then just keep twisting the handle until the cork is fully withdrawn from the bottle. Just one comment about the ease of doing this. When the opener starts to pull the cork out you need to add extra pressure so those with a weak wrist might need to think about another option, perhaps an electric version. I’m pleased with this and it looks like it will last. The set comes with a foil remover which is very useful and easily and neatly does it’s job. The pourer seems a bit pointless to me, but the stopper is useful if you need to recork a partial bottle.
Best opener eve
Bought this as I had a few cock bottles from the wine club. I was not 100% sure but oh! My it’s so easy to use. I have bad arm pains and this was a breeze. Well worth a buy.
Amazing little gadge
Opener works great, however the biggest benefit to me is actually the little air pump stopper. I like a only a little glass or two of wine once a week or so, and this stopper actually keeps my wine fresh for a good couple of weeks or so (you need to pump out oxygen from the bottle for it to work of course)
Why have I not bought this soone
Great little corkscrew, bought to replace the standard metal one that we had which broke.
Never thought having a foil cutter would make such as difference. Easy to use and very sturdy. No need for pulling just keep screwing and the cork is removed.
