Fun and Easy to use
These bulbs are great to use. The colour options are great and lots of different options. The use of the application makes it easy to not just configure but also share with other members of the family. My father who is older was able to use the application with ease.

Have purchase Govee products in the past and I am always blown away with their ease of use and simple effective app for controlling from your phone. Will continue to buy Govee going forward.
Nice and brigh
A lovely lamp. Great for colour and mood setting but the big plus is when used for a working light. In either warm or cool white, it is really bright much better that previous smart bulbs I have owned.
Way better than before
I’ve had about 6 of these bulbs in the past and they’ve only gotten better. The first model I had, one of the bulbs failed within a short amount of time (post-30-day-Amazon-return-period) and even though it’d been a very long time since the purchase, I contacted Govee and they refunded my bulbs and I went with this newer model. I have a decent sized Govee setup and these have been a great new addition.

Great fu
This bulb is great fun, it has plenty different ways that you can use it. I particularly like the one that flashes the bulb, when you speak. I still have a lot to find out about this bulb, but so far, I love it, would definitely recommend

These bulbs are fantastic
I love that the bulb because it can be controlled with app on your phone. Also, it is very bright and it can be dimmed down if you prefer. Overall it is a great quality product. My daughter is very happy with the bulb.
Very easy to set up and use
I absolutely love this so far so good. Super easy to set up through my Google home app or Govee app also. Lots of different themes, colours ect. Can also change to my music playing also. Also bulbs don’t go hot which is brilliant. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Great seller too no issues.
Much brighter than expected...
Pros:
Simple and easy to use, following the instructions and you’ll be hard-pressed to go wrong. The light itself is much much brighter than expected, for comparison I also have 5m Govee led strips in another room and this one smart bulb is probably comparable to those all on its own.

Does what it's supposed to
These just work! once conected to the lamp my echo picked it up immediately. easy to control with the downloadable app and works great with alexa, whether it’s turning the light ujp, down or changing colours etc..
These are honestly amazing. The app not so much
These are way better than my old smart lights. The red light is actually red and some blue, purple hybrid like my old bulbs. They’re so much more responsive, worked seamlessly with google home and with touch portal (macro software I use at my desk).
My only complaint is the app. It’s sooo slow and one of the sliders for changing the colour of the light is right where I swipe up to exit the app and when I swipe to exit, I exit the app but also change my bulbs to be blue. So I have to go back in the app and reset the colour and then leave the app carefully without changing the colour. So anyways, now I just use my google home and forget the app exists
Good bulbs nice app to control them
Currently my go to brand for bulbs, the integration with triggers is weak and while they have support in theory for a Govee motion sensor you can not, it seems buy one! It is possible although as all things smart home are, possible using a convoluted combination of hubs and other eco system apps such as ittt.
Brilliant produc
Used for a lamp in the Livingroom. It’s great being to connect to Alexa and is now “voice” controlled. Great when the on off switch Ida little hard to access. The Govee app is simple t set up and connect the lamps. I have found NO issues at all in its setting up and use. Many a great feature through the apps presents and youroen options.
Cannot fault them
I used these to replace a couple of Philips hue bulbs that had got to the point of not going off completely anymore, a common problem I understand. I thought I would give these a go as the Philips bulbs were a few years old anyway. I paid less than have the price of a single Philips white bulb for both these coloured Govee bulbs. I found the app very easy to use and they linked to my Alexa automatically once I had paired the Govee skill to my Amazon account. The first thing I noticed was that they are brighter than the Philips bulbs but that may be down to the age of those. I like that I can change between warm or cold white and everything in between. I will rarely if ever use the colour changing feature but it is nice to have and works from voice control. The best thing however is how fast they respond to commands, they are linked via wi-fi rather than the home hub and respond instantly to commands unlike the Philips bulbs which always had a noticeable delay. I will definitely be buying more of the Govee brand.

Their as good as any led bulb I have purchased, bright with a good choice of colours. Setting them up is pretty much the same as any of the other brands I own. Download the app link, then link to Alexa for voice control, the app is quite easy to use compared to some and worked first time. At the asking price I would say their an absolute bargain. If you can get them discounted like I did an absolute steal.
They just work
After a love hate few years with Philips Hue system and tear induciong times adding and removing the hue lights from alexa over and over again for it to only work half the time I tried a cheap govee bulb. What a difference, it simply worked out of the box, paired with Alexa and the colours are fantastic. I instantly bagged up ALL of the Hue lights, threw ther bridge out and replaced the entire house with Govee bulbs for less than the price on one Hue colour bulb. every single one has been simplicity and works well. Should have doe it years ago. Sometimes you get what you pay for and other times the lower priced stuff is mazing. Govee is simply amazing. (The rope lights are great too)
Installed the light to the lounge room of the house. Was really impressed with the quality and colors of the “neutral” or “illumination” lights, much better than previous non-smart cheap bulbs that were tiring to the eyes due to barely noticable flickering. Also, this one is much brighter than I thought smart bulbs are and overall genuinely impressed with how it performs. The colored settings are great as well, easily controlled with the app.
The only concern with this light is privacy. I didn’t realize it will connect to my Wi-Fi – meaning it is communicating with some servers somewhere and potentially collecting data. I had another govee device – LED strips, and these were communicating via Bluetooth only. At first I thought that it’s not much of a deal, but then I realized lamp can use connected device microphone and that gave me some uneasiness. On the bright side, seems like there is no microphone on the bulb itself, thus this privacy concern potentially can be avoided by killing the app when not in use or restricting microphone usage. Reading online seems like other people are a bit concerned about Govee’s app data collection, but that’s another topic, not fully related to this review.
TL;DR: pretty good quality lamp bulb for a comparably low price. Good brightness on illumination mode, no flickering and colors are vivid.
Quality Govee product as always
Easy to connect and plenty of choices of colours to choose from. The Govee app is very intuitive and responsive as well. Brightness of bulb is very good, my fifth product bought from the company always recommended !
Very good product from a good brand
The price and the functionality of this lightbulb we Govee app makes me wonder why I never considered more expensive brands. The integration with other systems Google and Alexa is very good, and the bulbs themselves gives a bright, and crisp light with lots of variance in both colour and intensity. The only problem I can see is as a night light. It is still a little too bright, but all the other scenes are very good.

The product itself is bang on, good price and effective, good light, lots of variety and easy to install and use. BUT….. the govee app feels a little sus, I don’t know why it needs my location, it already has WiFi access so why does it need it, the app itself is kinda messy, it’s not very intuitive and would be overwhelming for some, it’s also obsessed with the upsell, almost immediately asks you to pay money to become a premium user to get better customer service. You made a good product and then shot yourself in the foot by making a bad app and upselling for data and extras
Good value for money but could be bette
We bought this light about a week ago for a ceiling light and a lamp. We set up the app and tried it out and it worked great, you could set it to party mode or you could put it on meditation mode and relax. They both worked fine for about half an hour but then the lamp bulb conked out, we tried the app and the Alexa and after those didn’t work we contacted Govee who told us to see if it was better in an hour or so and I’m glad to say that it was.
I loved how you could change it to loads of different colours and also how you could set routines like for it to turn on at when you get home from work. you could see all the different possibilities with these lights as you can link them to lots of other smart devices like TV’s and echo’s. Unlike some of the other more expensive alternative’s like Phillips or Samsung smart bulbs these lights are affordable and work just as well. Overall I think its Affordable, easy to set up and good quality.
I wasn’t expecting much but these are great, I tried other brands but returned them due to poor quality or performance, with Govee I ordered 10 more to fill the house. Main white is really bright, I have mine set to 5% which is still plenty and saves energy. The colours are rich and bright (has a beautiful UV blue). I found the app to be straightforward with a fair amount of settings and styles to play with.
Even if you just want a standard white light bulb I’d still recommend these, as soft white is the default colour so you don’t even need the app, just plug and play. They pair with alexa flawlessly as do all the Govee products I now have. A nice product at an affordable price thank you Govee.
Good but be careful what you pay
Govee products are usually excellent and do exactly what they say they will do.
These lights are no exception to that, they are bright and work well with the app. They are easy to set up and the connection is stable. A lot of more expensive products could benefit from being as easy to connect and set up as these are!
The one niggle I have with Govee is their pricing. Its very flexible and they often put the prices up from day to day and then back down again. Its very noticeable if you use one of the price tracking extensions
Versatile bulbs with plenty of options but the app it a bit obtuse
These bulbs are great for RGB lighting. You can use them as normal white bulbs setting the colour temperature from warm to cool white and the brightness from 1% to 100% (although I think the 1% is more like 10%). At 100% they are roughly as bright as a 60W incandescant bulb.
And then you can set them to any shade of RGB and brightness. And then they can be set to cycle through a myriad of colour schemes. And then they can be set to turn on and off at various times during the day. And then there are automation facilities where you can control what each bulb does at various times of the day.
WIth all this functionality available the unituitive app takes some getting used to but perseverance pays off eventually. The bulbs can also be voiced controlled using Alexa and Google.
To sum up the bulbs are great and do everything you’d expect from remotely controlled RGB bulbs but the app could be more friendly.
Easy to set up, great to use
The kids love the fact these can be synced to music. I like the flexibility of dimming and brightening the bulb to sleep or wake. They are good fun and easy to use as well as being reasonably priced.

These are great value, and as they are LED they have an excellent life span. The app that you use to control these is great as well, plenty of scenes available, that shift between set colours with different timings to create an atmosphere, some examples, flickering candlelight, bonfire, night time sky, northern lights. You can even create your own. Has timings so you can set particular scheme to wake you up etc, and can expand with additional accessories for motion detection etc.
Makes life easie
I love these light bulbs A because my hall way is very dark no window B light out side my bathroom door I have the build on red to make it easier for me getting to the bathroom on a night time, I Just ask Alexa to turn either light on of off .. It’s perfect for me as I have disability’s thie is a god send to me ,Thankyou
Excellent bulbs
I bought this for me and my parents to use in our bedrooms, it works great so far and has a vastly packed app with many features to create a unique, easy and useful experience. If you’re looking for a decently priced yet excellent light bulb. I’d recommend govee and all of their products as they are all priced decently well for the quality of their products.

It goes pretty bright so we’ve turned it down in the app and love the different lighting affect we can use depending on the mood we’re in.

Great bulbs but..
I bought 4 Govee bulbs which I really like. The white is quite bright but the other colours are a little dim. The bulbs are only 800lm so it was a little noticeable when switching but I installed 3 in one room and they are amazing. The bulbs however do not come with a remote and are controlled via Bluetooth on the Govee app which has not been an issue for me at all. There is a slight delay when flicking the switch and the actual light coming on however it is only about a second or two, which has also not been any problem for me.
Overall, I consider these a great gift for anyone and would recommend giving it a try!
Very bright, awesome but only app no remote
The bulbs are very bright which is nice, colour choices is awesome too but only concern is that it is only able to register up to 1 device meaning 1 person can get access to it at a time unless u revoke theirs
Works well; easy to set up
The bulbs work well straight out of the box and are easy to setup.
Already had the Govee app for another item and so took no more than 5 minutes each. Alexa app notified me that it had added & configured them before I had even finished setting them up in the Govee app..

Fantastic product. Easy to install. Govee App has some very nice functionality. Would highly recommend choosing Govee over any of the there smart lighting manufacturers. I have previously owned TP Link smart bulbs and TCP smart bulbs. The UI design of the app and the ease of use/functions/lighting from the bulb are far superior to the above
Good price for two smart / Alexa connect colour changing bulbs not bad at all, good brightness & colours , features .. so shouldn’t really complain as it’s cheap.
But do have a gripe with them, unless I’m doing something wrong .. that is, you have to have the app open all the time to fully to use the music sync, as it runs from the mic feature in the app , so if say your using a music app from the same device say an phone/tablet & you open it up to skip a song etc on top of the grovee app the music sync doesn’t work until you pull the grovee app back open at the front & then I found I had to click the mic feature off & back on to mic in the app for it to pick the music up again so if you were using this for a party & using a music app, you’re probably best to use two separate devices, one for the mic feature/grovee app & another for the music
TIP.. if connecting to Alexa & probably applies to other similar devices, if you are replacing this from a similar Wi-Fi type bulb, to make it so much easier to connect this one, delete the old one first & maybe even name this one slightly different until you have it connected up , as Alexa kept bringing up both the old one ,even though no longer connected & the new one, which made it a bit of a headache to get it connected properly & working fully , made even more so as they both had same names & I kept getting so annoyed wondering why the thing wouldn’t work lol
