Bought a sz 3 for my 6mnth old doberman, he’s gone from an absolute loony on a lead to walking normally, as soon as I put it on he wasn’t amused, but it worked instantly deserves 10 stars.

3 weeks after 1st using it, i use it regularly….a really fast dog that constantly pulled while walking, n pleasure whatsoever, has transformed this crazy collie/sheep dog. A blessing, highly recommended!

Bought for my reactive dog to try and help redirect him when on walks. Works well as you have control of the head so you can guide the dog where you like. Reduced pulling and lunging

My 10 month old labrador is getting stronger by the day, I have pains in my hands from him pulling so much with his K9 harness. But this has been a lifesaver, he still pulls a wee bit then realises that he has it on and stops. Walks are so much more pleasurable now, totally recommend this

Really helps my dog not pull as much on the lead however you do still need to do training aswell and get them used to wearing it and reward them for not pulling and walking nicely next to you. Won’t use long term, but good tool to help me train my dog in the interim

Once I worked out the bit about attaching to the collar and where to attach lead it was easy, my firstattempt I put the small clip to the lead but it’s commen sense, that I did it wrong. Hard to explain, size 3. Was correct size for my lab

Works great like the older version we had. Some have a plastic clip that goes below the dogs chin to alter the size of the hoop around the dogs nose. These break easily, however this one is fixed. Also, since it’s fixed it wont come loose and ride up the dogs eye while out walking. Which can cause serious injury

Works for my dog but might not for others. Good quality and fitted him perfectly. Doesn’t pull on walks now and is much easier to control. Does always get his foot stuck in the part that attaches to the collar as it’s quite long so I’ve tied it and it fits better.

absolutely brilliant halti for my ever pulling 10 month old golden retriever. Used it for the 1st time today after a bit of refusal from her she was persuaded with lots of high value treats and she walked like a dream. A real game changer. No more pulled stretched arms she just walked by my side.

Wow wow wow, should have got one ages ago, I have jack russell who pulls like mad, not anymore! OK so i bought size one, fits perfect, he was unsure at first and tried to get it off.. praise and treats help. Set off on walk he lay down but soon got used to i

The Halti has made walking our very strong, young Labrador a pleasure, rather than a challenge, particularly for my wife. It really does work but you need a harness, rather than a collar for it to work well.

Whoever invented this is a genius. I can’t believe the difference, it not only saves my arms from being ripped from there sockets, it stops the jumping on people that walk past , stops cat chases. It literally gives you complete control! Absolutely amazing product!!

I have a young English springer spaniel, used to pull me and honestly didn’t think this was going to work! I’m absolutely shocked how well its changed our walks to be more controllable for me! I have just got back from my first work with her using this and i cannot recommend it more if you have troubles like I did with dog pulling!

Treat training and praise did not have any effect on my scent trail addicted dog, so walks had become a bit of a nightmare with pulling in all directions. The first time I used the Halti the walk was a whole new experience, I was in control. There was a bit of head shaking and pawing to start with but I think that is to be expected. My dog now sits on the bottom of the stairs so that I can put the Halti on without bending so it seems that he is comfortable wearing it.

I have used a harness and slip collar on my strong Labrador. I thought I had made progress with the slip collar but she had started to pull again at times. I did have doubts whether the halti would be effective but I’m over the moon – although the dog isn’t. No pulling and walks are bliss again. Dog owner 1 – Labrador 0

We have an 8 year old lab who still has a LOT of strength and energy. I was so fed up of her pulling so much (despite plenty of training). This Halti was a total game changer from the moment she tried it.
I WISH we had found it years ago. Thank you!!

This works well, however this size could do with having a slightly longer bit where you attach the lead,as it doesn’t give my dog much leeway for head movement.
Smaller sizes do not have the same problem

I have 3 dogs, a Labrador – Dutch shepherd and German shepherd. They’re all fairly good on the lead but when my nephew wants to walk them he’s just not strong enough if they smell something or go to change direction bought these 2 days ago they arrived today, tried them all on and they’re a perfect fit ( Size 3 ) and they work a charm. Hopefully now my nephew can walk my lab Chase without being dragged somewhere haha

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSo despite excellent reviews I was apprehensive if this would work as I have two lively dogs. But oh my my my what a little miracle . My german shepherd took immediately to it . My spaniel initially tried to pull it off , roll around , scratch at it wildly like he was some kind of abused animal and I thought ahh well guess not. However I decided to pursue further desperately readjusting the halti until after ten minutes something wonderful happened . He started getting used to it . By the end of the hour walk he was walking happily as opposed to ripping my arm out of my socket.
The next day I got them ready again and anticipated some trouble from him. However he happily walked out the door and was the most pleasant walk yet. Weeks later he’s happier out in longer walks and being heavily pregnant I’m able to enjoy them with him . This is a miracle . But I would say if they give you trouble sy first be persistent .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot this for my miniature labradoodle (small retriever sized about 26kg).

Fits well and easy to adjust. Makes a instant and very noticeable affect on him pulling.

Works great for this, before he would pull your arm out its socket (no joke) and now it removes his ability to get any power behind a pull and has saved a lot of pain.

We had the side affect that our dog has become more growly towards other dogs on walks when wearing, but we think this is a feeling of vulnerability issue that is isolated to our dog.

Can take a little while to get the tightness of the harness just right, as a few times the dog did get out of it but luckily and by design the harness clips to his collar so no chance of escape!

I however am not happy because I used to love running at 100 mph and dragging her behind me! I’m going to set up a petition to ban these things! Email me if you want to sign. Regards a naughty 18 month old fat (it’s puppy fat) golden retrieve

I have a reactive shepsky 27kg. Wanted to train him to be able to use public transport, yet was scared that he will bark and react too much.
This product really helped! It gives me full control of his head, yet it is not a muzzle and gives him freedom to drink , have treats and hold toys in a mouth.
Dog was not exited about wearing it ,but he learned to accept it with a bit of training and rewards.
We went on underground, bus and had trips to Norwich and Hastings, so it definitely worked for us.( only wearing it while traveling)

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersA few weeks ago whilst my dog was dragging me up the lane we managed to almost stop to talk to a neighbour. This was only because he was out in his front garden with his seven (!) dogs all of whom wanted to have a conversation with mine. I was almost horizontal at this point and my ears were bleeding with the noise, however, in amongst all the chaos and mayhem I heard him say “halty, look on Amazon” he called out as I was swept away.

So I did look on Amazon, and there I found the Halti head collar. Being a cynic I read many reviews, watched several videos and eventually, after a couple more weeks being dragged hither and thither I decided to give this thing a whirl. I also invested in the Halti training lead. I waited for delivery with a certain amount of excitement…could this be The Miracle we’ve been hoping for?

A couple of weeks ago our postlady gaily threw the parcel over the gate — she’s very enthusiastic in her work, which is only a bad thing when we’ve ordered something breakable and/or it’s raining. Anyhow, the Halti was here. Oh the excitement! I could hardly contain myself. Doggo? Well she gave me a funny sort of look which said — If you think I’m going to out dressed in THAT, you can think again. A little gentle persuasion and lots of treats and the collar was on, the lead attached and we were ready for off. Well. I was, but She lay down and played Dead. More treats. A couple of steps. More treats. There was a lot of rolling about and head rubbing — doggo, not me, but then, suddenly, she was up and eager to get going!

It has been an amazing cople of weeks. We only have to show her the collar and she pushes her snout into it, getting lots of cuddles and praise while the lead is attached. She walks to heel and really seems to enjoy going for walks. She can still sniff the ground as we go, she can breathe, drink water, bite the occasional postlady — just kidding, it’s the male (mail?) variety she prefers — seriously, she can do what a normal, well-behaved dog does as the head collar doesn’t impede her at all, and we now both enjoy our walks. I am no longer a cynic, this truly has been a game changer and what was once a dreaded chore is now a really enjoyable experience. This has probably been the investment of around 20.

I must point out that doggo is a Labrador — a Lab/border collie cross who came to us almost a year ago from an animal shelter. She was about three months old at the time and had no training, and no socialisation with other animals or humans, so this turn around has really been fantastic for her and us, her human family.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have a 9 month old golden retreiver, who with loads of training was still pulling on the lead to the point we could no longer bring him out, it was too dangerous for us, especially the kids, he would have them falling on the ground or worse pulled out into the road, and the pain in our arms trying to hold him back. He was also choking himself on the collar pulling so hard. We had no control. With this he is walking slower and no pulling, he is not reacting to everything and everyone anymore, just calmly keeps strolling, the kids can hold him again with ease, including our 8 year old. It is difficult to put on, he puts up a lot of resistance, though it has gotten less, he also spends the first 10-15 minutes rubbing his head along the ground trying to remove it, but he eventually settles. I was worried i bought the wrong size at first, but it’s something I have seen all the dogs in our area who wear one do. Highly recommend, I hope that soon he will realise that walks are enjoyable if he doesn’t pull and strangle himself and we can go back to using the collar or back harness again.

This fits my goldador well, he hates it with a passion but it has reduced his pulling from highspeed to a more leisurely last orders at the bar pace . He is still trying to get it off and we are still working on it but I now can’t walk him without it.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI’ve raised a lot of dogs from my own to rescues, foster dogs with baggage to therapy dogs. My standard poodle is super affectionate and a favorite at doggie daycare, with people and in general. However since the day I rescued him at 4 months old he’s always been reactive on the lead but I lived in the country then on 6 acres and it wasn’t an issue until my recent move to the suburbs. He has a high prey drive, reactive to the delivery trucks, people of different colors, other dogs and wheelchairs only when on a leash. I can’t take him anywhere because of it. He’s constantly pulling his 70lbs no matter what on a lead. I hated walking him and was so embarrassed. Walking my dog is something I enjoy but with him it’s been super stressful. I can barely hold him when he goes off. I’ve tried walking him at times when nobody is outside to more secluded areas, wearing a pinch collar, a bark collar, a choke collar, and a collar that goes such as a slip lead right under his throat area and by his ears and nothing has worked nothing. I learned using all those collars during a walk is heightened his reactiveness. He is reactive, barking and scary when he’s on his lead and people are afraid of him. This is not OK-so I watch some reactive dog training videos to learn what I’m doing wrong because once you accept it’s the trainer/owner you’re halfway to home. I ordered this halti collar from the video that was shown and it works. Just used this and his regular buckle collars. No pinch, choke, remote or anything else! I’m walking with a loose lead for the first time with him in 8 years. EIGHT damn years! He lunged one time at a dog and that was it. The rest of the time he just stood and looked people, delivery trucks, other dogs and even a man in a wheelchair on this walk I video tapped. He normally would go nuts. It is unbelievable!!! I can’t get over it within five minutes best 20 bucks I’ve ever spent. God I love this! I’ve told other friends with the same issue. Looking forward to RELAXING controlled loose leash walks! Looking forward to not having every last breath of me sucked out because walks were a huge stress ball! No more! Last picture chomping a pig ear proves the eye roll before the walk was drama and he’s fine! Winning!!!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOther then the odd rolling and the lead going under the legs, even with distraction he can not pull, my xl bully 7month pup pulls so much I ended up with a foot in a pond, as he was trying to get to a duck, i haven’t tested it around the pond, but my daughter is his biggest hype and if he can not pull seeing her ike in the video (thats as much as he can pull in the video) I believe it will work in all situations, and let me tell you my shoulder felt great on our walk last night, as much as he rolled around he couldn’t remove it, he also intentionally tried to stand on the lead to pull it off, also didn’t work, I’d recommend this, yh he’s not to fond of it yet but like with any training they get used to it and he doesnt really stop me putting it on him so far, I’d definitely invest if u want a nice no pulling walk

I bought this anti-pull face lead after trying everything with my 7 month old Labrador. I have tried slip leads and harnesses and neither have ever worked. He would pull constantly throughout the whole walk, pull on his hind legs towards other dogs and skip over roads when crossing.
I bought this item out of desperation to have a behaved puppy on walks as he is overall amazing, but walking is not his strong point.

As soon as putting the lead on, he was a changed dog. I can hold the lead with two fingers without any pulling and have a well behaved pup again. This is an amazing product and I would recommend to anyone who is struggling. I didn’t quite believe the reviews when purchasing, thought it was too good to be true but honestly they’re all true.

Money well spent and I am over the moon!

This was bought with the Halti lead too which helps with control.

    Amazing products!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersOur Labrador pulled like a train it’s early days, but this seems to be the only thing we have tried that has helped him to understand what we are asking him to do (ie not widdle up every tree, bush, lamppost and wall he sees and not pull your arm out of its socket to get there). Tip – to get them use to the collar use treats while you get it on then immediately feed them their meal by the time they have finished eating they have forgotten their wearing it do that for a few days before venturing outside with it on.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this (size 4) for my year old Rottweiler pup who recently had surgery on her leg. After 3 months of strict cage rest she no longer walks to heal as she used to and in order to protect her leg from her pulling too much we bought this. It does work to stop her pulling at full force (which is a lot as a Rottweiler, even though she is small for her breed at only 37 kg) but she hates it (as does my Labrador which we trialled with a previous HALTI head harness) and tries to get it off by either rubbing her face on the grass, against my leg or using her foot.

It’s not hard to get on, it goes over the muzzle, clips on the side of the face and there’s a clip that attaches to the collar (I recommend a double clip lead so you can attach one bit to the harness and one to your dog’s collar/body harness just in case the head harness does slip off) and my dog is pretty happy for me to put it on her. My mum took her for a walk the other day and told me the harness had slipped off her head. The lead was also attached to her collar so she was safe but it’s not at all ideal. We have since retightened the strap around her head and are hoping it doesn’t do that again.

We had an identical HALTI head harness and only had to get a new one as a result of my dog’s operation and subsequent loss of lead control; we had had the other one for a long time for our previous dog and while it remained in good condition, we seldom used it because after training they don’t need it. Getting this will not fix your dog’s lead walking without simultaneous training, it is merely a tool to reduce them pulling you as much as they possibly can while you undertake said training.

Overall I would recommend this if you have a dog that likes to pull you and as a training aid but I would not recommend it if you are looking for an instant fix because if that is the case it will only irritate you and your dog.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI’ve never wrote a review before, however this needs one.
I purchased this a few months ago and tried it once but my pup at that time wasn’t having any of it and was trying to scratch it off and I thought nope can’t do this and went back to the pulling harness which was a huge mistake. She was a pulling, jumpy, most energetic dog I’ve ever seen she’s been to dog walkers and a trainer who both couldn’t believe how energetic and jumpy she was from no age I thought I was never going to enjoy my walks with her, with me having a 2 year old toddler running and a 10 month old pup I always came home in tears from stress and pain from her jumping and pulling from everyone and everything that walked past to just pulling in general. I purchased this again and thought what have I got to lose. It’s the best decision I’ve made now that she’s abit older, a reward once she puts the Headcollar on and she doesn’t scratch at all to try remove it which shows me she’s in no discomfort, it’s a perfect fit and she is a completely different dog to walk it’s amazing and I wish I was consistent the first time but now I can finally enjoy my walks it’s like walking a feather!! I purchased it for
9.99 which is a complete bargain, she’s 10 months old and we went for the size 3. It will only let me upload one video but it shows I barley even have to hold the lead it’s amazing I really can’t believe the difference. I also have the halti lead but I find any lead works, here I’m using an extendable lead and have just as much control with it.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersI have a chow chow who considers himself a sleigh pulling dog, all our walks result in my arm pulled out of the socket because it takes him 5 miles of pulling to calm down to a decent walking pace! He weighs about 30 kilos for reference, and I’m fairly small in stature. I was at a loss with what I could do to stop him pulling so badly – chows are notorious for being stubborn and ignoring any sort of command unless it suits their own agenda I can’t believe I didn’t know about this headcollar all this time, I read the reviews and I was sceptical, I admit, but the deal was fantastic at the time so I decided to take the plunge. We had our first walk with it on today and OH. MY. GOD. It’s like I’ve been given a different dog. OK, he was a little confused at first and did try to take it off a few times, so it took a few minutes to figure out a rhythm to walk to (encouraging him a lot and keeping him slightly ahead of me so the collar doesn’t snap into his mouth, he does have a short snout) but once we sorted that out… Honestly, I’ve no idea how this works – something to do with slightly pulling his head to the side every time he pulls I guess – but it’s crazy. I have never had such a relaxing walk with him and I’m happy to report my arm and shoulder are happily connected still! If you struggle with your dog pulling I cannot recommend this enough! I thought no way this is going to work with someone as stubborn as a chow, he’s so far found his way out of every contraption and muzzle, but it does, it honestly does! I am so so excited and happy with this product.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersLet me set the scene for you. 3 dogs – border collie, collie x whippet & a Labrador. As soon as they see another dog whilst on lead the collie x whippet goes into instant pr!ck mode! Barking, lunging, savagely trying to get to the other dog, the Labrador then pipes in like Tommy 10 men (who is actually a massive baby!), barking and pulling. Add to the mix the Border Collie who is now barking savagely at the his companions, I’m guessing in a bid to help me, it doesn’t! I’m a 8.5 stone 33 year old woman. I start on one side of the road and end up off the pavement being pulled across the road whilst trying to hold my feet on the ground – impossible!
Train them? Yep! Done that! Hours and days and weeks and months of continuous and on going training. Take them out individually I’d get a place at crufts! The three of them together behave like Phil & Grant Mitchell with Peggy screaming in the background!!

I’ve bought harness, after harness, including the expensive Julius K9 – nothing, nothing works like this head collar!! It’s like a spell has been put on them! It’s honestly an absolute game changer!! No pulling – nothing! Loose leads all round! The Labrador used to pull so quickly if he picked up a scent he’s pulled me over more than once, pop the head collar on it’s like there’s a magic forcefield around him that doesn’t allow him to get to the end of the lead!

I’m the biggest fan of reward based training and I’m sure you have to have a good base of training but if you’re at the end of your tether and have tried everything and spent a small fortune doing so, stop! You’ve found your answer here buy this head collar you absolutely will not regret it!!
I was concerned about the nose strap as I’ve had ones before that really dig into the nose and eyes – this one doesn’t do that in the slightest. They’re soft, thick and really well made.
I wish I had found this sooner!
