I’ve had powerful fans before and usually they’re very loud and vibrate a lot. This is caused by the mechanism of the fan not being fully balanced or the body being poorly made. This fan is quiet and rock steady. Really impressive mechanism, because it spins extremely fast and moves a really large amount of air. Very impressive. If I was to nitpick I’d like it to be able to angle down as well as up, and I’d rather it started at level 1 when when plugged in rather than level 3. But that’s minor complaint. Its be best fan we’ve had and it has been very very useful in the heatwave.

We have been using this fan from Honeywell for the last 4 weeks as it was scorchingly hot for several consecutive days, with temperatures reaching 39 Celsius. This fan proved to be very handy and useful. It made it easier to pull through the days as it provided reliable and continuously decent performance. Compared to our standard aged fan, this one is way stronger in terms of oscillation speeds, making it possible to air the whole living room. Opening opposite windows also helped and made circulation even more optimal.

For this price range, this fan provides amazing performance, making it worth it. I wouldn’t consider this to be a ‘portable’ fan as I find it bulky and not as easy to carry around. I would suggest to get it if you want something that you intend to keep in one place or move rarely.

This floor-standing fan is a chunky but stable design that would help to ventilate an office or open plan domestic space. We have ours positioned in the coldest room of the house pointing out into the rest of the house, to try to get some of that cold air circulating (am writing this review in the middle of a UK heat wave of sustained c. 30C heat – which for the UK is not normal).

It is not quiet – which it doesn’t really claim to be – but I thought it prudent just to mention that. It makes a kind of thrumming sound in the lower frequency range. I don’t mind it terribly provided the fan is not located right near where I am trying to have a conversation.

It does put out a fair degree of wind, so I am happy with it on that count alone, helped by its decent size. The build-quality is robust as well, so it doesn’t feel rickety. It has 3 fan speeds and it will oscillate from side to side – which it does so in a smooth and mechanically silent way. There is a timer-off setting as well. It comes with an IR remote control for convenience. The buttons on the unit itself are soft-touch rather than mechanical push-down-buttons – and therein lies the one irk that I have about this It’s a bit of a ‘First World Problem’, but the lack of push-down controls means it cannot be put onto a smart-plug for on/off integration into a smart-home environment, nor does it come with WiFi for a more thorough integration. It has to be controlled either on the unit or by the IR remote (which is liable to getting lost). If it were to have a ‘resume state on AC power restore’ setting then that could have overcome it, but sadly it doesn’t. If you have it running and then turn it off at the mains, then when you turn it back on at the mains it doesn’t resume running like you would have in a traditional button-controlled fan.

Still, I’m very happy with it for its potency and quality, so for that I am still pleased.

The power on this fan is amazing and it does actually cool down the room rather then just circulate hot air around like some other fans. This is noisy but I can still hear the telly etc.
    well made good quality fan.
One of the good features is the fan moves from side to side so you don’t end up feeling like your in the North Pole.
    I would definitely recommend

Like other reviewers I was also deceived by the “personal” fan marketing and was surprised to see just how big it is. In hindsight, should’ve paid attention to the dimensions. While the fan is large, it’s got the power to back the size up. It can easily satisfy a large living room with everyone getting plenty of air. The oscillation is handy to have and so is they remote. They work as expected. The fan’s build quality is what I’d expect of a big brand like Honeywell, it’s sturdy and seems like would last a long time.
With all these positives, price over a 100 still seems excessive to me, and I find it hard to recommend until it’s about 20-30% cheaper.

This is a larger fan than many, it comes in a beautifully printed retail box and could be an excellent gift item.
This is a powerful but compact fan that is designed to be sat on the floor of the room it is to be used in.
It runs on a mains UK 3 pin plug and has a handy remote control device included.
Hot air always rises to the to upper part of the room and having a powerful floor fan as low as possible is a very sensible and cheap way of cooling a room that has a regular height ceiling.
This fan quickly pushes the cooler air up to where you need it.
The remote control works from a good distance which is useful because the best results from this fan are felt when you are between 6 and 12 meter’s away from it.
The fan starts at the full speed and the remote can easily be used to turn it down if needed.
The oscillation feature is good if you are not on your own and want to share the cool air!
My only negative thoughts are that at the top speed it is pretty loud, not that it bothers us because a bit of noise is better than boiling up. And that the fan has only three blades, generally speaking the more blades a fan has the smoother the airflow it produces, this one having only three can best be described as coarse! This may also be why it is loud at the top speed!
Lastly regular cleaning and maintenance might be an issue with no obvious way to remove the grille to clean the blades.
Overall this is a very competent fan from the brand leader in this field. It is priced close to 100 and when you see how solid and well made it is you will understand why it is the price it is.
Bear in mind it costs a fraction of the price to run this that any air conditioner would use and you will see you could be onto a winner!
The size and power make this a viable commercial option for an office or retail space.
I would certainly recommend this item. Happy to help!

I ordered this fan to replace old metal one that unfortunately is now covered in dust and rust.

Arrived in a large and well branded box.

Much bigger than I expected, is advertised as small personal fan when it is actually a large floor fan that circulates air all around a large room.

Flexible turbo force fan that oscillates around the room and allows head angle to be tilted 90 degrees. No issues in setting fan to your optimum position, once set you don’t have to adjust tilt again.

Works by remote control with 3 speed settings, all of which quite powerful.

Love this fan, on highest speed it is like having a jet engine directed towards you face. Pure heaven on a hot day.

Overall, very powerful modern floor fan that will last much longer than it’s metal competitors.

    I would recommend this product.

At the time of taking this fan it was 104 but has now dropped down to 88 which still seems a little on the high side but it being bigger than the description said was actually a great thing when this little mini heatwave hit.

He came out and went straight on, yes he is noisy but at full speed it is going to be and honestly it is no noisier than my air cooler and he is just as essential, I either have rainstorms playing or just relax listening to them as they keep me cool, if you hate white noise then this probably is not the fan for you.

Way too big to be sat on a desk you will need ample floor space and use the remote control as walking back and forth to make changes is very tiring and time consuming, for me this fan offers decent value due to how it has helped me survive in 30+ temperatures and with this seemingly becoming the new norm I doubt it is the last time we will be calling in him for help.

I really love this design over the pedestal fan as it takes less space and can sit directly in the corner without noticing it.
3 super powerful speeds, 90 degree oscillation and 90 degree pivot (up and down) will give you plenty of adjustment to find perfect spot for it and cool down the whole area.
Remote control is something fancy that you get with this fan and it is handy as you do not need to go directly to the fan to change its settings.
When turned on I have to say it is louder than any other fan. This fan, in my opinion, is more for slightly larger offices more than home use. I have tried it outdoors on few super hot days and I can say it performed a lot better than indoor. So, there still lays a question if this is perfect indoor fan or is there something to change. Maybe a slight improvement of water spray would be a lot more effective indoors but who knows.

Overall, somewhat different fan compared to ones I used before and definitely more effective outdoors than indoors.

Oh wow, this fan nearly blew me away! Literally. It’s so powerful!! Plus it comes with a very useful and responsive remote control that i love to control it with in my bedroom ( saves getting out of bed!! ). The remote control can do everything! From altering the speed, to oscillation to stopping the fan when it’s hitting the spot to turning it on and off! LEGENDARY!

We have this fan on a little table at the end of our bed. I just can’t sleep when too hot and this fan has been worth its weight in gold for getting a good nights sleep!

One thing that may bother some people but doesn’t bother us since we’re big fans of white noise helping us sleep is the sound. This fan is not a quiet fan and is in actual noisier than the average fan. So if you’re after something quiet this likely isn’t for you.

The quality is impressive and this black fan is a lot nicer looking than most fans. We’ve never had a fan with a remote control before and we honestly can’t get enough of it!!! The remote is epic and certainly worth paying more for!

This is a super powerful fan that will cool anyone down within seconds. It’s got great features and works a charm. We absolutely love this large and mighty Honeywell fan!

This is a great fan – much bigger than I expected! It appears sturdy and worked straight from the box, no assembly of grilles etc needed. It can be remote controlled with features: on/off, oscillation, speed (3 settings) and a useful timer (1, 2 & 4 hrs).

What I particularly liked is the ability to swivel the fan’s angle – you can direct it to send air upwards should you so wish, or angle to bounce off walls so the effect of its power is not so strong. Direct it straight at you and you’ll need to hold things down. I jest slightly, but it is described as a turbo fan – and the fastest setting does indeed produce a strong wind. For my size of lounge, the lowest setting is fine – and naturally quietest.

As for vfm – well it’s very expensive for what it is. But it is a good fan.

Quality, just as I expected from long established brand Honeywell.

I was a bit daunted by the size of the box at first, but once unboxed there unit isn’t all that big, just we’ll packed.

Furthermore, it is fully formed, nothing to assemble. Whip it out, plug it in, pull the battery isolation tab out of the remote control, and you’re good to go.

Turning on starts the fan on full power. Press the fan button to turn it down a level or two. Press the oscillation button to start or stop oscillation.

Turn off when finished, or press the timer button to start a timer mode.

There is a handy remote slot round the back of the unit.

The unit looks smart. Black, modern, turns nicely and isn’t too noisy. Can easily be angled up. Much better than an unsturdy pedestal fan.

And cool. The air is lovely. Just what is needed for warmer weather in the house.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fan-tastic, of course!

I use this fan for my home gym and it’s perfect – the rotation is great, the fan is powerful, it’s easy to adjust in terms of speed. Couldn’t ask for more!

  14. Anonymous says:

This fan is much more powerful tan expected. I think that is because it is very big with wide spanning fan blades.

The movement is excellent and there is zero set up required as it comes ready assembled.

The start speed is maximum so ensure you have nothing like loads of paperwork nearby before turning it on.

The remote is responsive and comes with batteries pre installed.

It has enough wind to reach over 3 metres of my living room and the plants on the window were quivering even at that distance.

    Highly recommended.

Not quite, but it is not small, but quite powerful for its size – just under 43cm in diameter.
This is easily provide enough breeze for a medium size room, as the air could reach to 12m
It can tilts to 90 degree upwards, and do oscillations.
You can control the on/off, speeds ( 3 ), oscillations and timer, with the included remote – which can be securely docked on the fan stand.
It is not the lightest @ just over 5.5kg.
Price is very reasonable @ 90 for a trusted brand.

Honeywell Turbo Force Digital Oscillating Floor Fan – HF715BE

The product title says ‘small’ when it’s not. It is like medium size, quite chunky for a desk fan.

Design and build: This electric fan is made from sturdy plastic. It has a remote control to conveniently change its output (1-3), timer setting (1, 2, and 4hrs), oscillate, and switch the fan on/off), or there are buttons on the fan to change its settings.

Functional: The fan angle is adjustable, and it oscillates 90 degrees, making it versatile. The LED lights tell the power level and timer setting. Its wind output is defo strong and decent, especially at level 3.

Convenience: It could have been better if it had a proper handle to easily move it around the house as it is pretty heavy considering it’s made from good quality plastic. And, I can’t find a way to open the fan, so I am unsure how to clean the blades when dirt accumulates on them.

Overall, I find it recommendable, not considering its asking price, which I find too much for what you get.

  17. ShermanUpjohn says:

Very powerful fan, the size and the speed that can reach is able to move an incredible amount of air, 3 different speed setting, swing mode and timer only down side of this fan is the noise, not the most silent fan would say, own a smaller similar model that is not that quiet too, so I guess is due to the design.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very powerful

Yes, there are inaccuracies in the description of this fan, it’s not small, nor is it a personal fan. But I’m actually quite pleased it’s as big as it is, because it’s much more useful to me as a living-room fan which is where I have set it up. It was lighter than I was expecting when handling the box and the fact that it is so lightweight might be seen by some as indicative of “cheap plastic” but I disagree. Positioned on the floor, it doesn’t need to be heavy and immovable, the build quality certainly doesn’t feel cheap to me. I also really like the look of it, smart, black and sleek. Much more modern than the old-style grey fan on a pedestal that I had previously. It has a remote control which appears to have batteries in it already with the tab that you pull out to activate the batteries but I am loathe to succumb to the remote control I’m trying to keep fit and ‘move more!’ Not less.
Would be a useful feature for someone with mobility issues or bedbound?
Anyone else should get up and use their legs!!
The remote control can stay in its little slot behind the fan, where it has a home, and I needn’t worry about losing it.
The fan has four simple control buttons on the base. First the power button, then the fan speed with LED lights, then the oscillating function and lastly an auto-timer button. Press once, twice or three times depending on how long you want it to stay on for before switching itself off.
This might be a handy feature if you want to have it in the bedroom as you go off to sleep but don’t want it to be on all night long.
So, my verdict is that it’s great.
Hope you find my review helpful to you

This is not a small personal fan for home or Office, it is big, more suited to a gym area as shown in the listing.

Made all in plastic and whilst not ugly, not exactly beautiful (although the same can be said for many fans).

It can oscillate from side to side but for a floor fan I am surprised it can oscillate up and down. You can adjust the angle but it is manual.

It is not quiet but again this is to be expected, it is powerful hence the noise.

Useful slot at the back for the remote which lets you control the speed and oscillate setting.

The fan has a timer but I am not sure when you would use this really. However you needs may differ.

So four stars as it feels expensive for what is inherently a powerful fan.

There is one annoying issue for me in that the fan does not remember its settings when powered back on which means it can’t be used with smart socke

I was not expecting this to be as big and powerful as it is, it’s absolutely fantastic, I have it positioned on my upstairs landing and it keeps air moving through the whole of my upstairs, it’s very well made and comes with a remote and has features like a timer too, this is by far the best fan I have ever had the pleasure of reviewing it’s powerful and very sleek even having a dock in the base for the remote control, 5 stars.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this fan. At almost 100 at the time of this review and its size I was fully expecting to be disappointed but not at all. Honeywell are onto a winner here.

Inside the box it’s really simple. The fan, some documents and a remote control, which I’ve never had with a fan before. I didn’t know I needed this until now. Being able to change speeds, set the timer and turn on/off oscillation from the couch is a game changer.

The fan itself is decently sized, doesn’t take up much floor space and feels sturdy. What I would expect from a product costing this much.

Now, onto the speeds. This thing is a beast! I will say at max speed it’s quite loud. However, if you want a fan with some real power behind it for those unbearably hot summer days, you’ll be glad to have this.

Honestly, i’ve never used a fan that’s stronger than this. For its size it’s seriously impressive. It’s expensive but you do get what you pay for. If this can be grabbed on sale then it’d be a no brainer. 5*
