Worked great for 2 years then it popped like a balloon and the 5 year guarantee it says on the box is rubbish. you can only get in touch within the 2 years only so just missed out.

This is my second Hozelock hose and I love it. Easy to use, never kinks and is easy to store away. I put it in a flower pot with a saucer on top to keep it dry if it rains.

But I was expensively replacing one I got 2 years ago which burst. It doesn’t like being dragged around gravel and paths. But how else can you use it? When it does work it’s great.

A mate needed a new hose but doesn’t have much space, so when I told him about this style of hose he was instantly eager to try it, the space it saves him is massive, the only danger (if you can call it that) is due to the way it opens out when you turn the tap onoff, if you are not paying attention you could trip on it if you’re not that steady anymore (as is in his case), otherwise it’s pretty good, it comes with auto stop ends fitted (on both ends), meaning you can swap guns without having to turn the water off if you wanted, so to release the pressure and shrink the hose you have to hold the gun after turning the tap off to let the water empty from the hose and then it shrinks back down for easy storage.

The only downside I could list is that it leaks, I’m not talking about anything that would mean returning the hose, because I don’t know if it’s supposed to leak what with this being my first experience with such a hose, he puts it under cover as I told him to so the sun doesn’t degrade it (it’s in the info with the hose), but like hoses I’ve had over the years, sometimes you get that slight leak from the connections, bit like a leaky washer, so you couldn’t run this through from the rear to the front of the house (it’s a mid-terrace with no side access) so you would get your carpets wet etc, but I have had normal hoses do the same thing, hence assuming it as a normal thing, but I dare say some will get lucky and be water tight, but it’s the only niggle I have with it, otherwise it’s great.

This is great for my needs. I live in a terrace house and I need a hose that runs through the house to the front garden so that I can water my 17 planters!
It works perfectly so no more carrying heavy watering cans of water. It folds up into a plastic carrier bag and I can store it indoors. Totally happy with this.
I was going to buy a retractable hose to mount on the wall but this is a perfect solution.

I wasn’t sure how long it would be but it will do. I will have to buy a longer one though. My old one lasted years so I considered the quality was good.

I love this hose, its easy to use and store away. I would have given this 5 stars if it lasted longer. I got 2 years from when I bought the last one which burst when using it.

This is a great expanding hose, it takes a little getting used to, – like being able to still use the hose when the tap is turned off – or hose is uncoupled, but works great.

This hose is really light so easy to use. I’ve used it a few times now and the only downside is the water has to be emptied before it shrinks back. So I’ll turn the water off before I’ve finished watering the garden next time.
I’ve been told that a hook used to be supplied to hang the hose on. That would be useful but there wasn’t one in the box I received.
Hopefully this hose will last a long time as it is really nice to use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI don’t normally give reviews but felt i had to with this product. Omg it’s a game changer. I’ve spent years fighting with our heaving hoze. My new hoze is a delight. If you want a light hoze which is easy to store away, this is it. Amazing!!! I probably wouldn’t have it as my main hoze but it’s amazing for a quick, easy, light way of watering the garden. Love it!!! It’s guaranteed 5 years so who cares if it only last a year, I’ll just get another.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis Hosepipe is fantastic I especially like how it expands with water and shrinks too almost nothing when the water has drained from it I had one of the 15 meter ones when they first came out and it split as I used to use it and then pack it away, however in Covid lockdown 2020 I got a 30m version from a very well known orange diy shop and after each use I used to leave it out for a few hours in the sun too dry off and 3 years later I still have it and it still works as well as it did the first time I bought it in fact I have purchased another 30 meter length which very easily couples together and gives me 60meters it is very lightweight and my intention for it is mainly too connect both together so I can wash the motorhome and car easily as you can imagine my garden tap is already 20 meters away so with the added 30+10 gives me an additional 40 meters so I can safely be in the knowledge I will no longer be straining the old one when washing vehicles also I have noticed that Amazon seems to be the cheapest retailer purchase this product from, lastly if you look after this product well it will give you many years of being trouble free

Previous 2hoses failed due to inner tubing burst
Have not seen a suitable alternative that offers the same benefits
For me 30 mtr length too long 15 mtr length too short with nothing in between. Maybe the reason for inner tube rupture

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’ve had my Superhoze for over two years now, so this is a time-served review!
Basically, these hoses are great while they last, but I find that after a year they spring a leak which – due to the expanding nature of the hose – can not be repaired.
However, I’ve had the hose replaced twice: once by Amazon, after I’d had it just over a year; and as that replacement hose is now leaking a further year down the line, it is being replaced by Hozelock under their 3 year guarantee. I’m pleased to say, both claims have been hassle free.
I’d say our use is pretty standard. We have a long garden with a lot of potted plants on a patio at the far end, so the fact that you don’t have to reel in the hose every time you use it is a real bonus. I’d recommend storing the hose in a plastic crate with a few holes drilled in the base for drainage.
In terms of the leaks, since the first hose failed we’ve been very careful to ensure the replacement hose did not snag against the corner of a wall or edge of a step, but our efforts were obviously in vain! For that reason I’d advise to expect to not get much more than a years use if you’re regularly using the full reach of the hose and have walls / steps the hose will have to trail over or around.
Will I buy another one when our third hose (2nd replacement) inevitably starts to leak in a years time, when Hozelock’s very good 3 year guarantee has expired? Probably not to be honest, I think I’ll go for a traditional hose on a good quality wall mounted reel. I’d definitely stick with Hozelock as a brand, however.
