Funktioniert einwandfrei!
Um mir mein Homoffice effizienter zu gestalten, habe ich mir diese Dockingstation als Gebrauchtware gekauft. Habe diese bereits schon auf Arbeit. Tolles Preisleistungsverhltnis und gebrauchte Artikel kaufen, ist auch nachhaltiger fr die Umwelt.
Wie gewohnt TOP Qualitä
Dezentes Design und es macht ein robusten Eindruck, da ist alles fest und nichts klappert. Die Leitungen sehen und fhlen sich hochwertig an. Das USB-C-Kabel ist deshalb, aber auch etwas steifer, aber es lsst sich dennoch gut verlegen und der Laptop kann problemlos berall hin platziert werden.
Die Schnittstellen funktionieren, es gibt kein Piepen von Netzteil und mit das beste ist der Powerknopf, so dass mein Laptop wie ein Buch in einer Halterung gestellt an der Seite steht (Tisch ist schn frei) und alles startet und verbindet sich nur durchs Drucken vom Powerknopf der Dockingstation und weil alles (Netzteil, Bildschirm, Tastatur, Maus, Soundanlage) ber ein USB-C-Kabel luft, muss auch nur dieses vom Laptop getrennt werden, wenn man schnell los muss.

La docking station ha dimensioni e peso contenuti (ma non portatile). E’ alimentata e questo permette di caricare il laptop senza bisogno di utilizzare il cavo di carica del computer. Ha 4 porte USB, 1 USB C, presa jack cuffie, 2 display port e 1 HDMI, e una porta ethernet.
Tutto quello che serve.
Simple setup and 1 cable for all as result!
I have 2 notebooks , one is my wife and another is from my work.
both connected on same TV, so I was tired of switching mouse, keyboard, HDMI every time.
now problem is solved.
the only thing with sound, sometimes after switch to another PC you need to select sound output in computer bottom windows sound icon, to correct one.
if still not helps, just unplug HDM cable from the dock station and replug again.
also the plug was Italian while, but it can be solvable.

Die HP USB-C Dock G5 Dockingstation ist ein “solides” Produkt mit einer Vielzahl an Schnittstellen, mit Ethernetport, mehren USB-A-Schnittstellen, Audio, zwei Displayport-Ausgngen und einem HDMI-Port. Damit lsst sich der Laptop mit nur einem Kabel an alle Schnittstellen anschlieen und gleichzeitig darber laden. Es wird ein passendes Netzteil mit Klinkenstecker, der gut durchdacht auf der Unterseite verschwindet, mitgeliefert. Die Info, dass ein Netzteil dabei ist, fehlt leider in der Amazon Produktbeschreibung.
Problemlose Ergänzung eines HP Envy
Die Installation verlief fast unbemerkt und hat nur wenige Sekunden gedauert. Der Schreibtisch wirkt nun wesentlich aufgermter. Alles an einem Ort und das Laptop kann zugeklappt an einem passenden Ort untergebracht werden…. z. B. unter dem Tisch o. a. das Anschlusskabel lsst dafr gengend Spielraum.

I had a smaller hub that was running two screens but it would get hot and black out on the screens. This unit is great and does not get hot. The sound is much better when I run it thru this hub also.I like the fact that I can turn on/off my laptop with out opening the laptop. yes it's a HP also. It came with a power supply cord that was not in the descrition of the hub.

Lo que se espera
Perfecto para compartir teclado, ratn, impresora, monitor, etc. entre dos equipos. He tenido que devolverlo porque uno de mis porttiles no es compatible, pero la dock funciona perfectamente con el otro. No se calienta, tiene todos los puertos necesarios… Una pena que no me haya servido.
Achat contraint par HP ?
J’ai essay plusieurs docks gnriques avant d’acheter celui-ci. C’est le seul qui russit alimenter mon PC portable HP Elitebook. Pourtant, la puissance d’alimentation en Watts des autres docks tait la mme. A se demander si HP ne vous force pas la main pour acheter son dock HP. Il est beaucoup plus encombrant que les autres, pas forcment mieux conu. Il a au moins un mrite : il est tellement lourd qu’il ne bouge pas du bureau.
I bought this to use with an HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 notebook, which natively supports dual 4k monitors. In the past I have used the HDMI 2.0 output, and a USB-C-to-HDMI-2.0 adapter output for the second display, and never had a problem with dual 4k monitors.
I bought this dock in an attempt to lessen the amount of cables needed to plug into the laptop and an older, larger hub, but despite this hub stating dual 4k screens are supported, I could only get 4k on one output, and 1080p on the second output, no matter which combination of HDMI and DP used.
It turns out the computer BIOS has a default setting that prevents dual 4k monitor support. In order to achieve 4k on both monitors, you need to enter the BIOS and change a setting. Steps:
Turn on or reboot computer, start tapping the Esc key keep until you see a menu (before the Windows starts), then press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup. Next go to the Advanced tab at the top, and then System Options. Now set the Enable High Resolution mode when connected to a USB-C DP option. Finally, go back a couple screens and choose the option the Save and Reboot.
Apparently this will change USB 3.2 ports to USB 2.0, but most people would never notice unless they’re using external storage devices or external networking devices that need over 300-400 Mbps (not most people, and the dock’s Ethernet should probably be full speed anyway). I’m not sure if it changes the speed of the USB-C ports, so just be on the lookout if you need faster speed for those ports.
This is a poor default setting by HP, perhaps caused by a limitation in the Intel chipset. I wish HP were able to detect when a dock is plugged in and then change the default setting appropriately.

very easy to use, just plug it in and its good to go! i have bought quite a few of the cheaper docking stations on amazon and they're always are garbage, on the off chance everything works to begin with within a month nothings working, its worth it to spend the extra money on something like this that just works! also arrived a day earlier than expected which was nice.

Great HP USB-C Docking Statio
Works perfectly, just as expected. Important note: This dock is not just for HP Laptops. I connected my MS Surface Book and everything worked great. 2 DisplayPorts means you can connect to any monitor port with the correct cable adapters. DP-DP DP-DVI DP-VGA DP-HDMI.
The convenience is worth the cost in my opinion.
Beware this is a G5 Dock NOT the dock shown in the photos.
The front image for this is of a G2 dock not a G5.
Very similar capabilities (look at HP website for more details).
The G5 dock does not have DisplayLink (don’t confuse with DisplayPort connectors – two different things).
The G2 does have DisplayLink capability.
I bought this to use with my MacBook Pro M1, which has to use DisplayLink to be able to work with two external displays and my HP work laptop.
Returning this on as it was not as displayed.
That said the dock itself is good quality and does what it does well. However, a little pricy.
Funktioniert wie erwartet!
Ich habe dieses Produkt fr mein HP Elitebook 845 G6 gekauft, die Treiber und das BIOS des Rechners auf den neuesten Stand gebracht und seitdem funktioniert die Dockingstation wie erhofft. Die Lieferung war ein wenig abenteuerlich, was man aber eher dem Carrier zuschreiben muss.
Fazit: (Zu -) Teuer, aber gut!

Qu tiempos aquellos donde el docking station era un objeto que realmente ocupaba espacio en el escritorio, pues ya no ms. Es una maravilla y lo super recomiendo, eso si, tienes que comprar un multicontacto de USB para toodo lo dems que uno conecta a la compu (audfonos, memoria externa, impresora -si no se quiere usar el wifi-, mouse -aunque sea inalmbrico tienes que enchufar un usb-. etc. Super recomendado!
Un dispositivo muy confiable,todas sus funciones sin necesidad de configurar nada
Todo funciona muy bien al utilizarlo en mi MacBook Air 2022, no fue necesario instalar ningn driver, reconoci el monitor mediante el cable hdmi, se conecto a red mediante el puerto rj45, puedo conectar mi teclado usb, carga la mac al mismo tiempo que uso el dispositivo, conecte discos duros externos y los reconoci sin ningn problema, totalmente recomendable.
Simplify your connections
This has made my desk much tidier and allowed greater flexibility with connections. I am using two HP 24″ Monitors (One Display port & one HDMI), two WD external Hard Drives (one networked & one USB). The convivence of having everything connected through one USB C socket is great. One point to note, the sound is defaulted through the Hub, so you’ll have to change your sound settings (in Windows) back to your required output (in my case, the laptop speakers). The HP laptop I am running was not on the list of HP laptops that could use this Hub on the website, but I have found no problem with running it through the Thunderbolt USB C socket.
El equipo cumple con lo prometido, funcional y buena calidad.
Fue muy buena eleccin, ya que si funcion como lo esperaba. En una ZBook que se conecta a travs de USB C, la Laptop arroja una alerta de que la alimentacin es insuficiente, es algo que ya se esperaba por que la Laptop est recibiendo por el mismo puerto su alimentacin, datos(ethernet) y 2 pantallas hdmi y displayport. El producto cumple con lo prometido.

Premetto che desideravo una dock Thunderbolt ma quelle prodotte da HP stranamente non hanno porte hdmi bens dp..ho dovuto quindi ripiegare su una dock usb-c.
Il mio giudizio temporaneo, l’ho ricevuta pochi giorni fa e non ho provato tutto.
Collegata ad un HP Zbook G7, configurata con i suoi drivers.
Porta hdmi funziona regolarmente, porta fuori 4k hdr come voluto, tramite scheda video Nvidia del notebook.
Porte usb testate con due dischi, un hdd e un ssd (via adattatore sata-usb). Tasto luminoso della dock mette in sospensione il pc collegato, pu essere comodo.
Alimentatore da 120w ben dimensionato e carica il notebook se necessario.
Ritengo che, in offerta, pu essere un ottimo acquisto (il prezzo di Amazon stato ottimo). Al prezzo proposto da HP avrei dei dubbi.
J’tais perplexe concernant cette station d’accueil HP G5 aprs avoir revu les commentaires trs positifs ou trs ngatifs des autres clients.
Ma conclusion: c’est un bon produit sur Windows 10 mais il y a une astuce!
Allez d’abord sur le site web de HP et:
1-Tlcharger et mettre jour les drivers Audio et Ethernet AVANT de connecter la station d’accueil
2-Tlcharger la mise jour du firmware / microgiciel, lancer le programme et connecter la station d’accueil au port USB C de l’ordinateur
Concernant le produit lui-mme, j’ai aim:
1-La finition et la qualit des plastiques de la station d’accueil. Du bon HP.
2-La petite taille et le nombre de ports USB
3-Le chargeur de marque HP 120W (avec un connecteur de couleur bleue de type 4.5mmx3.0mm) avec des cordons lectriques trs longs (1.5m pour le 220V, 1.5m pour le 20V) ce qui permet de se raccorder trs loin une prise lectrique. La prise est une 2 phases + 1 neutre.
4-Le service HP avec des mises jour rcentes (Janvier 2021 pour le firmware / microgiciel) disponibles.
5-Le fonctionnement sans problme, tout est reconnu par Windows 10 mme sur des ordinateurs non HP (j’ai essay avec 1 HP, 1 ACER et 1 LENOVO). Ceci est vrai en assumant que vous ayez install pralablement les 2 drivers / pilotes spcifiques (1 pour le son et 1 le rseau RJ45 LAN) disponibles sur le site web de HP.
6-La longueur du cble USB C station-laptop (~1m de long).
7-Pour l’instant je n’ai pas constat de problmes techniques particuliers (par exemple pas de surchauffe ou de ressources systme insuffisantes).
Je n’ai pas aim:
1-Impossible de comprendre quelles rsolutions cette station d’accueil est capable d’afficher et sur combien d’crans. Aprs plusieurs recherches, j’ai fini par trouver la documentation HP ci-jointe. Au final, cette station peut afficher non seulement du 4K, du 5K mais mme du 8K (!) , mme si je n’ai pas le matriel capable d’une telle performance.
2-La puissance dlivre par la station d’accueil via le USB C est de 100W (20V, 5A) pour les laptops HP et de 75W pour les non-HP. Pour une station universelle, c’est mesquin!
3-Le cble USB C est intgr la station d’accueil. Je prfrerai un cble indpendant pour pouvoir le remplacer en cas de stress mcanique ou d’endommagement du connecteur USB C. Je vais certainement rajouter une rallonge.
4-La station est petite mais lourde. Pas de support HP non plus pour l’accrocher une table ou un cran comme d’autres fabricants.
5-1 seul port HDMI, alors que d’autres modles en proposent 2.
The docking station is quite compact yet sturdy. The ports are ergonomically laid out so I don’t have visible cables everywhere.
My only problem is I can’t run my monitor from the docking station – it has to be plugged into my laptop. It’s probably me having a senior moment but the instructions are basic pictures without a troubleshooting guide.
Works perfectly for my intention which was to simply connecting at home. Has sufficient ports including 2x DP, supports 4K, and enough power to do everything with a single USB C to the laptop. Wake-on works so each day all I need to do is plug in the USB C (if I’ve been elsewhere) and hit the power button on the dock, and that’s it.
I’m running a HP Envy x360 and I generally use it in folded / pen mode (next to a large screen for main use) so an issue I was having was that the keyboard is disabled when folded, and the power button on the laptop is on the keyboard… now I just hit the dock power button and everything comes on.
The only gripe (with HP, not with the product) is that the comparability list on the website is not up to date, my laptop is a 15-ee0504sa which is not listed and it works flawlessly, all functions.
Bought this for home to use with my work-issued laptop. This dock has 1 more conventional USB port than the one issued to me at the office, so I was able to hook up camera, keyboard/mouse, speakerphone, and headset plus 2×24″ monitors via DisplayPort with no problems. Bought this to replace another dock that was under-powered with those USB devices connected. This runs the dual monitors and all of my peripherals with no fuss and no problems.
I also tried plugging in my MacBook Pro and was disappointed (but not surprised) to find that it does not support dual external displays for that computer. No matter…would have been a nice bonus but it’s perfect for what I need it for.
The power button on top is an improved design over previous generations where the entire top panel acts as a power switch. Much less concern about accidentally tapping it and powering down the whole computer unintentionally. It’s shorter and has a slightly larger footprint on the desktop than the older ones that are taller and narrower. To me, this one fits better in the space I have.
All in all I am very satisfied with this product and I highly recommend it if you are working with a compatible PC.
