Used in a small garden water feature. Adds a nice colour to the reservoir coulour is not strong enough to colour fountain. Love the fact that it’s ok for fish and wildlife.

      AMAZING 💙💦💙
Wow – this is seriously good stuff! Great price – arrived within 24 hours – and so easy to use. Honestly you don’t need much either to turn the pond water a beautiful blue … we put one desert spoonful into our water feature and it’s made a huge difference. Just one tip: wear gloves when handling the bottle/liquid, because it does stain!!
We are delighted with it and will be ordering again. Thank you …

Bought 500ml for my garden pond
I think I needed another 250ml. But boy what an instant difference. Goldfish appear unfased & are happily swimming around. But tried every green/algae clear there is. In the end gave up & bought the dye. So far so good

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersRemarkable difference with just a few drops
First of all, do not go by the dosing instructions. According to those, I would have needed multiple bottles of this to do my 6000L pond. In actuality, I used only a few drops over each of my air stones and under my waterfall, so I got very good distribution quickly.

I pierced a small hole in the foil top, and used no more than 30 drops total for my pond – probably around 10ml at a guess. You can see the massive difference in the photos. If I’d used much more, I don’t think I’d be able to see the fish. This is the black dye.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOne squirt lasted 4 months!
Bought this as the water in our water feature kept going green due to the sun and after a little research opted for this make.

Quick delivery and after cleaning the water feature out and filling with clean water I then put the required amount in (which wasn’t much) – the water became a nice fresh blue colour which lasted 4 months before the time came to turn off for the winter months.

Makes the water feature look a lot better.

      Perfect !!
Great purchase , glad I found this . We have a pond in our back garden and algae was starting to be a real problem. This black dye soon stopped the algae , the black mirror effect on the water is also amazing. The fish in our pond are still all good and healthy . We mainly use the dye , in summertime . Excellent buy !!!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLooks good, kills algae
Used in a half barrel water feature suffering from blanket weed which no product seemed to eradicate. No fish, some plants. So not only does the blackness of the water look better but the blanket weed and algae have disappeared. The black effect does slowly wears off, particularly with topping up evaporation. I found putting the dye in bit by bit until full blackout achieved worked OK and plants are doing well. Dropped a star as I think it is expensive for the amount that you get.

      Seems to do the trick.
Added to water feature and still seems to be holding its colour several weeks later. Will need topping up again in a month or so to keep the depth of colou

      Does the job
Bought to colour the water black in a reflection pool I built for bird photography and create perfect reflections. Works a treat, just a few drops needed, the water is now black and reflects like a mirro

      It works.
Easy to use. The dye has kept our water feature completely clear of algae during the past few months . I have not added any more of the product since the initial amount was put into the water
      Great stuff.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersStunning Blue Water 💦💧💦💧💦💧💦 Love it ...
I have just added this to a new home made feature.. I added it a few drops at a time .. Bought a 250ml bottle and it still looks full so only needed a few drops for this 80 litre tub .. The next day I added a few more until I reached my desired colour .. Gorgeous Blue .. looks great .. Hopefully this will stop algae forming, only time will tell … But I wanted to leave this review now … Because I am so pleased with the appearance of the water .. This could stain the rocks if splashed on them but I bought blue/green rocks so I think it will be fine .. Bought dark grey stone to go round it .. ( be careful if you like pale or white stone as it may dye them ) … Been wanting to do this project, since last summer .. Finally got all ingredients, and put this together at the weekend .. And the Blue Hydra Liquid Dye is Beautiful to look at …

Literally need the smallest amount. I put a capful in my pond. Not sure about the environmental impact. Don’t spill any, I imagine you’ll ruin your clothes and be scrubbing your hands for a good few minutes.

Easy to use and apply and makes the water in my pond look great.
Helps add a polish to water and makes seeing fish alot easier in my opinion.
Add a little at a time to get the exact colour you are after.
I add 50ml for my 2000 gallon pond.
I am not sure if it helps buy I haven’t had any issue with blanket weed since Instarted adding this dye to pond.
Use gloves as it really stains your fingers etc.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersPond in direct sun? You want this.
For a pond in direct sun all day this is fantastic. Most dyes are calculated for a 1m depth and mine is half that so I just doubled up the dose. Lovely blue.

How does this stop algae? By cutting it off from the red spectrum of the sun. No sun no growth it’s that simple. I have a 9w UVC in my filter that barely dented the green water algae in my pond and I use Envii blanket weed treatment weekly to little effect except stemming the tide. I’d considered building shelter for shade etc but this is basically a blue gel filter over the sun. Only UV light will pass and after 24 hours water is clearing and algae is actually dying quicker than it grows. Ideally you use this in spring but even in July in a hot day it has halted algae growth in its tracks. The simplest solution is often the best!

As l have a mermaid, it seemed logical to have blue water. At first l thought it was just one of my weird ideas so l was glad to read that changing the colour actually helps the pond (or bath in my case ) and fish. Arrived very quickly and smart product and well fitting gloves. Could have added to bath from instructions but decided to watch YouTube video. Lucky l did as my one big beef is that the instructions had a table for the dose which was left blank! Also the video stressed that best to add drop by drop and wait a bit. I would definitely agree. Two days later l need another couple of drops but love the overall effect – thanks!

      Does what it says
Exactly as described enhanced my water feature. Wear gloves a must. I added the dye via small amounts in a syringe until I got the desired colour. A bit expensive for what it is however recommended if this is what you are looking for.
