Used in a small garden water feature. Adds a nice colour to the reservoir coulour is not strong enough to colour fountain. Love the fact that it’s ok for fish and wildlife.

Wow – this is seriously good stuff! Great price – arrived within 24 hours – and so easy to use. Honestly you don’t need much either to turn the pond water a beautiful blue … we put one desert spoonful into our water feature and it’s made a huge difference. Just one tip: wear gloves when handling the bottle/liquid, because it does stain!!
We are delighted with it and will be ordering again. Thank you …

I think I needed another 250ml. But boy what an instant difference. Goldfish appear unfased & are happily swimming around. But tried every green/algae clear there is. In the end gave up & bought the dye. So far so good

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst of all, do not go by the dosing instructions. According to those, I would have needed multiple bottles of this to do my 6000L pond. In actuality, I used only a few drops over each of my air stones and under my waterfall, so I got very good distribution quickly.

I pierced a small hole in the foil top, and used no more than 30 drops total for my pond – probably around 10ml at a guess. You can see the massive difference in the photos. If I’d used much more, I don’t think I’d be able to see the fish. This is the black dye.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this as the water in our water feature kept going green due to the sun and after a little research opted for this make.

Quick delivery and after cleaning the water feature out and filling with clean water I then put the required amount in (which wasn’t much) – the water became a nice fresh blue colour which lasted 4 months before the time came to turn off for the winter months.

Makes the water feature look a lot better.

5.0 out of 5 stars One squirt lasted 4 months!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsed in a half barrel water feature suffering from blanket weed which no product seemed to eradicate. No fish, some plants. So not only does the blackness of the water look better but the blanket weed and algae have disappeared. The black effect does slowly wears off, particularly with topping up evaporation. I found putting the dye in bit by bit until full blackout achieved worked OK and plants are doing well. Dropped a star as I think it is expensive for the amount that you get.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersFor a pond in direct sun all day this is fantastic. Most dyes are calculated for a 1m depth and mine is half that so I just doubled up the dose. Lovely blue.

How does this stop algae? By cutting it off from the red spectrum of the sun. No sun no growth it’s that simple. I have a 9w UVC in my filter that barely dented the green water algae in my pond and I use Envii blanket weed treatment weekly to little effect except stemming the tide. I’d considered building shelter for shade etc but this is basically a blue gel filter over the sun. Only UV light will pass and after 24 hours water is clearing and algae is actually dying quicker than it grows. Ideally you use this in spring but even in July in a hot day it has halted algae growth in its tracks. The simplest solution is often the best!
