Great little paddling pool, good value for money only on first filling of water we discovered a puncture.
It appears to be a snag type hole one can only assume caused either being prepared for transit or during.
    Disappointing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Puncture due to poor transportation.

I’m having a blast with my Intex 6ft x 20in Easy Set Swimming Pool! It’s exactly as advertised – super easy to set up and a perfect size. The blue color is a cool touch too. It’s been a hit for family fun time during these hot days. Great buy for the price. Two thumbs up!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery easy to set up. It’s a clever design. Worth noting that it is quite deep and so a bit of a reach to step in and out if you are buying it for small people. Unfortunately it has been too cold and wet to make much use of it since the precise day I installed it so I may have to puncture it as a sacrifice to appease the weather gods

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our Users*This review is for the 8ft Intex Easyset Pool*

After reading so many reviews which mentioned leaks and trouble with refunds I was dubious about ordering an Intex pool however I went with my gut seeing how many had been sold and with the thinking that most people don’t review unless it’s negative and I’m so glad I bought one!!

It was super easy to inflate by mouth and it took 1.45hrs to fill.

I placed it onto a ground sheet and gym mats which were cheap enough from the Factory Shop – it required 4 packs of mats for reference.

It’s been up over a week now and I’ve had to reinflate the ring a small amount and top up the water a small amount from use.

I bought the pool cover too which does a fabulous job warming the water and, because I didn’t want to refill the pool in the summer I purchased the 33 Intex pool pump and chemical kit which are also working fabulously.

Don’t be put off by negative reviews!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for hot weather 🥵

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPreviously I had a small pool with headrests and seats, it popped, so divided to give this one a try. Was worried as said ground needs to be level, mine is sloped by a few degrees and my slabs are all uneaten, but was fine, i used my old pool as a base underneath.
It was easy to use your mouth to inflate the ring, took 1 minute at most.
It feels deep and feels like a proper pool, I also can lay my head on the sides or sit back against it no problem! It’s just wide enough for me at 5ft 9″ to fully float in.
It’s got 2 outlets for a filter pump and another bung to empty the water. I’ve got a pump coming next week.
The material feels thicker than my last pool.
I am so impressed and wished I got this first time.
I ordered the 6ft model so that it would warm faster and take less water, energy and time to keep it clean. Also takes up less space in the garden.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing pool for the price!

You have to buy your own inflating pump just to pump the top ring and also if you have a garden with grass you might need to get something to cover up the grass before setting your pool because otherwise it will not work x
    Get large floor mats xx

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to inflate as only the very top rim is inflated. The rest is simply held by the volume of water in it. As the installation said, put a couple of centimetres of water in first, flatten it the floor of the pool lining, then continue to fill. Ours is not 100% full due to smallest child but easily grow into. Older ones still had enough depth too. Great for all ages.

I ordered this pool on next day delivery for the hot weekend last week, unfortunately it came with a puncture in the ring so it wouldn’t stay inflated. However I messaged the seller and they immediately offered a refund or replacement so thank you to them for acting so quickly and that’s why I’ve given five stars, and apart from that the pool is a great size so if it comes without a puncture it’s a great pool!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI wasn’t sure about this as I previously had a large frame pool which was excellent, however I no longer have the space so I thought I’d try this as it was so cheap. I didn’t expect much given it cost me 22 but it’s really good value. I put it on a flagstone patio and bought a couple of large tarpaulins to go underneath ( thicker than the cloth) and used a foot pump to blow the ring up. You need to have one person pumping in the air whilst the other keeps the shape of the ring and smooths out any bends. Once this is done, smooth out the bottom and fill it up. Took about 2 hours to fill. After the first couple of inches re smooth the bottom best you can. I don’t have a pump it’s not required. Use a skim net and chlorine. Never had a problem yet including with a bigger pool last year. As you can see, bought the lid too. It’s a bit shallower than I would like but hey it’s cheap and sturdy and no messing about with poles. Comes with latches in case of leaks and stoppers for the pump holes which I have used. To empty you out in the hose attachment and empty with your hose pipe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this for surviving the heatwave we had this year and I’m annoyed it took me 20 years as a salary earning adult to buy something like it, an absolute game changer for the summer.

I made sure I had a plastic sheet on the patio to protect the bottom and you really do need a flat surface (my patio is on a v slight incline so one side tended to splash water over the edge). To fill it you just need to inflate the top ring and get your hose in there, the design means the sides come up as it fills (with some gentle encouragement). Follow the advice in the other reviews on here and you’ll be fine.

Only downside was emptying it, but the garden was grateful for the extra water (have decided cleaning it is a future me problem).

Even if I only get one summer’s use out of it you can’t really argue for the price; get one, you won’t regret it!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHaving learned a few lessons from previous years, this time we did it right and the pool has been fantastic. Firstly, it’s now on a solid flat surface (having a new patio helped). Not only more pleasant underfoot but less humps and bumps for debris to accumulate. Second, accessories including a decent pump/filter, 3 x chlorine tablets in the floater from the start, a fine mesh net for removing insects/debris and finally a cover that gets put on when the pool isn’t in use. I keep the filter on a timer so it only runs during the day. The pool has been up since late May and it has stayed nice and clean. The kids love it and are in it every day (even in the rain) so the value for money is great. If you are thinking about getting one, I would recommend this but can’t stress enough how important the ground surface and accessories/chemicals are. Without them, debris quickly builds leading to algae and a pool no one wants to go in. At that stage it’s a big job to get it clean.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a great swimming pool. It’s easy to inflate. It took about 4 hours to fill with water.
Unfortunately once filled we noticed 3 tiny holes in the main body of the pool. They are
all in a straight line around one side about half way up. With the positioning of the holes,
we can only assume it’s a manufacturing flaw.
As it was already inflated and filled, we patched the holes. Of course, at some point, we need
to empty the pool and patch on the inside too, hopefully, to ensure the holes are fully sealed.
That said, this pool is great fun and wonderful for keeping cool during our all too infrequent
    heat waves here in UK.

I was a little worried about this being big enough, sturdy enough, etc, but once inflated (which took about 1 minute with a battery-powered camping pump) and filled (3 hours with a garden hose)
PRESTO – a 2ft deep pool in the garden!
I know it sounds simple, but it was fantastic on a hot day, and my teenagers spent hours sitting in it, sipping drinks and chatting. its a great deal for 50.
Make sure to follow the instructions – the design is clever but it must be on a level surface to really work and hold 1000+ liters the way it should. Also keep a cheap little fishing net close by to skim it a few times a day and the water stayed nice and clean. We also put a foot tub full of water next to it, and if you dunk your feet before getting in you’ll have a lot less bits of grass etc floating about.

No cannonballs, but great for lounging and staying cool!

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersWe got tired of having to replace the children’s garden pool every few years because of both punctures and unattractive discolouration of the plastic. Garden pools are particularly expensive during the summer months while they don’t last very long – at least not when exposed to our over-active children. Yet with our south-facing inner city patio it can get really hot in summer, so the children do need some water play facility.

These Intex pools seemed of much stronger, durable design. Also, in case they prove to be as sturdy as expected the Intex pools offer add-on options and accessories like a cover and perhaps a filter at a later stage. Moreover the reviews were good. I was tempted to order the larger and higher 8-feet pool, but as we have limited outside space it seemed wiser to stick to the smaller 6-feet variant.
The pool came neatly presented in a a 60 x 40 x 12 cm box, this is important as it implies there pool doesn’t require too much storage space (also given that only the top ring is inflatable, this pool is easy to deflate and subsequently easy to fold in a compact manner). Included are 3 filter-hole plugs (1 spare) that you’ll have to put in place if you lack this accessory. There is also a filter connection part that remains unused in my case for now. You’ll have to make sure you place the pool on a level area and on a floor cover. We already had a collection of inter lockable rubber play/gym mats on which we placed the pool to have a soft seating and to protect the bottom. Then you’ll have to inflate the top ring, for this a non-electrical pump is advised. In order to spare me the effort of finding our pump, I just inflated it by mouth, which took less than 2 minutes and a few deep breaths. During the early stages of filling with water you’ll then have to make sure to straighten out the bottom mat of the pool. All in all, the set up is less burdensome than a full inflatable children’s pool. However, filling the pool with water took about 40 minutes and a lot of water – be aware that these Intex pools require a substantial quantity of water as they are 2x to 3x as deep as the average inflatable garden pool for young children. So there is a cost to that, and in times of severe drought you may be reprimanded by you neighbours for putting such pool in place.
Nevertheless the outcome was very satisfying. It’s is really nice and even a luxury (also for grown ups) to have a reasonably deep pool outside during hot weather. It’s very refreshing for dad to cool down and enjoy a beer in the sun. And the children have a lot of fun with it every day when the weather allows.
Most importantly the material of this Intex pool is of high quality, it is made of thick layers plastic that can endure some wild children’s water play. Even the inflatable top ring seems much more durable than a traditional children’s pool.
The only drawback is that is lacks standing sides and a supportive top ring. So you can’t really relax and hang on the sides as you will push it down and the water will flow out. Similarly, when our youngest, 6-year old enters the pool he will lean on the top ring for support, but this will cause water to flow out.

We have already bought a cover that will keep the water clean and that helps to heat it up a little, I keep this in lace with ratchet straps. I’ve also ordered a somewhat treacherous but affordable pool heater, we’ll see how that works out. The next step would be an investment in an Intex filter. In the mean time I’m looking into adding a well-measured amount of chemicals to the water to keep it clean for more than two days – we live in a hard-ware area and after a couple of days of intensive play the water gets milky and unclear.

But overall, very, very pleased with this pool. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and good fun. Very pleased with this, highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOk so this is great value for money.
It’s deeper than I expected and would be so much fun for kids.
It was so easy to put up that I thought i was doing it wrong.
There are some major downside though.

    1. You can get loads of added extras with this pool that I didn’t get. The instructions assume that you have them. So I spent 20 mins rummaging around looking for parts that I thought i was missing.

    2. The pool is so deep, the water was and remained freezing. It was freezing for days . Even though we were having a heatwave in may. The kids wouldn’t go in and it was so cold I could barely put my arm in to pull the plugs out. This would be fine however if u had access to hot water in your garden.
Also my friend told me after she made a make shift cover out of black bin bags and it helped warm her pool up. I will probably try this if we get more sunshine again this year.

    3. Lastly . It’s a lot of water. Have a plan don’t be a fool like me and flood your garden 🙂

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersExcellent!! Bought the 8ft for the good weather in lockdown and it’s been up for 2-3 weeks now. Took about 4 hours to fill and the top ring needs a little extra inflating evey couple of days if in use. I bought the floating chlorine dispenser and chlorine tablets and the pool is still clean and crystal clear. I have a bit of an uneven garden but it’s fine although if your garden slopes you may have an issue. I also bought the intex cover which actually helps heat the pool. All in all I’m very happy with this product. Came about a week earlier too and only 29.99 when i purchased. Impressed!!
UPDATE!!! Just purchased my second pool 2 years later due to multitude of tiny holes thanks to the cat. Easy to repair the odd hole with a bit of clear waterproof gorilla tape but there were too many in the end… Very disappointed as I didn’t realise there were two heights of the 8ft pool and didn’t notice until the one I purchased was half full so couldn’t send it back. However as it’s not as tall it seems to be wider as they get narrower at the top so I can actually fit a couple of inflatables in now. Just be aware of height measurements when of ordering.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pool!!

Golden Review Award: 551 From Our UsersThis review is for the 6ft x 20inch.

I bought this as a replacement for our family holiday to Spain. (Thanks Covid-19) If you’re drunk enough, and the sun is hot enough, it can be convincing.

I blew the ring up with my very own set of lungs because I couldn’t be bothered to search the garage looking for a bike pump that would probably turn out to be bitterly disappointing anyway. It was easy to do by mouth. Then I set it up all by myself at 6am and it was a cinch. It filled in less than 2 hours. No rips, holes or pops.
I chuck in some baby bottle sterilising tablets at night and then cover it with tarp.
The kids love it but they scream and splash constantly which is my idea of hell when I’m trying to drink wine in my deck chair.

As pools go, this one is nothing short of fantastic. Get one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ace pool.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFairly straight forward to set up. The upper tube is inflatable and it took a while to pump up using an electric pump. After inflating it was never quite inflated enough to say it was sturdy. Filling up with water took around 5 hours using a hosepipe and also you have to make sure you flatten the surface of the pool as you go along so wasn’t a case of leave it to fill and come back. However, after setting up you realise you need the additional accessories such as a pool heater because despite a warm day the water is very cold and never warms up enough to avoid the chill you get when entering the pool. Then you discover you need a filter pump as a heater won’t function without it and then you also have to purchase a pool cover as you won’t want to leave out uncovered overnight and have flies and insects falling into the pool. But if you manage to get all the accessories I’ve mentioned then I can see this being a good investment.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIts is easy to install and is a great hit with my grandchildren. The pool is good, but be aware it is the tip of the iceberg given all the other bits and pieces you might want to consider. You need to put it on a flat piece of ground. I had a small patio area I thought was ideal but of course we always lay patios with a small slope to drain the water. So 20 sharp sand to level the base. Groundsheet to go next to protect the pool. Then set up the pool, real easy actually and you need a small hand pump to inflate it (not included). You will definitely want a cover. And chlorine tablets and a small floaty dispenser and test strips to make sure the water has the right pH balance and chlorine levels etc. . Filter pump to keep it nice an clean? Small skimmer tool to dredge out insects and leaves and grass cuttings. Then you find it’s a bit fresh (cold) for most UK summer days. So you may want a pool heater. And then you have to run power to a convenient outdoor sealed power outlet. And then you have the cost of running the heater so people actually use it! I still think its great fun and my grandchildren absolutely agree. It is just a tad more than 30! More like 250 plus 3-5 a day heating costs. Still great fun.
