The drill bit is not standard and you will need to buy separately. Make sure you have a good drill to get it fully into the ground. If you get them in the ground, they are discrete and work well.

The idea of driving these tie downs with my impact wrench was enticing. In practice I couldn’t get that to work. The bolts nearly stripped each time. Ended up using a ratchet to install. If the impact wrench had worked these would have been a god send, as it was, it worked.

Unless you have really soft soil or sand, you will need an impact driver to get these in the ground. But, even with heavy clay soil (Like I have), they stood up to the impact driver. I was worried they would snap but they kept going. Soaking the soil will really help to get them in the ground if it gets hung up or really hard to turn.

These were purchasesd to secure a small child’s play tower and slide. Although a little tricky to start getting into the ground, once a momentum was built up they went in well.
We chose to cement ours in too as an extra.
Look and feel sturdy and would recommend to someone wanting to secure a small play equipment/swing set.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI am all about ground screw, anchors, and any other form of foundation or tie alternative that utilizes an impact driver. They were easy to get into the ground with relative accuracy and certainly had the uplift capacity to handle whatever tension you put on it. However, removing the anchors took multiple frustrating attempts and ended up creating small craters where I destroyed the ground eventually pulling them out.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersDry, hot, hard, rocky Austin dirt. Tried to punch this auger in with a medium size hammer drill. But no way, just stalled. Reverted to a 1/2″ drive socket wrench. On the anchor the hex did not strip, the shaft did not twist off, the weld of hex to the top held. And I guess the weld on the auger blade held as well. It is buried now.

After the first try I did pull it out and put my grinder to the auger edge to sharpen it. Don’t know if that was necessary.

I suppose a good impact wrench, pneumatic or electric, might drive it in ok. But wrenching it manually worked, and maybe held the soil together a little better.

The volleyball net is tight now.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this for a large wooden swingset in the garden. Our grass is on a slight slope and with the swingset being relatively heavy, I didn’t want my daughters momentum swinging it over so bought these and anchored the 3 back frame legs down, worked a treat – won’t budge now.

The anchors were really easy to install – I just used a spanner to screw them into the grass – took about 5 mins to do all 3.

Our turf is always damp underfoot so I was worried it would be too soft and these would rip out but they hold really well. Would recommend.

    Good product that works well.
Used these to hold down a 10ft trampoline at the beginning of this year and it has gone through two major storms and a few very windy days and has not moved an inch. A good chance this product is the difference of your kids trampoline staying put or ending up on your neighbours chimney.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGute Befestigung.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersbuon prodotto ma, non adatto a tutti i terreni.

Quality ground anchors. Heavy and build like a tank. They easily penetrate soil and hold firm. The top loops are detachable and screw in. Good paint job which looks like it will stand up to rough weather. Great for tents, dogs or securing a rope for any kind of purpose. Bigger than expected which is a good thing. Four in a pack and value for money. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Built like a Tank

These ground anchors are like tent pegs… but on steroids! They are huge and very very strong! These are super easy to drive into the ground and even easier to remove again. But the best part is that once they are installed, they do not budge! They hold literally anything into the ground.
The rings on top simply screw on and off, leaving access to a hex nut that can be operated with a drill, drill driver or impact wrench. This makes it so easy to fix down my gazebo now… a quick blast with a drill, then a little clip and it’d all done.
What an incredible new design. I can see these taking over from tent pegs all over the world.
    I highly recommend this product.

Hurricane season just beginning. Time will tell but high winds have not affected the shed so far. Sturdy.
Addendum to original review. Just had Hurricane Ian pass over the shed I used these anchors on. I also added concrete but after the very bad storm the shed held fast. No movement or change to structure. Speaks highly of this anchor kit.
