What I like about this dash-cam is how easy it is to set up and also very useful to have the app on your phone to edit videos, I highly recommend this dash-cam, very neat looking aswell.
ONCE YOU’VE ATTACHED BOTH CAMERA AND GPS PART TO WINDSCREEN, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DETACH THE CAMERA. THERE’S VERY LITTLE ROOM TO GET YOUR FINGERS BEHIND THE CAMERA. ONCE DONE, YOU’RE LIKELY TO PEEL APART THE STICKY SUCTION FROM WINDSCREEN.
However the GPS often doesn’t lock on one of our cars and on the other with a heated windscreen it never ever gets a lock so is pretty poor sensitivity. If that’s important to you don’t get this model.
It’s also a pain to manually save a clip; I would have expected a single button press but in practice you have to press to wake it up, press to pause the current video, press to lock the current clip, press to restart the video. Far from ideal.
The app is also worthless; completely unreliable and won’t connect most of the time.
So why 4 stars? Simple; it takes good video and is very good value, so if that’s all you need this is a good buy considering the 200+ cost of some of the high end brands.
It’s a good quality camera, pretty small so behind the rear mirror you can’t see it, what I like most at it it’s parking mode as it has a battery inside and with motion sensor off if someone touches the car camera it starts to record even with the engine off, I drive 30 mins to work and 30 mins back home and I have tested it, in the morning when I unlock the car and get in camera starts recording in parking mode even with ignition off, so in case someone hits your car in front the camera will record without any hassle, I recommend it.

I purchased 2 of these One for the fount cam and one for the rear cam.
This worked out cheaper than buying a front and rear dash cam as a set.
Also its a better picture as the can is saving only one stream of video.

Very pleased with this purchase. The item is well packaged and as soon as you get the dash cam out of the box you can tell it is good quality. It is so easy to set up, I had it installed and working in my vehicle in minutes. Great quality videos/photos. I would highly recommend buying this dash cam it’s great value for money and I’m sure you’ll be just as pleased as I am.
Paired with a Samsung EVO Select 256GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 100MB/s Full HD & 4K UHD Memory Card and. Just popped it in to the dashcam and formatted it. Then it was ready to go.
Pros:
+ Navigation is very easy via the menu buttons at the bottom of the Dashcam
+ Image quality is decent for the price and you can read number plates if you pause the video or take a screenshot image. Although you do have to be reasonably close to the number plate for it to be legible.
+ GPS coords on the screen are handy if you ever break down and don’t know exactly where you are, if you have to call a recovery company
Cons:
– The GPS Odometer is way out. I was doing 70 mph (honest officer!), and the MPH on the screen was showing 43 mph.
– Comes with a Mini USB connection. My old Dashcam has a Micro USB hard wired into my fusebox, so I’ve had to order a Mini to Micro adapter, rather than buy a whole new hard wire kit. This is more of a word of warning for others, than a “Con”.
– No email confirmation received after activating the 2 year warranty. So no idea if my warranty is active or not.
– Transferring videos from the DashCam to your mobile phone via the app is painfully slow. Better to take the MicroSD card into the house and download the required files directly to your PC / Laptop.

I don’t use motion detection or some of the other features, so I cannot comment on those aspects.
All in all, I am happy with the purchase, as long as the Dashcam lasts a few years.
Here goes: beautifully made, small and compact, lovely clear little screen with easy to select buttons, easy to fit out of view and doesn’t hang down from the screen like most other cameras. I’m very impressed. And I don’t say that lightly. Particularly after owning several dismally hopeless Nextbase cameras’ and having a bad history for returning loads of previous dash cams over the years as being useless. (Sorry Amazon)
WiFi was very easy to set up. The screen displays the 1-8 password. Playback menu looks ok and straightforward.
I haven’t yet fitted the camera to the car as my wife is out in it. So more details later.
Somebody commented on the white sticky pads that show through the screen (typically Nextbase) but from looking at them only the protective paper is white. The pads themselves are clear. Neither black nor white. So that’s looking good.

Update: footage is fine. Not sure if its 4K quality though. Reflection from the windscreen certainly affects the quality unfortunately. Viewing on iPad is easy and the playback setup is very straight forward.
The 170 degree angle creates quite a bit of distortion which is probably why firms such as Nextbase limit their cameras to 140 degrees. Unlocking the camera from its stick-on base is a bit awkward. You have to push the locking button up, then pull the camera back towards you to unplug it.
Quick to set up, easy to use. Small enough not to be intrusive, but the screen is big enough and clear. Comes with everything you need to install. You just need a memory card.
What a looking awesome camera and 4K Ultra HD Recording.
You won’t regret because this is very powerful camera and works very well.

Just an update on this review after fitting the camera I downloaded the app but was having problems getting the wifi connected using the full password after speaking to customer service the password does not include the PWA2: at the beginning. I can say the customer service was very helpful and cannot fault them
This is a great Dashcam. Very easy to set up & use. Easy instructions to follow.
I love how compact and neat it looks whilst doing everything i need.
Pictures and images are crystal clear. The holder keeps it firmly in place on the windscreen.
Also has the benefit of having Gps.

Camera have all the options you need, motion recording or even gps.
I have tested all the options and everything works fine. This camera is a replacement for the old one and I have to say for the cost this product is doing is job.
Cable fittings are very useful. Had to use some stickers with the previous camera. This camera is everything you need for day to day motoring.
Out of the box just needed a top up charge.
Less than 5 mins to set up ,for such a compact Dash Cam its packed with features,with its built in WiFi you can record directly to your mobile device.
