It’s not easy to find in UK stores and I didn’t know its an actual truck in the USA
Not too hard to build and looks good when it’s complete.

Bought this for my monster truck obsessed 5 year old. He is very good at following Lego instructions independently but this one was a little too fiddly for him to do by himself.
We had a lot of fun building this together and it stands up to quite exuberant play with few pieces coming off!

My 7 yr old son got this for Christmas from a friend.
He spent a whole afternoon sat at the table putting it together. He was able to follow the instructions easily.
He made one mistake where I had to rectify it for him, but otherwise it was great.
He really enjoyed putting it together . Having his photo done with his new achievement and then playing with it for hours after.
I would definitely recommend this range for young children.
If you like LEGO and Monster Trucks then this is your lucky day. I have bought Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, Megaladon and Max D and had great fun building them……..for my son…….honest.
Important to note that with most Technic lego 2-in-1 builds, there is only one build instructions on the box.
For this one the included instructions are for the Monster Jam truck: the Off-Road Buggy instructions can easily found by going to the Lego website and downloading a pdf.
This may not be the best thing to do, or the easiest for the builder, but I suppose it keeps costs down for Lego and is possibly more environmentally friendly.

Very robust for a Lego model which has surprised me as I thought I’d spend a lot more time piecing it back together than I have.
Bought this for my grandson to do with his grandad. He loved it but it is for seven plus. The small pieces were a little tricky for him but grandad enjoyed himself!
Indestructible!
Built this kit with my 7 year old daughter, not only is it a fun build but the pullback motor is great and this thing is indestructible! We have been making ramps for it to jump over and other than the flag clipping off it looks as new after days of heavy use.
As with most lego, this set is of great quality and was a joy to put together with my son.
Thanks to the pull back function this monster truck also has a great fun factor for my 5 yr old who was happy to help me find the right pieces as per the instructions.
I got this on offer which means it was actually good value for money – lego has a habit of being fairly expensive but in this case I’m very happy with that as well.

My son has always loved hot wheels monster trucks and lego so was so happy to find this. He really enjoyed the build and was surprised by how far the car goes using the mechanism. Its great and great value
So I purchased this for my 5 year old who is obsessed with monster trucks, he liked it for like 5 minutes then got bored (like all kids that age) ended up building it all myself forgot how good and addictive it is, was well happy after I had stuck all the stickers on etc.. will be purchasing El Toro and megalodon in the same range aswell.

Birthday prezie made easy
Got as a birthday gift for a child that loves Lego. Fun for all ages but as myself and one of my brother’s needed to buy a quick birthday gift this filled the roll nicely. As there are 3 other models in this set, we got him a different one each which allowed them to be built and raced together and crashed as well. Great fun for all Lego fans, easy to build with an alternate form. Chose either the monster truck or a race car and change between the 2 any time you wish. 5 stars

The purchase was a gift for my great nephew who was seven. My only criticism is that with rising living costs Lego gifts will be too expensive. It was a small toy and for the older siblings something that matches their ability is far too expensive. I think the prices should be lowered otherwise online games will prove better value for money.
Hervorragend und eine tolle Idee von Lego
Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit diesem Modell und hatten auch beim Aufbau keine Schwierigkeiten (Kind 6 Jahre jung.) Besonders der Rckziehmotor lsst den Truck ordentlich flitzen. Ein Anderes – baugleichhes – Modell haben wir bereits geschenkt bekommen und mit Beiden zusammen lassen sich coole “Monster-Jams” spielen.

Robusto y del calidad
Me ha encantado lo robusto que queda al montarlo, ya que se puede jugar como un juguete normal sin perder piezas. Supongo que para que quede as hay que unir las piezas con fuerza, y quizs necesita la ayuda de un adulto para ensamblar algunas.

Super Preis-Leistung, fr ein tolles Spielzeug, welches sich nicht nur in einen Monstertruck bauen lsst, sondern auch in ein anderes Fahrzeug. Die Anleitung fr das Monstertruck wird dem Spielzeug mitgeliefert, dir fr das andere Fahrzeug ist und der Homepage des Herstellers zu finden.
Mein 5 Jhriger spielt sehr gerne damit. Man kann es ohne Probleme auch Mal gegen ein Objekt fahren lassen, ohne dass da irgendwelche Teile stndig abfliegen.

Bello ma dal montaggio impegnativo
Una volta montato davvero un bellissimo Monster track ma per montarlo nonostante le istruzioni un bimbo di 10 anni non ci metter poco ma anzi sar facile sbagliare o scambiare i pezzi. In quanto a qualit, Lego una garanzia come al solito.

Super modle , le 2 EME pour mon fils qui s’entrane au lego technic en commenant par des modles plutt simple , je me suis pris au jeux avec lui , la voiture est d’une super qualit, les plans toujours bien expliqus, seul le 2 EME modle est disponible sur internet et non en format papier dommage , il faut compter une 40 aine de minutes en moyenne , il y a des pices en plus c’est normal
Pas mal comme lego Technic
Nouveau lego Technic de la cuve janvier 2022 et un pack sympa en vue (20 euros).
Le model est plutt pas trop mal. Les couleurs sont cool, les autocollants sont assez sympa aussi.
Difficult moyenne et mont en 45min tranquillement du haut de mes 34 ans ^^.
Plutt cool comme cadeau, pour les plus jeunes ou les plus vieux comme moi pour complter une collection.

Mi peque alucin!. Genial que adems tenga diferentes opciones de armado. Muy buena calidad, adems de generar disfrute en el armado luego sirve para jugar sin que se desbarate, lo cual con Lego City no es posible porque se desarman en un segundo al manipularlo.

Mit diesem Monster Truck haben alle Kinder Spa. Die 7jhrige hat es zusammen gebaut und unser dreijhriger spielt damit. Der Truck kann aufgezogen werden und fhrt dann. Auch wenn der kleine ihn auf dem Boden wirft zerbricht er nicht gleich in hundert Teile sondern es kann weiter gespielt werden.
Haben auch bereits ein 2.gekauft zum verschenken.

Ordered this for my grandson. Comes in about about a hundred small parts and immediately realised, having looked at the instructions, that there was no way he could build it. You can scan the front of the box to easily download instructions to you phone and this was helpful because you can increase the size of the images. Took me over an hour to build. Seems sturdy but seven year old would struggle to build.

Overall pretty good, the truck itself is pretty sturdy and can handle rough play. However I took 1 star off because the rubber wheels constantly come out of alignment with the rims. And as soon as this happens (even by a millimetre), the wheels become wobbly because they are imbalanced.

I paid 15 for this. At that price I can’t fault it. If I’m being picky, I found myself swinging a little too make out the instructions. My son loves it.
Ce lego est trs attractif, il est intressant car on peut raliser deux superbes vhicules au choix ce qui lui confre une double dure de vie. Le montage est assez simple pour un enfant avec son grand frre ou son papa en soutien. Il possde un moteur rtro friction qui permet de faire avancer la voiture toute seule. Trs solide et tanche. Bought for a fellow Lego builder. She loves it and is hanging back before making the second version which is a dune buggy. This item is also a pull back to go go forward model, not fast but I bet you could make some cool videos?

Die Enkel sind begeiste
Wir haben davon 2 Stck. Die Enkel schonen sie nicht. Da geht schon mal was defekt. Aber man bekommt alle Ersatzteile.
Bei einem war mal der Motor durchgebrannt. Ersatz ist kein Problem und mit etwas Geschick auch zu wechseln. Die Drhte am Akku hatten sich schon mehrfach gelst. Dazu braucht man einen starken Ltkolben und 4 Hnde zum Halten und Lten. Schraubverbindung wre besser.
E’ davvero fico. La retro carica piuttosto potente e con una piccola rampa di cartone fa anche dei bei saltini, oltre a potersi ribaltare come fa il reale monster truck “Grave Digger” di cui ripropone le fattezze.
La bandiera pirata dietro un bel tocco.
L’unico neo che un bimbo di 7 anni fa una certa fatica a costruirlo: una costruzione impegnativa, ma non impossibile.

Big, sturdy and life like
This is a brilliant set to build. 6 year old was able to build the truck on his own with little help and it turned into a larger than expected truck. The build itself is really really sturdy and the car obsessed 3 year old is able to play with it without pieces falling off all the time like a lot of Lego sets do when small hands are involved! For a Lego set it’s a very life like replica once it is built. Matthew 6 said “My favourite part is always building the wheels because it’s the best bit and the wheels are massive on the monster truck”

Made for an excellent gift for a tiny human, we have had fun putting it together and it has proved to be quite the hit with them so has seen many hours of play time and is holding up well to the abuse it gets.

es sollte fr Papa etwas zum Bauen geben, fr den Kurzen zum spielen – alle sind glcklich 🙂 Na ja, der Junior hat mir viel weggebaut und viel zu bauen gibt es ja auch nicht. Aber dafr kann das Set nichts. Halte nichts von diesbezglichen Lizenzen und dem ganzen Aufklebermist. Zusammenbau schnell und ohne groe Hrden. Rckziehmotor erhht fr die Kids den Spielspa. Keine groe Sache – aber ganz gut, fr kleines Geld.

L’ho comprata per mio figlio, ci siamo divertiti tantissimo a montarla insieme, come tutti i prodotti lego technic. Essendo dotata di un motorino a molla con retrocarica, permette di scatenare anche la fantasia con qualche simpatica acrobazia! Consigliata!
Challenging, great fun, top marks Lego.
This is how Lego models should be. Bags of bits, instructions, require some brain matter and dexterity to put together. Also not too expensive. Took this 66 year old a good couple of hours or more (was also zooming part of the time) and very satisfying at the end.
Opening the box you have a number of bags of parts and the wheels. And of course the instructions on how to put it together. There’s also a video demonstration that you can get to which may help where the instruction book isn’t that clear.
As I’ve noted above it took some time, I made mistakes and had to retrace my steps three or four times. Sometimes this was lack of attention, on other occasions it was the lack of clarity in the printed instructions. Lego basically draw the item from the same angle though out the book. This is great until the bits you are connecting are hidden by other parts and you have to workout where the join is. But it’s not bad if you are paying attention and in any case you can always look online — or learn by experimentation; which is a great way to learn and understand. I think I got it mostly right (see picture 1) although there were some bits left over (See picture two). I’m guessing these are spares – the red part is a headlight and I definitely put those both one. Assuming they are, that’s thoughtful of Lego. Incidentally, I haven’t put the stickers on in these pictures.
Once assembled, this car can be pushed or pulled back which winds a spring and then it flies forward, in our house easily enough to go accross the living room. It also crashed into the wall several times (in the interest of writing a review, I like to test these things) and stayed together. I’m guessing the more robust pegs that hold this together are behind that, not sure that ‘normal’ studded Lego would survive.
In all, a great product. Maybe not just for kids!

Fr meinen Geschmack knnte der Aufziehmotor bisschen mehr bumms haben… wrde der Performances sicher nicht schaden.
Uns rgert nur ein wenig, dass stndig von der selben Felge der Reifen runter rutscht. Das sollte so nicht sein…
Pretty solid build and good for play
This set is a more challenging build than the other monster trucks in the set. It’s a brilliant quality and because its more technical it allows for us to work together when my 10 year old needed help. It has an amazing pull back feature to allow for play and goes at a decent speed. It is also pretty solid to allow for play too which is always a bonus so we don’t need to keep fixing it back together. Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic entry level Technic Se
Fantastic set that I had a lot of fun building with my five year old. It’s definitely more suited to older kids as the box suggests but with W bit of help from me we had a great time.
It has two possible builds although the included instructions only cover the primary monster truck version but it’s easy enough to get the buggy instructions from the website and a link is provided.
The pull back function is great, especially for a five year old! My son is a big monster truck fan at the moment so this was just a perfect gift and I think he will get a lot of long term enjoyment out of i

We live everything about it. Disregard tge age limitation, go with your child’s dexterity. It is a marvellous toy for those kids who are good at following visual instructions, which are easy to follow. Excellent quality, excellent execution – you will never guess it is made of multitude of tiny pieces if you don’t know it. And, man, it jumps and never falls apart (apart from the flag at the back). Grand.

We spend hours to build up with kids together to have it all constructed. As my kids isn’t old enough to set it up, it is fun and interactive time with them. It not difficult to build it up but take time and patient. Great fun car to play.

An Excellent 2-in-1 Technic Se
The real value with Lego 2-in-1 sets, is they can be stripped down and rebuilt into an entirely different model, and with this Technic set, two different vehicles can be built (but bear in mind that only one vehicle can be built at a time). The two vehicles that can be built with this set are; The Grave Digger Monster Truck, and an Off-Road Buggy, both are quite different, but both make use of the pullback motor feature, which adds mechanical realism to what would normally be considered as just a toy.
The only real drawback with this set, is the instruction booklet, it only features the building instructions for The Grave Digger vehicle, so in order to build the Off-Road Buggy, you will need to download a PDF manual from the Lego site, alternatively, a Lego building instructions app can be downloaded, which features interactive guides. Nevertheless, both physical and digital booklets contain clear and concise building instructions, which is what everyone would expect from Lego. Build time for The Grave Digger vehicle was a little over an hour, but build times will obviously vary depending on age and the amount of adult assistance given. Once stripped down (which is also part of the fun with 2-in-1 sets), build time for the Off-Road Buggy was a little under 40 minutes, however, this vehicle didn’t require stickers to be applied like The Grave Digger.
At 17.99 this is quite reasonably priced, it’s not as big as some other Lego vehicles, but still great value for money, and seeing as it has only been released recently, the set should be around for some time before being retired (which will inevitably see the price begin to rise). Overall, this is a great little Technic set, quite suitably aimed at the 7+ age group, and with its choice of two vehicles to build, along with its pullback motor, it becomes a little more than just another Lego set. Highly recommended.
Als sein erstes Lego Technic Set, hat unser 6-jhrige Sohn es mit ein wenig Hilfe in anderthalb Stunden zusammengebaut. Der Spielwert nachher ist aber hher als alles was wir bisher von Lego hatten. Es hlt selbst beim robusten Spielen vieles aus, und ist fr den Preis (knapp 15) absolut unschlagbar. Schade nur, dass es auer “Max-D” nicht mehr in der Serie gibt. Habe dennoch zustzliche als Geburtstagsgeschenke gekauft…
Fantastic set set for an older Lego builde
This is the first technic Lego set we have attempted.
First impressions are it’s very different to a standard Lego set. It’s more slotting in smaller pieces rather than bricks to build with. We loved the pull back motor and the option to make two different vehicles.
My 10yrs old is a avid Lego builder and has completed some very large complicated Lego builds in the past alone but this set she found tricky, the first thing I noticed was the packages inside are not sorted into steps with numbers, all pieces had to be opened together which she found over overwhelming.
In the end she got frustrated and we decided to pack this away for another day. I’d say for an older child/teenager this would be perfec
Monster Jam fu
This set is perfect for monster truck lovers. It is based on Grave Digger from Monster Jam- we’ve compared to photos of this and it seems quote close to life. We dont follow Monster Jam and our son didn’t like the pirate flag at the back as he doesnt think it goes with the set. You can also make a buggy as it is a 2 in 1 set, however you have to go online or use their app for the second set on instructions- although it does make this clear on the box. The instructions are easy to follow, but our 7 year old found it quite tricky because the pieces were quite stiff to put together- this is specific to technic. The set includes a pull back motor so it can drive along quite far by itself on smooth services, and will climb low incline slopes too.

This set is rated 7+ but my 9 year old found parts of it a little bit too tricky to do on his own.
The instructions were fairly straight forward, there was a couple of times where you’re adding something to both sides of the model that maybe could have been a little bit clearer for younger eyes.
Once built the truck is pretty solid and works as expected.

The box contains 3 bags full of pieces, 4 wheels, a pull back motor, stickers and instructions manual (*Please note – the instruction manual only contains the instructions to build the grave digger. You have to visit the lego website to download the instructions for the buggy).
The instructions are very clear and easy to follow.
This digger/buggy has a pull back function. Simply pull back your digger and release to watch it zoom across the room.

We really love this lego technic set. Definitely suited to slightly older children due to small parts and level of difficulty to build. It isnt quite as robust as the ad suggests, my 7 year old son plays quite roughly with it and it has had a few bits break off both as the truck and the buggy however it is certainly more robust than I expexted.
Absolutely amazing value for money considering it it has moving parts and is effectively 2 different vehicles. Highly recommend.

Also ich kann nichts negatives sagen, die Trucks sind sehr robust, werden bespielt von einen 5-Jhrigen, das einzige was mal abgeht nach einigen berschlgen ist mal die Fahne aber ansonsten sehr sch
Hallo toller Aufbau Spa und mega Spielspa! Gerade die Option Never dem monstertruck noch einen Gelnde buggy zu bauten ist super. Aber am meisten begeistert natrlich der gravedigger mit seinem rckzugmotor.
