Anyone complaining this is not waterproof is missing the point: it is not designed to be!
And as far as I know no swimming cap is totally waterproof. This one is comfortable, holds my hair in place and the red colour gives great visibility when at sea.
Overall very pleased and would recommend.
Fits amazing, keeps my long hair in check and offers a little protection from the water, although this cap isnt designed to be waterproof as its made from lycra. I’m really pleased with it.
I wanted this cap more to stop the sun from taking the colour out of my hair than keeping my hair dry. Very comfy to wear for long periods whilst sun bathing and swimming. Good choice of colours.
This feels like it will last, unlike the latex and silicone ones. Does a great job of keeping my post-lockdown shoulder length hair a) out of my eyes and b) on my head and not in the swimming pool filter. Easy to put on as well even with the size of my bonce.
First thoughts were – this won’t cover my head! Wrong! The swim hat is very comfortable and stretchy and it keeps my hair out of my face whilst swimming.
It’s very easy to put on, I wet my hair beforehand so that all of my hair is off my face. It covers my ears and I can easily push the hair around my neck into the hat.
I am led to believe that wetting my hair beforehand helps to protect my hair by not absorbing any more water from the pool water???
I previously bought a silicone hat, never again! It didn’t keep my hair dry anyway, so what was the point in it? plus is split within 3 wears.
This is NOT waterproof with silicone your best bet if you require that.
I struggle with the sizing on Amazon as its a bit all over the place but this would probably be fine for a child in the 5-10 age group as it does stretch well and its a smallish size to start with.
Can’t rate it highly enough – And it has solved a big issue with a small child not wanting to go swimming because of the tight hats.
Purchased for a friend who likes it a lot as unlike the silicone swim caps that he’s used before, it doesn’t pull on the hair when putting it on or taking it off.
