If this lasts for as long as they say it’s going to save me a lot of money.
I still use fabric softener and am very happy with the results.

I like this as it’s large enough to tackle all loads. It’s cheaper and greener than chemicals. There is no overwhelming artificial smell. This suits me but not my spouse so, if you like you clothes to be perfumed this is not for you unless you add in drying.
I really like this product use it in every wash. The only problem is I still have to use soap powder for some stains but beside this the clothes are super clea
Clean well and leave no sce
I bought 2 of these and am using 1 in our slim line washer .
It is soft enough to not make a racket when the machine is operating.
The resulting washed clothes have come out clean and fresh wihtout being scented.
I think if you were to put heavily stained items in, you might want to use both at once and maybe presoak your stained clothing before adding to the machine.
For us, they give the same results as when using laundry liquids so I am pleased with the purchase.
The added bonus is, the water going down the drain after the wash, is not filled with chemicals.
If you have a way to save the grey water, it should be suitable for garden watering.

I am about to order my second washing ball. The current one is starting to run low after 2.5 years of heavy use. Various sports kits from a busy family and dog beds you name it this ball gets the dirt out and any smells!
I will never go back to detergents.
Don’t hesitate just buy it and help save your money, your health (no toxic ingredients) and the planet!
It works
This is the second one that I have ordered. The first lasted over a year, very economical and great reduction in plastic and cardboard being thrown away. You do have to get used to barely any scent to the washing because of not using washing powder and softener but the washing just has a lovely fresh smell particularly if dried in the garden.

It works!
It works, I don’t understand how, but it’s one of my best buys ever! I bought the laundry ball only because two of my children, both in their 50’s, accused me of not being eco friendly enough. I admit to using up all my usual detergent before I started using the ball, but I am now completely converted and I don’t think I will use detergents ever again. The ‘old fashioned’ fresh air smell of the laundry when I bring it indoors is lovely! The all round 5 stars is well deserved.
Super Washing Laundry Ball - Excellent Value & Great alternative!!!!
I am a first time user and ordered it (not knowing what to expect!!). The Laundry ball (just bigger than a tennis ball) has all the “magic” beads inside it – just put it in the washing machine with your laundry – and wash away!!!! The clothes smelt really clean and fresh (even though there’s no obvious scent from the laundry ball itself – at least I don’t think!!) It’s a real money saver – as you don’t need tablets or washing powder or liquid……I’ve got a few left (which I’m thinking of donating) as I’m REALLY happy with my Super Laundry Ball. If it does the same job, saves money AND it’s a help for the environment then it’s a WIN-WIN situation – Try it for yourself!!

Bit disappointed that no instructions or information regarding ingredients were included however it does seem to clean clothing OK. Only downside is that since using the ball I am occasionally getting what appears to be grease mark on some items, although this does come out when treated with stain remover and washed. Given the savings from using the ball I can live with this.
Quiet amazing
I have only just taken delivery of the laundry ball. Done 3 washes at 30 degrees and everything comes out very clean and smelling fresh.Impressed so far. Also I am keeping a note of how many washes I am doing to see if it does do the claimed 1500 washes, hence just for stars for value.
I heard a lot about this product and was curious. In relation to my usual washing products it is cheaper and easy to use. There is not really much of a smell, would have liked there to be. I have used it for a week now and on the whole am pleased with the results. The clothes are coming up clean, however I have needed to rewash o couple of items. This can also occur with other products so I am not too worried about that. I have not yet had to use it with heavily soiled clothes. I am on the whole pleased with my purchase and if it helps the environment then it is a good thing.
Clean Washing without chemicals. Great!
I loved the average wash result. Loved saving money and the ball not having chemicals. I loved helping the environment. There is no scent so I spray diluted essential oils on my washing. Tee towels do not come out stain free but that doesn’t bother me as no one but us see them. However, clothing comes out without stains and if they didn’t I would soak them in a natural stain remover. Overall I am really pleased with the product.
Good condition and prompt delivery
To be fair, it is early days to say whether this is value for money or effective, but based on 2 loads of washing, I did find that they smelled lovely and seemed as clean as with a usual detergent and as soft as if I had used a conditioner.
No smell or instructions.
I purchased this as a replacement for an Egg.
It came with no instructions so I don’t know how to tell when it’s no longer working or if I need to add more pearls. Very frustrating.
It appears to wash clothes okay.
No scent which is a shame.
Bottom line – don’t think I’d buy again because of the lack of smell and instructions meaning not sure how to use etc. Shame.
Great buy to take on holiday etc.
Bought this to go on holiday. Never bought one of these before so I was a little apprehensive. However, after using this a few times, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleaning and fresh smelling fragrance. I have not used this to remove stubborn stains, only used for lightly worn summer clothing which needed a freshen up. Only disappointment was the size of the ball which could have been smaller to go inside the suitcase. However, some may find it the right size so not really a massive issue. I’d certainly buy this again when the time arrives.
Softens and cleans but does not remove marks
I was sceptical but this does actually cleans the clothes! It has no scent so the clothes do smell clean but, as we are used to them having a soapy scent when fresh from the wash, no scent can be disconcerting.
I did find that a toothpaste mark did not come out when I used the ball by itself so I now use the ball with a very small amount of laundry liquid (about a quarter of what I would use without the ball) and it works perfectly. I have not needed to use fabric conditioner at all since using the ball. If the clothes are not visibly dirty e.g. with toothpaste marks and the like, the ball by itself it fine.
It is great for being environmentally friendly, being able to wash items that do and do not require conditioner at the same time, and the number of uses you can get out of it for the price is fantastic! We are definitely saving money as we are having to buy no conditioner and now buy laundry liquid four times less frequently than we used to.
Surprisingly effective
This was another purchase I was sceptical about but thought worth giving a try – and so far I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. Aside from adding a small amount of bleach to my white loads to keep them bright (which I did with my old laundry liquid) this has been the only thing used to clean in the wash, and everything is coming out fresh and clean. Even my partner’s filthy gardening clothes. Not sure how well it will last, but I’m happy not to be pouring detergent into the machine.
I’ve noticed it doesn’t work as well with a fuller load so I tend to use it on half load and find it bubbles more, not usual washing liquid bubbles but bubbles none the less. Smells clean but not good for stubborn marks
I know, I know, ”if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t”. I bought this ball very cynically and everyone around me took the mickey. They call it my ”magic ball”. But do you know, THE BALL IS FANTASTIC!! IT WORKS!! and now they can’t laugh at me any more. With 5 children (age: new baby -15 years) and a builder as a partner, and a small holding with poultry etc, I’m doing 2 or 3 washes a day, and often it’s REAL DIRT. This gets it all out, on a 30 minute eco cycle, at 30. With the cheapest powder and conditioner from a well known foreign store, my washes cost me 10p a load. With this ball it costs me 0.006p a load. I did the maths cos I’m like that, sorry, but I couldn’t ignore the numbers. AND IT WORKS!! No, I don’t really understand how it works, but I know it does, and I know if has worked since I bought it over a month ago, and I haven’t bought washing powder or fabric conditioner since.
Surprisingly efficie
I can’t really fault this item! It did a wonderful job, washing came out extremely clean and surprisingly soft. I washed a soft cardigan of mine, although acrylic, it’s washed perfectly. If you like scent to your clothes add some fabric conditioner, but personally I feel it’s not that necessary. I didn’t hear any clanking, but my loads were nigh on full, I feel if it’s a very light load you might hear it.
The only slight bug bear is that because it’s a bit weighty, my wash loads think there’s more washing in there, so the program lasts longe
Good with colours, towels and bedding, not so much with whites
Reasonable price, very quick delivery, works good with colours and darks, doesn’t snag and has no smell (that I can tell) but the whites i.e. socks and underarms had to go back in for a second wash with detergent. I’m going to keep using it for the bedding, towels and colour washes and have a word with the kids about walking outside in their socks!
I love this eco ball. I was sceptical at first not believing it would really clean my laundry. However after one wash I was converted! My only concern is the lack of scent (I am clearly conditioned to believe that chemical scents mean clean!). I looked up tips and found that adding a few drops of essential oils to a rag was ideal for this purpose. I like using lemon or tea tree which gives an extra fresh scent to my laundry. I love this product and have recommended to friends and family.
All was going well with my eco ball until I put it in the wash with my favourite running trainers and it destroyed half of the sole 🙁 I am gutted and all the bits of the sole was all over the washing which needed washed another twice. I don’t think I read anywhere not to put trainers in with the ball?!
I, like other reviewers, couldn’t believe this could actually work. I thought everyone was over playing how good this wash ball was BUT having tried it for myself I can’t see how I’ll ever go back to the conventional washing powder/gel/tabs. I did add softener based on other reviews about there being no scent. My washing smelt different, much fresher and much cleaner but the thing that really got me was how soft my washing has come out. Once the comfort has finished I won’t be bothering with softener. I might just add a spray of essential oil before it goes in the dryer or over the rack if I want some scent. I’m so impressed I’m buying one for my mum to try and if she likes it then this is seriously THE best product ever. The fact its not impacting on the environment is a key feature of the appeal to myself and many others. I’ve got one for my daughter too. My two grandsons having terrible allergies to the point the one year old needs to wear reusable nappies to help him. THIS wash ball will, I’m sure, greatly help his skin. I absolutely love this product. I know some reviewers have mentioned noise. I put all my washing in the drum then chucked this on top and my machine is as quiet as ever. Try this once and you’ll never use conventional washing powders etc ever again.

No washing liquid or powder put in the machine but look at the picture. The washing has come out clean. What a saving.
I did not like it making a noise in the drum.
That was my only concern, It’s quite heavy the ball as it is filled with some kind of crystals . Next time I won’t put as much washing in the machine. But other than that I am quite impressed. 4 stars due to the noise of it chunking as it was going around in the washer.
The reason for only 4 stars is simply that. How do I know when its at its end? Do the bits inside slowly over the uses diminish? So far so good, Had an accident with some red wine, blotted it with a white towel which then dried overnight. Threw the towel in with a couple of others at a short 60 degree wash and sure enough it came out absolutely spotless. If this item continues to perform as it is so far then I shall definitely purchase again.
Laundry comes out clean, no artificial perfumes from fabric conditioners but still smells lovely and fresh.
Save you money and save environme
I am not sure how exactly this one work, but it seems fine so far. I didn’t get white bits like some other ppl say. My cloth didn’t smeel like I use fabric softener but it seems clean. I am happy with product as it will save me money and save the environment. I am doing soap and detergent free life by doing nopoo and using this product.
have been using it for over a year and it works!!!
i purchased this product on september 2017 to give it a try, and after a year using it and leaving my clothes clean and saving me a lot of money, my sister and two friends bought it too. Great as a present for everyone. I use it maximum on 40 degrees and if there is a hard stain on a piece I use a stain remover spray on that stain to help get it out. For normal wash it is perfect and if you have a wine or tomato stain just use a bit of stain remover and perfect!
We all have to work harder to save our environment for the future.
I am still getting used to the fact that my washing has no scent when it comes out of the machine after years and years it’s a big change, to be fair it is all clean only a couple of stains haven’t come out but my washing powder would have struggled too! I am going to keep using it.
Echo Friendly Laundry Ball IT WORKS - IT REALLY DOES
I was looking for replacement Tumble-dryer balls when I stumbled onto this, and thought ‘why not’ – I’ve used T/D balls for years as my sons dislike wearing ‘scented’ clothes, so this was just another experiment…. At first my laundry smelt odd – not unclean, just odd, I realise NOW it was the absence of scent/perfume and my washing machine has lost it’s stuffy, less then clean, aroma.. Now I wouldn’t go back to using detergent/ softener for almost anything…

Only used for 5 washes and so far so good, can’t give a full 5 stars as not sure if it will last 1500 washes yet will let you know in 5 years but if this works wow great great product, clothes are not stiff, no horrible smell in the washing machine amazing fingers crossed it stays like this.
I travel alot so bought this as it was far easier and cheaper than taking washing tabs or detergents with me and so far I can say I’ve been really impressed. No matter how smelly or dirty this has cleaned my clothes as well as any of the usual things you would usually use. It doesn’t leave any smell at all, which some may dislike, but I’m just glad things are clean.
My job does result in some hideous stains that nothing can get out, and this also doesn’t, but it’s not magic so you shouldn’t expect it to be. For usual day to day laundry, including day old gym gear, this thing seems perfect.
