Took around 5 attempts to get this to connect with my car, kept saying failed to communicate.
But once we had it connected it displayed and cleared the fault with ease.

Great tool to have if you are a diy mechanic.

Very accurate reader, it really does what is says. I have a Vauxhall Mokka that is having EGR issues. The reader was able to read the error and delete it however the error keeps coming back, which is obviously not scanners’s fault. The interface is very simple to use and very practical. Obviously you can’t expect a professional obd scanner for the price but this one is perfect to have at home. It reads the error and delete it, that is it.

I had a fault that came up on my car. This machine told me exactly what it was. I was able to phone around and get a good quote for repair. Fore armed is fore warned. Highly recommend.

Easy to use, clear interface and accurate fault codes. Have no mechanical background but very helpful to know whats wrong with my car and not get ripped off by the garage. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this to clear engine codes, which it does. It wont clear secondary system codes like seat belt tensioner etc… but for the price I just wanted to read engine codes and clear them.

will work on Peugeot boxer, Citreon Relay and Fiat Ducato

Great yo pack into your car and have it on the go, very easy to use, good engine light diagnostic (I still have the engine light, took it to the dealership and nothing can be done 🙁 )

Great bit of kit, cleared error code in minutes. Make sure you get the correct lead to connect to your vehicle.
Car is the 16 pin with tool but mobikes need 4,5,6 pin adapter which you need to buy additionally.
Probably would cost similar for dealer to erase code, but now I still have the tool for future use.

I was amazed and how well built the product was. For the price I was expecting something very cheap and flimsy. But this product feels like it’s made from good quality plastics that would survive the odd drop. It would have been nice it it came with a case to protect the screen getting scratched but I guess I can use the cardboard box it came in (equally well made).
The instruction manual is clear, concise and we’ll set out.
Following the instructions I plugged the device in and after a few easy steps it gave me the two fault codes and their meanings.
Having an understanding of what the single fault light on the dashboard means is great peace of mind, and reassurance that it’s ok to temporarily keep driving the car.
Certainly recommend the product based on it’s ease of use; it’s quality build; and great sensible value for money.
I’d have given it 5 stars if it had come with a case.

Had a warning/engine light come up on a Renault trafic for the pollution sensor. Did all the youtube fault finding and fixes, as the main dealer will always charge you a fortune.
When I plugged in the ODB there was no fault found and it cleared immediately (without even choosing to clear all codes).

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to diagnose a fault on my Toyota corolla having no experience of OBD readers .
Simple to use after locating the OBD port in the car ( resembles a scart socket )
Turned the ignition on but important NOT to start the car as per instructions . , pressed the DTC button on OBD reader instantly connected to the cars ECU and detected an exhaust gas recirculation fault with a code which I was able to Google .
I googled YouTube and in my case was able to fix the car having some basic mechanical knowledge and tools .
Mechanics might have more sophisticated diagnostic equipment but this code reader certainly came up with the correct diagnosis and very simple to use .

Unknowingly filled my 2017 Abarth 595 with some rubbish petrol and then the Engine Warning light came on after about 3 miles. Tried everything recommended on-line/YouTube/Abarth Forums to clear it. But computer. ‘Said NO’. Brought the MOTOPOWER OBD2 Scanner via Amazon Prime, delivered next day, opened the packet as soon as it fell on the doormat, quick 2 minute read of the manual, plugged it in and bingo from delivery to removing the warning light from the car display. 5 minutes. Running the fuel down to zero miles, so will fill up tomorrow with decent stuff. What a fab bit of kit.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHave had two instances where my car gave a false fault engine overheating message and went into crawl mode. This was despite the engine was not overheating and no fault could be identified. Having this computer plugged into the steering column identified this fault as a misreading and the problem could be reset in the management system allowing the engine to restart normally instead of sounding like a bag of spanners avoiding the need to call out the breakdown service to reset.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis worked fine on my car you can’t really do a lot with it you need to spend loads on a better one to do more but does do a good job for the money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou get what you pay for and this is worth the price but if you want it to do everything you will be disappointed. Doesn’t pick up a lot of faults. Checked against more expensive model and it really doesn’t pick much up.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersMy amber engine light came on, but recently I spent over 700 getting my car repaired due to hitting a deer, so I decided to purchase this OBD2 reader. Ordered on Prime and received within 24 hours. Read and followed the instructions, plugged it in and set to OBD and pressed ok. Within a couple of seconds the following fault code was shown. P2279 – Intake air system leak. Inspected possible areas and discovered that the air intake hose was not connected securely with a small gap at the top. Refitted and secured the jubilee clip and no more fault. This was a simple, but necessary repair probably caused by the garage not securing the hose after replacing the air filter. How much would a garage charge for this 10 minute job and would they inform you of the cause and simple solution? So on this occasion this gadget worked perfectly and my car is back on the road with no fault codes, amber dash lights or an overinflated garage bill.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally easy to setup and use but it will only pick up basic faults with the vehicle. I used this for a wheel speed sensor fault with my own vehicle and it didn’t come up with anything, I tried a more advanced piece of kit and it came up straight away. Overall, probably not a bad product and worth a try for the price.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWorked beautifully on my motorbikes OBD2 connector. Identified why the engine management light was on and led me to the faulty component, which I replaced. Then allowed me to erased the code once the job was all completed. I also gave it a couple of other issues to deal with on purpose by disconnecting other sensors and it picked everything up, and then let me clear the error codes once everything was re-connected. There are other scanners out there that do more, but some cost an arm and a leg. For 18 a great little budget code reader. I only marked it down a star because the instructions in the small handbook are a little sketchy on some of its more extended functions that the novice, without much mechanical experience, may have issues with understanding. Otherwise a great little tool.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Budget Scan Tool
