My 6 inch globe is a work of art which seems like a magic trick. How does this beautiful replica of the earth sit in it’s stand and slowly rotate with no connection to a power source? A friend sent me a video which shows that there is an internal mechanism that uses photocells to power an undefined device which somehow interacts with the real earth’s magnetic field to rotate the inner shell containing the images of the earth’s surface. The quality of the construction of the globe is outstanding. It is impossible to distinguish the inner rotating shell from the transparent outer shell.

This is the coolest globe I’ve ever had, by far. I like it so much, I can’t wait to get the biggest one available. Do you need to get a gift for someone with everything ? Ah-hemproblem solved !

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased the 6″ Earth Globe. The Moon next to it is a 4″. Easy to compare the size difference. I love it? The Earth spins with just the tiniest bit of sunlight but slows way down with the room lights mostly LED and adjustable. However, I have it on my fires place mantel and whole area is constructed with steel since the fireplace is an insert. I understand that metal near it will affect it’s ability to spin. I placed the globe on my lamp table with just a lamp ambient light with and it spun just like it was sunlight. I am now considering an 8″ Jupiter. I suspect while no where near to scale to the earth, the J. glove should be at least twice the size. Enjoy!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is an incredible piece of artwork!! That moves with no moviable parts. It is expensive but worth every cent! Every person who sees it thinks it is incredible. It’s a very beautiful thing! The science that goes into this is amazing. It operates on very very small amount of electricity of measured in micro volts. This is an engineering triumph!! Measured in millions of micro volts by the solar cells in the globe along with sensitive magnets that tap into the earth’s magnetic field. Buy this globe I recommend the 6 inch size. Every person who sees this is amazed by the beauty of the globe. It will turn in very low light. It’s also very pretty

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy wife loves globes and maps as decorations. I had never seen anything like this before and I knew she would enjoy it. It’s expensive, but the quality of construction and novelty makes it worth every penny. Every morning when the sun comes through the windows it starts spinning and she starts smiling. When she smiles, I smile.

These things are great, very expensive, but great.
I bought it for my wife’s birthday because we saw it on a recent trip to the Kennedy Space Center. I figured I would buy it on Amazon and save some money, but that is not going to happen! It was the exact same price in both places, it seems that what they want for one.
It is well worth the price, a beautiful piece

Bought as a gift for hubs, and he loves it. The acrylic stand is okay, but my husband being my husband, built a new stand for it out of some birdseye wood scraps. It looks great spinning slowly on our mantle. It arrived in perfect condition, no issues. Really fun art.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis is a very nice item and it is very well done. it is very expensive but like all things it’s a matter of what it’s worth to YOU.

My only beef is they seem to soft peddle the lighting requirements to make it work making it seem any ambient light will do the trick. This is very misleading.

In the average person’s living room at night with normal lamp lighting this will not work period. I have it in a room with 3 lamps on and it does not work. If I turn on a fourth lamp it begins to turn very slowly.

What this is made for is probably typical office type lighting which is very bright or a room with sunlight and plenty of it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is an amazing globe and it sits and spins on its stand, in the light, without having to touch anything. The price is outrageous in my opinion so I chose a payment plan because this is so cool I just had to get it for a gift.

I just set and watch this globe move and I’m amazed at the look. Wanted one but was very expensive but just decided to take the plunge and buy it. No regrets on that decision.

It’s a wonderful object of art and science. It uses the Earth’s magnetic field to turn its Earth with the help of solar power (or any good light). One sees it as if the Earth from Space. Mesmerizing, not mention educational. ##

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI ordered the 6″ globe fulfilled by Amazon and received the 4.5″ version. The product had an incorrect inventory sticker on it. The item was returned. To support a local company, I purchased another globe, from a local brick-and-mortar small business.
Based upon the smaller version. It is a very cool product. With artificial light, it turns as intended. I do see a faint white line at the middle where the two pieces of the clear shell/sphere are put together. That doesn’t hinder viewing or use. I aligned it with the equator. Based upon other reviews, I’ll keep it out of direct sunlight to help protect the liquid. It fits in with the other science stuff like the galileo thermometers and plasma spheres!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI received my 6″ Mova globe in less than 24 hours after I ordered it. Some of the other reviews mentioned a white line on the globe. After very careful inspection I could find no flaws whatsoever. I rotates in very low light although it can take 20 minutes for a full rotation. This is an engineering marvel. If you search on You Tube there is an interview with the inventor and other videos showing cut away views of the innards. It would be tremendous if the price was half. I could not be more pleased. It also would make a wonderful gift . All my friends are amazed when holding in their hands and watching it rotate. If you buy one you will not be disappointed.

I received a Mova Globe as a gift and I loved it so much, I purchased one and gave as a gift to my daughter in law. We have the Earth globe and we love it. It is attractive and fits just about anywhere in the house. It needs some access to light in order for the globe to turn, but it works perfectly. I can highly recommend this for anyone who wants to give something a little unique to family, friend, customer or co-worker. You won’t be disappointed.

A beautiful piece. Seller gave me a good deal as well with fast shipping. Only downside (and i’m being very picky here) is you can see the seams, but only at a very close distance. I’m still glad i found it. Now i have to get the others.
