used this product as per the instructions on the packing when I transferred my tomato and cabbage plants and I have noticed how strong and healthy the plants look and how much they have grown. Will be using this again and on other plants. Natures amazing.

Love this, use for every perennial plant I put into the ground or pot, helping to establish their root growth. One pouch lasts for a good many plants, so good value for money.

I use Rootgrow every time I plant a shrub or perennial (unless it’s an acid loving plant as it doesn’t affect them). I’ve had great results, with plants establishing well and quickly. If it’s good enough to be used in RHS gardens, it’s good enough for me!

I do think this has helped my plants become established (six months in), it is not cheap, but I’m replanting a whole garden and want my new plants to thrive. I’m hoping it’s a good investment.

Brilliant stuff if you want to grow healthy roses. I planted 4 roses Inc 3 climbers and 1 David Austin shrub Rose. 1 of the climbers didn’t look to promising but it’s now catching up with the others, all are in bloom and doing amazingly!!

Last year I decided to do test this product properly as you never really know how much difference this type of product makes.

So I used rootgrow on half of my sweetcorn plants, and just planted the rest as normal. The results were noticeable as the treated plants initially grew much quicker, but the untreated one did catch up as they reached full height. The corn cobs also seemed to be a little bit ahead of the untreated plants. So more by luck than judgement the harvest was spread a little.

I think the main thing I noticed was the the treated plants seemed to establish and mature a lot quicker. So I would imagine that it would help other plants in the same way, so I’ll definitely keep using it as I’m moving things around my garde

his was recommended by the people who I bought my new hedge from but buying it from Amazon was a much better deal. I bought two packs individually as going for the 2 pack offer costs more????? No idea why but they arrived at the same time and cost me less. Product I hope makes a difference.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using Rootgrow for nearly 10 years now and I don’t plant out anything without it now. I even add it to bulbs and plants that will be living permanently in pots.

The plant health benefits of Mycorrhizal Fungi are well documented, and when I first started using it I did some trials of my own with identical plants in the same location, some with Rootgrow and some without. The growth and overall health of the plants using the Rootgrow was visibly better and since then I’ve never stopped using it.

Being able to get it on Subscribe and Save with Amazon is great, and it’s about the cheapest way to get hold of it these days (unless you’re going to buy one of the massive 5 litre tubs).

By the way, it’s worth noting that they also make an “ericoid” version of Rootgrow specifically for ericaceous (i.e. lime hating / acid loving plants), so get that version if you’re planting up anything like that.

I bought this product to help the plant roots when transplanting this year. It worked really well. It’s a little expensive but as it works so well I’ve kept it on a regular two monthly purchase to spread the cost over the winter and ensure I have plenty in for the start of next years transplanting.

I can’t attest to its efficacy very much because if something is doing its job right, you won’t notice it at all.
All I can say is that my new succulents, which are planted in a mix of rocks with a good bit of these granules thrown in, have grown long new and healthy root systems fairly quickly.

If it does indeed do what it says on the tin, this stuff is good value (perhaps not if you’re using mass amounts for large or outdoor plants, but I only need at most a teaspoon at a time for my succulents). Recommended.

It’s difficult to judge a product that there is no way to prove if it’s working or not. But since start using it, my roses gone wild . Recently bought bare root roses and they were dormant for few weeks. Decide to add this (they were already planted) and after a week they start growing. Of course could be the other fertiliser, the kelp or the probiotic, but I use it now on all new plants I’m planting. Just in case is the roothgrow

5.0 out of 5 stars Would recommend

Planted 300 tree whips (less than 10mm thick and 1.2m high 4 years ago with this stuff and within two years had a pretty good copse. Now at four years it’s a dense flourishing woodland with trees in excess of 4metres and some 6-8″ diameter trunks
    Remarkable stuff.

Some trees missed out as I ran out and they’re about 1.8m tall and 3cm thick!

    Soooooo worth the money.
I use it for ALL planting now
(They for an ericaceous one too)

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersUsed for my 5 fruit trees (and some perrenials) on my allotment. Planted in 2015 using this stuff on bare rooted fruit trees. The trees have established quickly, are very stable in the NWW and NE winds (along with a tree tie), and have each beared a reasonable crop this year – Pears – Louis De Bonne, Conference, Apples – Egremont Russett, Spartan, Plum – Victoria. Only need a slight dusting on teased out roots from the root ball – it’s a fungus so it will grow with time to form a network of secondary roots that will help further stabilize the tree. Good product.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersI bought some of this as it was recommended when I purchased some hedging.

The hedging (purchased online) turned up in an envelope(!) and they were little more than six inch long sticks at this point.

I mixed up the rootgrow as per the instructions and it looks a little like wallpaper paste. You cannot keep this stuff so only mix up as much as you need in a container that will allow you to submerge the entire root system in the mixture.

A plant in a pot will not benefit from this product unless you knock off the majority of the soil in the pot first. The roots have to be coated in this mixture and that wont happen if they’re already surrounded by dirt.

After coating my hedging plants and planting them in the front of my garden, I waited.

Two years on and my hedge is now 3ft high. In poor soil full of stones these plants have shown incredible growth and I can only attribute that to this Mycorrhizal Funghi. My undertstanding of this product is that it grows off of the root and exponentially expands their ability to absorb nutrients.

It definitely works and I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone plating seedlings or other bare root plants.

Mycorrhizal Fungi really benefits the plant’s rooting system. Plantworks arrived promptly, and was sensibly packaged for delivery. The container’s open/close click-strip needs to be more robust – one gardens with cold muddy hands so a fiddly closure is a nuisance. I haven’t used this particular product before, and it will take a while for the trees I have just planted to show the benefit, but this is a replacement for the previous package which I used up completely.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI have been using mycorrhizal fungi when planting for 8yrs now and wouldn’t plant without it. Always recommending it. The difference it makes is well worthwhile and particularly noticeable in pots and baskets. I include water saving gel, liners and slow release fertilizer in my baskets too and only need to water them once a week and they flower all summer. A boon as I’m not good at remembering to feed and water them! I usually hunt around for the best deal, not always ‘Rootgrow’.

We aremaking a totaly new garden out of what was a patch on field and are using anything we can to give our shrubs the best start we can. The first shrubs we planted this summer seem to have settled in remarkably well are are showing signs of growth so we think the product has helped.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI always use Rootgrow when planting new plants or transplanting existing plants because it makes a massive difference to the the health and vigour of plants. I was a little sceptical about spending a lot of money on a product that I’ve always managed without but decided to try a small packet a couple of years ago and I’ve never been without it since then. Every plant I’ve used it on has thrived right from the beginning and have gone on to be healthy and vigorous. It doesn’t replace feeding the plants once established but give them an excellent start in your garden.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usershi, yeah this beneficial fungi is ideal for any organic gardener,s use, pro active in the amazing relationships organisms have, creating perfect enviroment, full of energy, flowing back and forth as needed, by fungi or plant. i grow my own herbs and veggies and a friend gave me mycorrhizal fungi to try on my small plot/garden last season, its all good as far as i can gather, although i do look after my ground fairly well, manure n maintenance, plants are generally healthy anyways, i’m glad i’ve introduced this rootgrow to my growing regime, K.B. oh yeah the packaging and price were ok aswell, it does go quite far,( i used half recommended amount as a sprinkle to stretch it out a bit more ? my own little experiment ), but if you have a bigger garden plot try and get a better bulk ?kilograms deal…. Slainte

This is an amazing substance, highly recommended for any gardener. We used it when planting shrubs and roses – and had one specimen ‘Rosa Mutabilis’ which grew to about 20 feet in height [the rose grower told us it would be 3 ft tall, and insists this is a record!] – and another, ‘Margaret Merrill’ which grew to over 6ft tall [again listed as a modest shrub rose, the grower insists this too is a record].
Not claiming you can grow exceptionally *tall* roses, just that everything planted with this scattered round the roots, seems to establish very quickly, and grow on into beautiful plants.
