I have iron deficiency and this little gadget is enormously useful at monitoring my blood oxygen levels whenever I want. It’s small enough to just pop in my bag and take it anywhere. The Bluetooth feature is a great way to store every reading on my phone incase I need to show my GP. I recommend this 100%

The product is easy to use, and when used with the app you can keep an accurate record of the readings. This is helpful as I take and record my blood pressure readings twice a day and now I can add my average oxygen levels to the records. I am very happy with the product and in my opinion it is good value for money.

Initially I liked this product but it became clear that the result was very variable depending on how it was placed and which finger was used (in line with the instructions) I have compared with others and I cannot trust the displayed result. I will not be using it, a waste of my money

I think these Oxy meters are all a bit much of a muchness but this is no better than any other for visibility. My mum has an increasingly Poor vision due to macular degeneration and she cannot make out the numbers. We haven’t had any use for the app either.

What you get is a device that goes on your finger, two batteries and a wrist cord. There is NO setting up required at all, which is just as well because the related App is not enabled for Europe! (the App connects the device to your phone by Bluetooth.) The App seems pointless anyway – I only tried to load it because I was following the instructions. I know, not very masculine of me!

When I put the monitor on a finger of the left hand, it gave a reading that, after some Googling, I discovered was very poor for both O2 and pulse. Since I am quite fit and have always tested really well on both, I was shocked. My wife got quite worried. Several tries gave the same reading. However, the next day I used it on my right hand, and got the kind of readings I should have. Keeping to my right index finger has been key to effectiveness for some reason. (You ARE warned in the instructions not to use your thumb or little finger, although you have to guess what they mean due to the poor translation.)

I first used the left hand automatically because the hinge on the monitor makes that easiest, and I am also right handed. It is basically a left-handed design to me! (My wife is left handed, did it the other way, and all went well.) There was a similar ergonomic problem with the cord. It just WILL not fit through the tiny square opening. The cord is not stiff enough and the opening has a sill that it always get stuck on.

Electronically, the device is a marvel. As soon as one knows that a good reading on 02 is 95 (i.e. 95% of capacity), you are away. However, nowhere on either the set-up guide or the instructions is the reason for the monitor’s existence even mentioned, never mind any information on what the readings mean. It does not just give two numbers, oxygen in the blood on the left and pulse rate on the right , but a live graph for both numbers. It also makes sense to know your normal pulse rate by some other means, such as count as with your wrist and a watch. By deliberately stilling myself I could watch my pulse rate steadily reduce – once I had worked out the above!

I imagine this will be very useful to measure your own oxygen levels if you become poorly with COVID.
It is easy to use and as far as I can tell the readings seem to relatively accurate.
I like the app that you can use with it. Makes things a lot easier to track.

This is a excellent little bit of tech!
Easy to setup, easy to install and setup app.
Very easy to use. Put your finger in, turn it on, wait, read what it reports.
I compared the heart to my smartwatch and they were in a few beats of each other, and compared to the fingers on the pulse method. Pretty close to each other. So can’t complain about the accuracy.
Also comes with a strap so it harder to loose.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very simple!! Pretty accurate!!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersAs a man of an uncertain age who has just given Covid the bodyswerve, thought I’d get one of these.

You can spend 20 basic or 30 if you want a bluetooth mobile compatible version, which is what I’ve plumped for. So worth reading up on that before you press the buy button.

If you can straighten you (right) index finger then you can work this device.

I did get Legionnaire’s disease the summer before Lockdown and the nurses had something like this attached to me the whole time (and a lot of other stuff). Thoroughly recommend and if you’re confused.co.uk as to linking it over Bluetooth it’s the Viatom app you’re looking for.

    5.0 out of 5 stars What's the SP? It's O2 natch.

I ordered this after testing positive for covid after being advised by my doctor. It was easy to use, gave accurate readings and allowed me to monitor my oxygen levels whilst going through those awful symptoms that covid dealt me. The Bluetooth connection allowed me to connect my phone to the device and record my reading onto there which I was able to share with my doctor also.

I’ve used a few of these type of devices lately due to Covid in the family. When my girlfriend was very poorly we bought a similar device on the recommendation of a doctor friend and found her oxygen was a very low 85. Stuff got real and this was the number that convinced 111 to send an ambulance immediately and she was hospitalised for several days before being discharged. Had we not had that device, the outcome may have been very different so lesson learnt.

Anyway, with this item just insert the batteries provided and you’re good to go. Insert middle or index finger and wait for the smart display to settle and give you your sp-02 oxygen level and pulse. Oxygen in the mid 90s and you’re good, call 111 for advice if much lower.

Ref the app, I found this quite easy to use and pair with the device (it will be FS20F or similar) although the other parts such as accessing history aren’t particularly very intuitive. You need to select the device first before finding old results. I’m not sure how much attention health professionals would pay to it (the paramedics were quite disdainful about our device but it sounded the alarm bells so did its job) but it could be used as a fitness tracker also. It’s up to you if you think the app and recording your numbers is worth the extra cash as in an emergency the live reading is the one that you need and cheaper app-less devices do that job just as well.

I picked this product because I’m curious to know what my blood oxygen is, and it would be handy to know if needs be. You get the oxygen monitor, a lanyard and batteries – it’s simple to put it together and start using it. I’m not 100% sure of its accuracy but with help from the internet I think everything is okay. It’s good to know and is very reassuring, especially as it also lets you know what your pulse rate is too. Phew!

Simple to set up with the 2 AAA batteries that are included and very easy to use.
Readings are accurate and the display is very easy to read. Can also be paired to a smartphone using the app.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat little monitor. Really simple to use, just pop the batteries (included) into the back, squeeze the monitor open, pop it on your finger and you’re done. The display is clear and. It enough to see. Great for checking your pulse and even better for checking the oxygen levels in your blood. The Govt has suggested that because Covid outcomes are worse when people don’t seek medical help until their oxygen levels are dangerously low, everyone should have one of these. If your level goes below 93% or 94% you should ring 111 for advice. The display starts to flash if your oxygen levels get to 88% which is dangerously low. The testing process is completely painless, the gadget uses reflected light to do the measurements. Happy to recommend

You pop the batteries in. Press the button and pop it on your finger.

The doohickey reads your pulse and your heartbeat.

You can track in a downloaded app.

    Clear display.

    Easy to understand.

This seems to work exactly as you’d expect, and agrees quite well with my Fitbit Sense’s sensors. Batteries are supplied and using it is very simple; clip it over your finger and press the button, and your pulse & SpO2 readings appear within a couple of seconds.
There’s an iOS & Android app too, but I’m unwilling to trust it as it requires fairly extensive permissions and I don’t recognise the developer.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersA great but of kit. Unfortunately there are no instructions to connect it to an app as advertised. Took me hours of looking at YouTube to find the correct one. Once I’d found it everything was great.
