Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have 10-20 of these massive boxes. Really good for storing blankets, tools, toiletries, clothes. Easily stackable. Really sturdy. The lid could be sturdier. Barely locks in place. Vacuum packed some blankets. The vacuum pack didn’t stay vacuum packed and expanded. Lid popped out. If the handles on the lid are just a tad sturdier don’t think the force of an expanding bag would pop the lid out.

Best storage boxes. Straight sides, rather than most other storage boxes. Stack well. Durable and good range of sizes. Good locking mechanism. The straight sides makes them great for storing boxed collectables.

Super strong. Made of high quality super robust and durable plastic. Very sturdy stackability. Store just about anything in these and no bad smells, even after years of storage. Nice gripable handles for easy moving. Best deal on Amazon, even better than the brands’ own website deals.

Can never have too many of these – used them to store my son’s uni stuff over the summer while he was home – kept everything compact and neat, and they’re easy to stack. I have a load in the attic too, easy to see what’s inside when you’re looking for something in particular.

Wanted a solution to store my overspill vinyl and these are perfect. Tried to get from physical suppliers but no one had the XL which you need to fit albums. Amazon sent quickly and in perfect condition.

The 34 litre XL, is perfect for storing around 100 vinyl records, and with the lid they are easily stackable. Great solution to store vinyl the correct way and safe from damage..

I have been addicted to these boxes for years now – whatever you need to store away safely, and be able to stack them up, these are the boxes to go for!

The prices have gone up, and fluctuate a fair deal (so browse around a bit to get the best deals), but always value for money based on quality.

I have an increasing number of these boxes in various sizes. They allow me to store that which I can’t bring myself to throw away, progressively condensing the box contents down into better packed boxes, stacked higher, deeper… yes, I have a problem

Nothing to dislike – Handles lock lid in place which is handy when transporting. Used these to store & organise my art & craft stash. It’s easy to identify which box to access for items needed as they’re transparent. I have this brand in numerous sizes and the ability to stack them is great for space saving.

You can never go wrong with Really Useful Boxes. Very sturdy and stack well without needing to worry about damaging what’s in the box below. Should last a long time.

Last “sturdy” box I bought had to go back as was broken on delivery. Decided to give these a try and so much better. No frills but strong and sturdy and can be stacked. Leaflet inside box detailing the company’s products looks really useful too.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese 35ltr boxes work far better for me than the larger ones I have as they are actually fairly easy to lift when fully packed with files or folders. They have a hanging folder groove along the top if you purchase separate hanging files, and will store the two lever arch file sizes we get in the UK, but you will have to alter the orientation from East-West, to North-South if you use the larger files. Stack well, and have a small hole to use cable ties to secure the lid to the box, if required.

I bought mine in a very discounted period, so ver happy to have paid less than 10 per box (of 3)

I have three sets of these now (plus one Christmas tree box), and they keep everything in my loft nice and tidy. I love the fact that they are all stackable, and that I can see what’s inside them without opening them. They are very strong and sturdy, and easy to open and close. Very pleased.

Arrived in good time – all packaging intact.
Very strong study good sized boxes with deep lids for extra room
The boxes also come complete with handles to ensure the lids securely close.
Unfortunately one of the blue handles on one of the boxes was broken, but Amazon saved the day by immediately offering a partial refund to enable the handle to be repaired.

We have many many Really Useful Boxes and these are the taller-lidded versions of the popular 35 litre boxes. The boxes themselves are the same as the standard 35l ones, but the lids are the XL part, they’re taller than the normal ones, meaning that you can store more in the box.

They would be particularly suitable for 12-inch records.

A good price for a set of three 35l XL boxes.

I use these store my LPs in as the lids are slightly taller than the normal 34L boxes. Brilliant for this purpose, stackable and easy to open and sift through my albums. Boxes are generally pretty sturdy, although be careful and don’t drop the lids from a height as I have found they can get broken this way! Locking is easy and they are secure when fastened in place.

This bundle is great value for money as well.

Item bought – Really Useful 35 Litre XL Storage Box, Clear, Pack of 3,Transparent Clear.
I have bought many different plastic boxes.
ALL with the exception of Really Useful Boxes have broken.
I am 10yrs in to Really useful boxes and they do not let you down.
    I will definitely buy more.
    Could not recommend more.
    and recyclable,
The only thing wrong with plastic was some fool made it biodegradable.
    100% recycled forever was great.

They nest base into lid (to a shallow depth but it helps) for better stacking, my cat likes to jump on stacked crates so this is important to me.
    They are very sturdy.
Previous experience of this brand is that they are very durable compared to other types of storage box.
They are more expensive than other brands I have tried but better made.

These boxes are light enough to carry and the perfect size for storage and regular use. The only issue we had was that within a couple of days of use, one of the lids had broken where the plastic was quite brittle and not robust. Customer services were excellent when contacted, but I was disappointed the quality was not better.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI confess that I do like a good storage box, whether for food or other detritus around the home and I discovered Really Useful boxes many years ago. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes and you need to be wary that you are comparing like for like as boxes can be the same capacity but a different shape.

This pack of three x 35litre boxes is really useful, coming in one outer box and, due to the way they are packed together, occupying little more than the space needed for two boxes, which is handy if you aren’t going to make use of them immediately.

The boxes are incredibly strong overall and some of mine have survived being dropped onto the garage floor without being damaged (and also protecting the contents). In fact, my wooden garden table fell onto one of these boxes; the box survived without any damage whatsoever but my table was a different story… my most recent order also survived being dropped and then kicked by the courier. They are designed to be stackable and the lids clip onto the base via two handles, which hold it firmly in place.

Mine are mostly put to use in the loft and garage, storing things like bird seed, paperwork, tools, garden equipment, Christmas decorations and so on; there is even a Really Useful box designed to be the right size to store LP records (and I can vouch for the fact LPs fit in perfectly). I also have my glass baubles stored in separate compartments within another specially designed box.

As they are also clear, you can see what’s in them as well, although for stacked boxes a label stuck on the front is very helpful. I am buying more at the moment as I am preparing for a house move and am using these for fragile items as well as heavy things like books. The 35 litre box is just right for the latter as it doesn’t get too heavy even when fully loaded.

If you like being organised, I think you will like the Really Useful range of boxes. I have not regretted my purchases, even though I have owned them for several years and they are subjected to extremes of temperature, being mostly used in the attic and garage. They should also help ensure my fragile items survive their next house move.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersDropped off by courier yesterday and all in perfect condition thankfully – I’ve only just read that returning these is not really an option due to the hassle and cost of doing so (Amazon won’t pay the full amount for returns of this size, unsurprisingly).

But I was surprised by the weight of the box the UPS guy handed me – this for the 2x84L + 1x64L box selection – so I weighted the contents. The 84L boxes weigh 3.38Kgs while the 64L comes in at 3Kgs even. For completeness, the cardboard box they come in weighed 1.9Kgs. I cite their weights ‘cos I already have 6 others storage boxes bought from different manufacturers over the years, all close to 64L capacity, and all are considerably ‘flimsier’ – judging by their weight, or lack thereof! The one I weighed for comparison came in at just 2.1Kgs, so almost 1Kg lighter than the new 64L box of equal volume.

Compared to the boxes I already had, these new ones seem very sturdy indeed. The vertical ‘ribs’ that surround their outsides, act as reinforcement, so it looks like many loaded boxes could be stacked on one another. Another thing I like about them is their ‘squareness’. All of my other box-sides taper outward markedly from the base up, whereas these have sides that are close to 90 degrees to the horizontal base. This makes storing ‘boxes within boxes’ (items of regular box-like dimensions) a much neater affair.

While the lids are not air-tight, the snap-closed handles should keep whatever is being stored, safe & dry for many years. I really cannot find anything to criticise here. A great buy, particularly since delivery was included in the price.
