Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve been using this as a replacement for my standard keyboard due to the extra room on my desk for my mouse and it’s been working great. I’ve even used it for couch gaming with my Xbox with no problems. Though, as with any product, there are pros and there are cons, so quit wasting your time and get into that since that’s what most people care about anyway.

    Pros:
    – No noticeable latency
    – Mechanical switches are clicky yet quiet (Brown switches)
    – Keycaps feel nice (Sounds weird to list but this really does make a difference if you’ve ever used a keyboard with crappy keycaps)
    – Included cable is nice (It’s braided and doesn’t bend weirdly like some cheaper cables)
    – Macro buttons are really nice to have and have a lot of functionality
    – RGB can be customized in software, or through presets built-in by default
    – Hot-swappable switches (In the case that either you break a switch or just want to change them out to freshen up your keyboard, you can. Additionally, they even include a few replacement switches in the box along with a keycap puller and switch puller)

    Cons:
    – No place to store the wireless dongle (I had planned to use this for going back and forth from my dorm to my house because of the small size, though it lacks a place to store the dongle so I’m always afraid of losing it. As an engineering student, my next personal project will likely be to modify the wrist rest to include a small gap for the dongle.)
    – No mention of the software at all (Neither on the outside of the box nor inside the included quick start guide does it mention the existence of software for this. Unless you look online for the software yourself (on RedDragon’s website), the only way to change the key binds is via the recording button on the keyboard itself, but then you can’t bind buttons that don’t exist on the keyboard). Speaking of buttons that don’t exist…
    – Buttons that don’t exist, but should:
    – Windows Key (I feel like any keyboard intended for gaming (which primarily takes place on Windows) should have a Windows key.)
    – Enter Key (I’ve set the password to my computer to consist of only characters on this keyboard, but that doesn’t matter if I can’t press enter. Yes, I can just use my mouse but that takes away the streamline-ness of logging in. And yes, you can bind the enter key to a macro button, you just need the software to do that.)
    – M??? (It includes N and P, but not M???. To clarify, the M key is bound by default to the “map” key next to F4, but it’s weird to reach that far for a fairly common button in games.)
    – Cheapish feeling plastic (For the most part, the product feels pretty premium, though the magnetic wrist rest feels kinda cheap)
    – RED RedDragon logo (This one really doesn’t matter, but if you’re gonna have a product that can change colors through software, i.e. RGB lights, you shouldn’t have any non-monochrome on the product. Even Razer with their obsession with the color green knows this).

Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase, but if RedDragon ever refreshes this product, I hope they can make changes to the things mentioned here. None of the cons that I’ve found are dealbreakers since all of them are basically just personal preferences and can be fixed either through the free software on their website or with some creativity.

It does what it’s supposed to do, that being said it is noticably bigger than your average keyboard. With my fingers on wasd, on a typical 10 keyless or 60% keyboard reaching the 1-5 on the top row is pretty easy, and with this keyboard 4 feels like 5 on a normal keyboard and 5 is just so far. Same with reaching down to the bottom left control button. Those issues alone caused me to return this as it greatly affects gaming performance .

To me this software looks ugly , they need to invest more in their software, took me a little while to understand that you can’t access the software unless your wireless keyboard cable is plugged in but the keyboard it self is working good for the price can’t really complain.

Overall I refuse to subtract stars but in case any of this stuff I’m overlooking matters more to someone else:

1: It was a bit of a pain to download the thing to remap keys and configure things.
    And
2: The magnetic attachment is a bit weird and I wish it served more of a purpose (like maybe storage for the cord) but whatever, I use it.

It all feels great! My only thing is that the spacebar is a little further out than it would be on a regular keyboard. Not a big deal to adjust my thumb position, but I did miss it a few times at first. Overall I’m really happy I picked this up, I use it every day for gaming, and I plan on using it for many years to come!

I only left 4 stars because if i use a wireless mouse with this keypad it has a lot of very annoying interference issues. Other than that it is fantastic, good quality plastics and does not feel super thin or low quality like I expected. I will be using this for a long time…Hopefully, but if it were to break while travelling or jut kick the bucket I would 100% buy the same exact one.

I really like that the Redragon software is lightweight and isn’t bloated and full of superfluous features. The only dislike I have is that you can’t name the profiles. If they would add the ability to name the profiles this would be a 5-star review.

My other small complaint is the the power switch is located in place that’s difficult to reach. Also the power switch is recessed and not easily switched on and off.

Overall it’s a good device and it’s replaced my gaming keypad from one of the big name peripheral companies. Unlike the device I replaced, the Redragon K585 connects reliably every time through the wireless dongle or the USB cable.

This keyboard is everything they claim it is. I find it comfortable with a good range. It is great for gaming instead of using my laptops keyboard. The only problem I have is that after first using this keyboard and then unplugging it to use on my Dell laptop I lose use of 4 keys on my laptop keyboard now, they are all in a diagonal line 1,q,a,z. Don’t know what the conflict is. They were working before I used this keyboard. Fortunately, I don’t use the laptop keyboard for typing.

I did quite a bit of research on gamepads before buying this. Ultimately, I didn’t want to spend the absurd amount required for Razer products and so went for this one as a cheaper option. I needn’t have worried about my decision. This is a really excellent product. Perfect for gaming. Everything from the build quality to the layout to the feel of the keys is superb. Very happy I went with Redragon. I also bought a mouse from them which was excellent. They are now my company of choice for peripherals.

This is my first adventure with a one handed gaming keyboard. I’ve used it playing one game, Subnautica. So far it has been great for gaming. I was able to figure out how to control the RGB fairly easy. It’s not apparently obvious that you need to plug it in and install the software to really control the keyboard lighting and bindings and such. For the game, it was good to go out of the box. Subnautica doesn’t really use specialized keybindings. Pretty uncomplicated. I got some pudding keycaps from Redragon and changed some of the keycaps to make certain keys even easier to spot quickly.

The one downside I found was when I was using it to control media volume. I pretty easily assigned two of the G macro keys to be volume +/-. The space bar would play/pause, super easy. My problem happened when I was kicked back in my recliner watching YouTube on the connected flat screen.

Let me set the scene. I am recovering from a foot wound and have to keep it elevated as much as possible. So we put wheels on my desk (it’s an adjustable desk from IKEA, very simple desk… I love it!) so I could move it around. We moved my recliner into the area so I could kick back, raise my desk up and pull it up to my chair mostly. So I sit with my feet up but still under the desk. The desk is still far enough back that I can’t reach the desktop easily. I move the keyboard to my lap for easy control and the mouse to the arm rest. My old corded keyboard could reach, so you have an idea of the distance.
Anyway, when this keyboard is in my lap or just off the desk, it won’t work. It loses connection with the dongle. I have found that even if there is something between this keyboard and the dongle it will lose connection. If I had a different arrangement, this would be a deal breaker. I have a gaming laptop which sits on the desk with an attached flat screen as a secondary monitor. The dongle for this keyboard is plugged into a USB multiport adapter. Not hidden behind anything. The USB port is on the right side of the laptop and the game keyboard is used left handed but usually sits in front of the laptop so I can use my left hand and be comfortable positioned in front of the flat screen. So mostly to the middle/right of my desk. In one photo you see my desk with this keyboard on the right, between the laptop just under the left edge of the monitor is the USB multiport where the dongle is plugged in and then the mouse over to the right. In the second photo you see a corded xbox controller blocking the USB multiport. That is enough to disrupt the connection and keyboard will not work. An no, the controller is not plugged in, its just sitting there.
So all that is to say If I had a desktop that sat under the desk, this keyboard would be unusable. Otherwise I’m completely satisfied with it and the Redragon pudding keycaps.

    Great with one downside

I couldn’t get it to re-program the keys to my preferred use but my game allows me to assign any key to do what I wanted so that’s OK.
Not as ergonomic as I would prefer. I keep getting Caps Lock instead of Tab but I will persevere.
The wireless nature is a great boon for a laptop user as the number of trailing wires is reduced.
    Does a reasonably good job.

    +
    Wertig und ergonomisch gut.
    Tasten reagieren beim Spielen gut

    Handbuch? Handbuch? Handbuch?
    Wieso also FAST zurckgeschickt?
Was soll das?

I recently purchased the Redragon K585 DITI Wireless One-Handed Mechanical Keyboard and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with this product. The keyboard is compact and has a total of 42 keys, making it perfect for gaming or for work purposes. The detachable wrist support is a nice touch and makes typing for long periods of time much more comfortable.

One of the standout features of this keyboard is its wireless capability. It has a 2.4GHz wireless connection that works flawlessly with my computer and eliminates the need for cords and cables. The battery life is also excellent, allowing me to use the keyboard for extended periods of time without needing to recharge.

The Blue Switches are tactile and responsive, providing an excellent typing experience. The RGB lighting is also a nice touch and adds a great visual element to the keyboard. The 7 onboard macro keys are easy to program and provide quick access to commonly used functions.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the Redragon K585 DITI Wireless One-Handed Mechanical Keyboard. It is a well-designed and well-built product that has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone in the market for a compact and high-quality one-handed mechanical keyboard.

Qualit costruttiva eccellente, n me lo sarei mai aspettato. Solida, ergonomica, feeling restituito con i tasti eccellente.

Unica nota stonata?

The keyboard will often lose connection during inputs, causing lag, missed inputs or outright go unresponsive. While connected via usb it’s fine. But if you need wireless, this is hard to recommend.

Otherwise, the ergonomics, feel and wired connection work great.

I edited this review because the company followed up with me and gave me a full refund and offered me a new keyboard. There’s a chance I just got a buggy keyboard and that was an exception. Either way, I would absolutely deal with this company again. Really great experience overall.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNice gaming keyboard, all the keys right where you need them. I was disappointed when I opened the Amazon box to find the Red Dragon box looked like it had been thrown across the floor before being packaged or was a returned product.

    Mes dcouvertes, aprs 1h d’utilisation :

A great keyboard for gaming, I find it very comfortable. It has F1-F5 keys! (some one handed keyboards are missing them). It does not need any extra software installed, can just plug it in to use wired (charging it’s battery at the same time), or use wirelessly with the provided dongle. Macro keys are also handy.

Did have some issues with the wireless not working very well on the first unit I was sent. Redragon’s support was great, and sorted me out with a replacement unit after asking a few questions, and trying a few things.

It seems quite serviceable from the point of view that switches can be replaced individually. The Blue switches are great, remind me of Model M keyboards, very satisfying to press. Maybe not for everyone if you prefer quiet keypresses, but they have some other purchase options Red/Brown that are both quieter (not tried them though).

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this half-keyboard for Final Fantasy XIV. I play from a laptop, which hasn’t been a major issue for other games, but is somewhat of a disaster (for me) for an MMORPG. I have been largely pleased with the keyboard with only one minor gripe.

To start, I was hesitant to order this keyboard because the price was so good. I realize how crazy that sounds – it is inexpensive, which made me question the quality. I had almost pulled the trigger on a Razer Tartarus and now I am very happy I did not. The quality of the keyboard is very good. I do not find the wrist rest useful, but other than that, I am really happy with how the keyboard works. You can even change out keyswitches if you want – amazing! For this price point, I think that I got a great deal.

The performance of the keyboard has been more than adequate. I realize now that an actual half keyboard is a great benefit. The Tartarus has a lot of good features…but it is not a keyboard. I could map keys to Ctrl, Shift, etc., but it would not be like a keyboard, which makes a difference when I’m trying to find the Ctrl-Shift-6 key. This Redragon fits the bill great. My only concern with this Redragon keyboard has been using it wirelessly.

The lights will turn off wirelessly fairly quickly – within a minute or two. If I’m sitting in a cutscene and move my hand, I have to hit a key to figure out where to put my fingers to move. That was an issue for me, so I ended up adding colored keycaps on the keyboard. Those are also rubberized, which is even better for me. Later on, I realized that using the cable kept the lights on all of the time, so I have switched to cabled and, along with the keycaps, now I don’t know if I can find any fault. I can confirm that the keyswitches are kind of loud. This newer version of the software does not allow custom mapping all of the keys. Neither bothers me enough to make a change.

Overall, I like this keyboard and would recommend it, particularly given the amount of money I paid. It has made my FFXIV more enjoyable.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe only other one handed mechanical keyboard I know is the Razer orbweaver, which I believe Razer does not make anymore. I didn’t expect much from this keypad, however I do know their mechanical keyboards are pretty popular because they are pretty good value. However, this thing exceeded my expectations greatly

To set the premise, I already own a full custom mechanical keyboard, with lubed switches and aluminum body. Though its awesome to type with its not the best to game with since the keyboard sits at such a high height and the key caps are made for a better typing experience than gaming.

I owned the Orbweaver, however the green switches the Obrweaver used started to loose their mechanical integrity (green switches are clicky) and majority of the keys on the Orbweaver stopped clicking and felt more like rough red switches.

Lets start with the build quality, its solid. No flex, no rattling, all the mechanical switches feel great, the magnet for the wrist rest is insanely strong and wont slip out.

Layout is great, basically has all the keys that the left hand needs for any type of game. The Razer Orbweaver had unmarked keys that mapped many of the keys on the left side of the keyboard, however for many of the games I played I needed to change the layout, the downside is that the Orbweaver is considered a legacy device so basically you needed to install the latest razer synapse and razer synapse 2.0. Having two software programs running just for that keypad was ridiculous. Here basically you don’t need to remap anything.
    – one handy thing with this layout the N and P buttons are very close to the thumb and are very easy to
use. I have mapped these to some keys for Apex and its pretty awesome.

Ergonomics, large wrist rest well placed spacebar button, allows for comfortable hand position. Though there is no contour to it like the Orbweaver, I feel like this one is a lot more comfortable. Due to its simple shape, I found a 3D printed file to angle it at a certain angle for even better ergonomics.

Switches and keycaps, first off this thing has hot-swappable mechanical switches!!! and its not proprietary and 3 pin key switch will fit. I have replaced the blue clicky switches with Holy Panda lubed switches. Just a note, its recommended that you take every single keycap out and then take out the switches.

    Overall I give this a 10/10

Golden Review Award: 105 From Our UsersI’m a middle-aged mom who games (don’t judge) and craved additional comfort that would also give me an advantage when cranking 90s in Fortnite against teenagers with nimble wrists and sans arthritis. Thanks to this keyboard and the sweet deal Amazon hooked me up with on Prime Day, this mama’s left hand is dominating the Fortnite lobbies (maybe a slight stretch of the truth).

    What I like:
    – Spacebar is epically ergonomic WHEN gaming on ESDF. WASD is too far for my thumb and wastes my pinkie’s potential. I also own the K-700 one-handed keyboard and like this space bar’s placement better.
-Wrist rest is decently comfy and magnetic. Could use cushioning.
-Wireless feature allows the keyboard to be easily stored when not in use and stays connected nicely.
-Emailed Redragon support about software installation issues and received a prompt reply.
Hint: Keyboard MUST BE CONNECTED to PC with the USB cable to update firmware and use SOFTWARE to customize keyboard.
-Switches can be removed. Praise the Lord. I replaced the blues with OUTEMU brown switches…still the feel of actuation without the loud click. Now I can game like a stealthy ninja while my family thinks I’m doing paperwork.
-I added rubberized teal keycaps from Matrix Keyboards. Can’t. Stop. Touching them!
-When I’m not using the keyboard, it’s an excellent fidget gadget, especially with the few blue switches I left installed. I would buy this over a stress ball any day.
-You can also record macros on it…whatever that means. I just want to smoke noobs with my purple scar.

    Suggested Improvements:
-USB dongle is easily lost since there is no slot on the keyboard for storage.
-WE NEED BROWN SWITCHES! As fun as the blue switches are to press and elicit the satisfying clicky sound, you will annoy your family and wake your neighbors. No more stealthy ninja game sessions.

Thinking about the Razer Tartarus instead? Unless you have gargantuan ape hands, I’d recommend something more ergonomic like this Redragon or the K-700 (not wireless). Game on, my friends, game on.

Awesome Keyboard for Old Lady Gamers with Small Hands!

I love the ergonomic design, my wrist didn’t even know I was gaming for over 5 hours. There is no input lag wirelessly.
Hotswapabble switches feature is the future that this little keyboard has.
The only thing I wish it had was per key lighting, and all buttons to be customizable not only the macro keys.
It’s a little on the expensive side here in the UK for 54 pounds.
And the software while works , isn’t the best.

Overall very happy with the comfort and usability of this thing.
