This straightner has several heat settings and seems to do a good job on my hair which is curly without
straightening. I haven’t used the hottest setting as it comes with a warning about professional use.

Labelling of Parcels
I was happy with both the product and the delivery. What I was not happy with was an Amazon label stuck directly on the box. This was for a gift and I’ve spent a lot of time trying to peel the label and the sticky residue seems immoveable. Why not take the time to parcel it properly.
Best purchase
I never used to use straighteners because I could never find a good pair to straighten my hair as it’s so wavy and puffy but now I use it everyday. I would definitely recommend.

Personally I think they are better than ghds (which I’ve had for 10 years) They glide through your hair and do not tug. Very recommended. Easy to do curls with too.

Really good produc
Bought this only a few days ago and it’s really good. I wanted a straightener with adjustable settings and this one seemed like a good option. I can’t complain about the product it’s really good and it does what it’s supposed to.
Long heating time
Cable a little shorter than I need, but do seem to take ages heating up or to stop flashing. I’ve usually managed and finished by time they stop flashing to show they’re at temperature. Though wanted value for money. So I now just allow extra time to heat.
I was looking at other products before deciding to buy this hair straightener from Remington, and have to say I am happy with my purchase. My hair has been bleached therefore I’m always trying to take extra care. There are ceramic hair straighteners (like this Remington) and titanium which are mostly used in salons. I always go for the ceramic ones as my hair tends to be straight ish, i have medium/fine hair. If you have coarse hair and want your hair super straight i recommend a titanium hair straightener, just be mindful because that one can actually damage/burn your hair, hence why it’s used in salons by professionals. I wanted to get the Dyson one as all of my friends did, but I realized I don’t need it. I have curl irons and everything i need. Not worth spending 500 on that, imo they all do the same thing > make your hair straight + another thing to consider is your technique to straighten your hair, it’s not just the product itself. I owned Remington products in the past and I am happy with their quality.
Work great on my v long and wavy hai
My usual premium branded straightener broke and I needed a quick replacement. Given the good reviews , I tried these and they work great on my very long, wavy, fairly frizzy hair. About half hour or less to do my whole head and stayed the next few days. I used with a heat protection/ conditioning oil. I have recommended these to family as I think they are good value. I have only used them once so far, so will have to see how they last. But impressed so far.
Better than mu GHD's
Purchased these when my GHD’s gave up, they just glide through your hair, without any tugging. There is a slight smell like antiseptic that seems to fill the air when they are turned on, but I don’t notice it so much now, definitely worth the money

Been hunting and looking at reviews for reasonably priced straighteners. After getting the chop my wide plate cloud9s are too chunky for my bob but these tick all the boxes. Don’t feel cheap or drag my hair. Definitely recommend
Good straighteners but..
Needed a new pair of straightners and so decided to give these a go. The straightner it’s self is good but the electric cable is dreadful! its rock hard meaning that it doesn’t flex properly and can see the cable actually splitting after a while. Give it a nice flexible cable and would be a fab product. Wouldn’t buy this type again though

Brilliant straighteners. Others may not agree, but I don’t always think the more expensive straighters (i.e. ghd’s) are better, these work so well and my hair holds with them. I’ve had these for a long time already and they have lasted well, still in great condition. I would definately re-purchase these again. Excellent value for money, highly recommend.

I was looking for a hair straightener for months until I decided to try this one. I’m actually amazed how this straightener works for the value of money.
The only bad thing for me is that it leaves a smell of straightener afterwards, it’s not like a bad smell but it takes your clean hair smell away.

I love these straighteners!! Got them on the strength of the fact they were in the top ten great straighteners of somewhere!!! Didn’t have time to do loads of research!! More than happy with them though. I have very thick hair and the wide plates made easy work of it. My hair does feel shinier and the extra bit of heat is nice too. I would heartily recommend these to anyone with thick long hair. Don’t waste your money!! These are so so worth the price and more!

Better than ghd for long thick hai
After using ghds for years, the last one I had broke and had to go back to be repaired twice within a year, the other day it broke AGAIN. so I said no more ghd. I took a punt on this one because of the reviews and WOW. no need to spend 200 on a hair straightener, this one is even better than my ghds. Glides through my hair really nicely, gives curls that hold. I love the adjustable temperature. Only downsides being you have to unplug it for the blue light to turn off and the temp buttons are where you hold it (but you just need to hold the minus button down to lock it, though it did take me a couple days to work that out!)

Always skeptical when something is as fairly priced as these are. I saw them being spoke about last year all over social media and everyone loved them so I thought why not for 30 and I’m glad I did!
Even if I got a paid of GHDs or Cloud 9s for free I’d not swap them for my remmingtons , I like to review after jve had a few weeks to use them in different situations (granted its been about 9 months but i forgot haha) but I couldn’t ask for a better set, I’ve got tape in extensions so ive got the wide plate ones , they work perfectly with my normal hair and extentions and recommend these to everyone

Better than GHDs
A fraction of the price of GHDs, they heat up to the desired temperature very quickly, straighten beautifully and switch themselves off if you forget (my favourite trick). Quite marvellous around 🙂
Good quality straighteners
With three women in the house hair straighteners are in high demand.
We have purchased more expensive versions previously but they would disappear into bags or bedrooms never too be seen again.
We decided not to spend large amounts and after a little research I took the plunge and purchased these.
They maybe cheaper but they perform way above their price tag, they heat up very quickly and have a variable temperature that’s easy to read.
According to my wife and kids, they are very good and well worth the money.
That to me is a solid endorsement.
Amazing product. Straightened my long thick hair much quicker than my GHD due to the bigger plates. The argon oil infused plates meant I had such a great shine (which so many people commented on). The temp buttons are in an awkward place though (where you hold the product) so your fingers keep changing the temp. My solution was to use it with button side turned into my palm direction. You get used to it. Really great value & much quicker & longer lasting results than my newest model GHD. I’d always recommend using the heat proof mat to rest it on & glove. Just for safety. Which I bought on here. But the glove isn’t a necessity. I would recommend this for long thick hair. And always use heat protector spray/product. Anything shoulder or above go for the slimmer one. A very good find.

I was really skeptical about buying these as I have wasted so much money in the past on cheap versions of premium products.
Honestly I was blown away by these straightners. I actually think they are better than GHD’s which i dont think are as good as they used to be. My wavy fine hair was straightened in about a minute of use. They literally glided through my hair and have made it feel so soft and shiny. Another bonus is you can adjust the temperature to suit your hair texture.
I bought the slim version for my daughter, then the wide plate on for myself. Both were under 30 each on offer. But we have swapped as she has longer hair than me!
I think these are really good value for money, will just now have to see how reliable they are.
I bought these to replace my wife’s GHDs. At first i was skeptical that they would do a comparable job given they are significantly less however i couldn’t have been more wrong. The feedback so far is that she loves them.
They have variable heat control so can have the temp lowered if needed for delicate hair, they heat up quickly and glide nicely through hair. The results are straighter hair which is shinier (due to the Keratin infused plates). The results are also lasting longer.
Why pay 150+ for GHD when you can pick these up for 30
I’ve had my ghds for over 15 years and they have finely decided to give out on me, I was about to buy some more but as its been so long since I tried anything else I decided to do a bit of research and see if they was still the hype these days or if there was any others out there just as good, after a lot of searching I saw these, I was unsure as they was so cheap but the infused Moroccan Argon Oil had me intrigued.
They came in a brown amazon bag the box was perfect with round sticky tapes at each end sealed. the iron plates came with paper tissue around them and the plug was set in a box.
They heated up really fast with in 15 seconds as said I had my temp set at 200 which is pretty hot and I have thick long straw like hair, what happened after all I can say is WOW! what is this tricky my hair did what it said it would it made it shiny and soft I am so impressed I have never had shiny hair before and this is amazing, I loved my ghds and to be honest I didn’t think any other straighter could make my hair look good but these go above and beyond, plus the price is not even half, its under that! I really hope they last as long as my ghds but of course time will only tell. but for now I highly recommend these.
I have to be honest I was very reluctant to buy these hair straighteners as I had previously had a pair expensive ones.
Soon as I used these I was so impressed with the end results they glided with ease and the plates are big so it didn’t take long to straighten. On the down side they don’t feel as slick but they did a class job. Totally worth the money, very good value. Highly recommend.

My Mrs ordered these for our Daughter for Christmas after hearing really good reviews on here and by word of mouth. Daughter has long thick hair so asked for wide plate straighteners and I just can’t justify paying 100 quid+ for a pair of other brands when my other half swears by Remington products plus they seem to last a long longer . They look to be good quality. Only reason we’ve given it 4 stars is because it’s not been used yet as they’re a Christmas gift. Will review again once used.
I’ve had lots of straightners on my hair over the years and these are the best yet! Don’t usually review things but I was so impressed with these as I have thick, dry, coarse hair and they glided sooo easily though it I didn’t hold out much hope but after washing, drying, straightening then straight out in the rain (with an umbrella) and to a swimming lesson at a humid pool my hair was still straight and shiny whereas even after the hairdresser’s it usually still has frizz because it can’t be dried and straightened so fast because it’s so thick it holds the moisture! Would more than recommend these…esp for the amazing price of 35 I bought them for!! They heat up and cool down super fast too

These straighteners are lovely and easy to use. They heat up quickly. The wire is long but still gets tangled and will not straighten out, so lost a star for that as its quite annoying.

I got them in the mail the other day I’ve only used them once and so far I’m so impressed I have really curly frizzy hair and one pass was more than enough cannot recommend these enough i used setting 180 and it’s perfect the straightening also lasted the whole week and for the amazing price I’m so impressed

Works perfectly and I’m able to use a lower heat setting 150 degrees vs my existing straightener which is set at 185 degrees. Very fast heat up time 15 seconds. Nothing not to like I’m glad I bought this. I ordered this as a secondary straightener to take on holidays and to have as a spare but I will keep this as my main. 5 year warranty plus 1 further year if you register the device.

Bought these as an emergency cos my GHDs broke after only having them for just over 2 years….conveniently! (2 yr guarantee). I can honestly say they are brilliant, much better than the GHDs and and I wouldn’t buy the GHDs again. I would absolutely recommend them.

I got these as a back up for my Dyson. I’ve used them a couple of times and whilst you can never beat a Dyson these are actually really good to use when travelling and do a great job.

I needed new straighteners to replace my GHDs,
I had seen rave reviews on this Remington one in several areas. I love the fact it has different heat settings. Heats up quickly. Seeing it on the Amazon deal was amazing. I have really thick hair and need quite high temperature. Very pleased with it, I have arthritis in my hands and this has made things a lot easier.

Was looking for a cheap set of holiday straighteners to save the paranoia of my expensive GHD’s getting lost or broken on the journey! There are honestly better than GHD’s! Lighter, really smooth plates, the variable temperature feature is great, I haven’t even needed to go up to the max temp yet, they’re that good! I’d say the only minor downside is that the plates aren’t as curved as GHD’s but it’s no major problem. Honestly the best 30 I’ve spent!

This is my first hair straightener so I cannot compare it to anything else. It heats up extremely quickly and you can choose how hot you need it. It has helped my new wavy hair to be straight again.
I have used this straightener on my after applying a keratin home treatment. I did not go beyond the setting of 190. It was easy to use and heats up quite quickly. My hair has since remained straight, feels great and looks healthy after each wash. One thing to highlight is that the settings and lock buttons could have been positioned elsewhere, as they do get in the way.

I bought these after my last straighteners broke and was weary as I hadn’t used Remington before but wanted wider paddles.
I’m really happy with them and would definitely recommend. I love that there are a choice of temperature settings rather than just low or high, and the wide paddles are great.
These wide straighteners do the job they were bought for with my thick, mid length hair. They are smooth and heat up quickly. Less a star because somehow I find the switch and temp control a bit challenging and the catch to keep them together us stiff which is a negative for me with my arthritis. Also, a completely pointless bag is provided, what for idk? Is it meant to be heat resistant for storage straight after use? Overall though they’re good and on price so I’m happy with them.
Amazing, beats GHD!
I wanted some straighteners just to be able to curl my hair with a thin plate straightener and WOW, I have GHDs and let’s just say the GHDs are not being used again! These straighteners are incredible, they glide across your hair no problem, no noise, no pulling on your hair, so lightweight and give a really healthy shine, I would 100% recommend. They are PERFECT

These straightners are brilliant. They get quite hot so I didn’t have them as high as I normally would. My hair is so shiny after using then so the infused oil in the plates 100% works.

Having been a “Cloud 9” user for many years I simply didn’t want to spend close to 200.00 for a straightener again. Looking through Amazon and the corresponding reviews I decided to give this one a try and was not disappointed. It glides well through hair, heats up quickly, has a long enough cable and it leaves the hair smooth and shiny. Very happy with this product that was the fraction of the price of the “Cloud 9” straightener and still delivers equal results.
Good set of straighteners, simple to use with a variety of temperatures & heat up quickly. I’ve got very fine hair with a natural wave & it straightened it in no time at all.
I bought this from Amazon warehouse as it came up as a cheaper option – my understanding from the description is that it was just a damaged box, however this is clearly a used & returned product – the storage bag is covered in make up stains & the plug protector is missing. It’ll be the last time I buy anything through that option!
Bought these on a bit of a gamble as I couldn’t work out why straighteners would cost over 100 quid when all they are is two hot plates. I wanted a pair that would allow me to change the temperature and unfortunately GHDs are set to 185.
A little concerned when I first opened the packet as they don’t feel particularly robust however this does make them nice and light weight. The cord is a decent length.
The controls are easy to find and use with a clear digital display. They heated up in about 60 seconds.
I used them at 170 degrees due to damaged hair and this was enough to straighten my hair and I was also really happy to see that they reduces frizz as well.
The plates are a bit more “grippy” on the hair and not quite as smooth as GHDs however they didn’t catch at all and I was able to create curls and waves with them. I’m not sure they added shine but my hair does feel soft after using them.
A great alternative to more expensive brands with all the features that you need. Very glad I didn’t pay more for something that does exactly the same thing!
I bought these for my mum for Christmas as her previous straighteners weren’t reaching temperature anymore.
As her hair is quite damaged from years of bleaching I thought the ceramic plates and the addition of infused Argan oil would be ideal for her, to protect her hair from additional heat damage.
Her feedback was that they are so much better than her previous straighteners ever were. They smooth her hair as well as straighten it and she doesn’t find her hair to be as wispy and dry as it was before after straightening. Overall, she is very pleased with how they style her hair; even better than her hair stylist achieves at the salon.
Well where do I start, I only got these yesterday and have used twice now, yesterday afternoon to try and again this morning. I have very thick shoulder length hair and I struggle to get a good straighten out of the salon, my hair starts off straight then succums to the elements when my hair becomes bushy and wavy ( until now ).
The straighteners came very well packaged in a sealed box which i liked and come with storage bag. They bleep when they come up to temperature which is really quick ( I use max temperature) they are not heavy to hold and glide through hair.
I read on a previous comment/review someone mentioned they used these straighteners and their hair looked fab until they washed it again to which I was sceptical my own would be the same…..well …..after trying them yesterday my hair straightened nice and sleek and remained that way for the remainder of the day, I even put it up in a pony tail for a bit and when I took down out my hair sat great. I used again this morning but to be honest a quick blow dry and brush would’ve done it ( I wash my hair every other day ) as I said it’s still early days but I can confidently say I think ive finally found the ideal ( low cost ) hair straighteners that actually straightens, thank you Remingto

These are a bargain! Theyre so quick and easy to use and give fantastic results. They’re the best straightners I’ve ever used. Often with other straightners it takes ages to smooth and straighten my naturally curly hair and so much effort. I’m in alot of pain and have ME and these were a dream to use. I would usually dread styling My hair but now I look forward to it as its so much easier and quicker for Me. My hair stays looking fab for 2 days until I wash it again. No frizz, just smooth salon finished hair.
