This was really cheap but good reviews so thought I would give it a go . What a fab little steam cleaner. Plenty of steam and quick to heat up. A little faffy to fill but well worth the buy
Wouldn’t say this is by any means the best floor steamer on the market ( you get what you pay for I suppose) but it does the job and for the money is good
For the money you can’t complain about what you get with this steamer. It’s a budget price, includes steamer, two pads and carpet plate. Unfortunately the carpet plate keeps slipping off but still managed to freshen up my carpets for our visitors coming and it cleaned the kitchen floor (engineered oak) beautifully x
After only 5 months of daily use, it began to overheat and shut down after only 2 minutes use. My home has a water softener, so it is not because of hard water. Kettle, coffee maker etc. never scale up. I would send it back, but the return costs outweigh the item cost, and the seller will disclaim any responsibility, saying it should be sent to the manufacturer. Trying to talk to someone human at Amazon has become almost impossible.
I am 5’2 and the handle is just right for me ( can be shortened for confined spaces or hand held )
heats up super quick ,and can be used to steam floors , carpets and soft Furnishings ( helped get rid of the unusually Stubborn and unexpected flea infestation this year .
10/10 for the Steam Mop!
I saw this product on the gadget show it was rated top out of three others which was more expensive. They gave a demonstration how to use it to. I looked at the reviews on here which were good. I am now 72 so going on hands and knees out. I am very pleased with this product does and excellent job on both floors and carpet. Very easy to assemble well worth the price tag, and very light to use.
Very lightweight and easy to use. Second steamer have owned and this is a great product. Floor pads easy to wash and keep their shape. All floor cleaning/hoovering products could do with longer leads – not just this one!
It’s great on carpets, not fond of lino, loves wood.
When I say not fond of lino you need to push it a little harder than on wood because the lino heats up a bit.
Feel new pads will rectify that.
It’s a nippy little thing, excellent at cleaning with just water.
Does what it says on the tin.
Love i
Easy to put together, to use, to dismantle. Could do with a hook attached to handle to store away but have solved this problem with a couple of cable ties.
I bought this as I have carpet everywhere except my kitchen and bathroom so didn’t really want anything fancy if possible so I was searching for something cheap, not really bothered about features. At 29.99 with so many reviews, I went for this one.
It was very easy to set up, didn’t need to refer to the instructions it’s all very straight forward.
It’s a very simple backwards and forwards mop only, no swivelling head or anything like this. This is fine for me, as it’s just two rooms with clear floors and aside from the toilet and sink, no furniture to navigate going round or underneath.
To list the pros – it heats up very quickly, I didn’t time it but it really was around 20-30 seconds. Cord is very long, I can plug it in in my hallway and this way it reaches the kitchen in one direction and the bathroom in the other direction. I love that the pad on the bottom is just the right texture. Not so smooth it just glides over everything, and not too rough either as I have Lino floor that wasn’t installed particularly well so I was worried about damaging it. I can’t stand string mops as the buckets take up space I really don’t have, and as my floor isn’t perfectly level I find that standard sponge/bar type mops require me to mop in every single direction to properly clean the floor and still need touching up by hand. But with this mop the pad is thick and textured enough to really go at anything stuck into the floor. I bake a lot and always manage to splash some batter onto the floor, this mop very easily handled a dried blob of it by holding the mop over it for a few seconds then making a couple of backwards and forwards passes. My cat also eats in the kitchen and flings her wet food around everywhere, as long as it’s not too dried I think the mop could handle this with relative ease as well. I just pour a capful of flash all purpose and splash it strategically around the room and mop over it to spread it around, this + the steam does a great job.
The steam distributes through the whole head very well, it’s too bulky to fit down the sides of my toilet and sink so I’ll have to do those with a wipe, but some marks were on my floor where I could juuuuust fit the pointed nose of the mop and they were cleaned so I’m confident the steam does come out of the whole surface area.
Emptied most of a 500ml water bottle into the mop and this was more enough to thoroughly do my (relatively small) bathroom and kitchen with a strong supply of steam, the tank is barely less than half full even after both rooms.
I can’t speak for longevity but I’m pretty sure I saw a warranty leaflet in the box so I’m not overly worried. Even if I only get a year out of this mop that still means it cost just 2.50 a month to use which I can’t argue with.
Considering I usually spend 20+ minutes on my knees scrubbing my wonky floors by hand, I couldn’t be happier that I can now do it in 5 minutes much more comfortably with this mop.
