I have used Spears and Jackson tools for years, they always feel good quality however, the handle snapped after 10 mins of use just racking small stones off an area I was preparing to sow grass seed. I am disappointed with this item considering it was 2.5 times the cost of others available on Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve got a large garden with both soil and pebble paths to rake. The plus of this rake is that it’s got deeper tines at the back so it’s good for picking up stones or bigger weeds. The BIG downside is the handle is at least 6 inches too short. I’m not tall at 5ft 2 but I’m having to bend unnecessary to do jobs. Shame otherwise this rake would have been great.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo glad I bought this rake. Currently using it for raking over freshly dug ground in a new build house with scant topsoil and gross amount of gravel, stones and rubble. I am definitely not reckless in this process ie expecting it to drag boulders but I’m really pleased at its performance in separating gravel and stones several inches in size from the soil and because of the spacing of the tines it enables me to lift the stones on the rake directly into the waiting wheelbarrow, saving backbreaking work.
Some reviewers said the tines were easily damaged but I have not found this to be the case. Treat the rake with respect and it gives optimum performance.
    Highly recommend it.

This rake is perfect for general work. Sturdy and very comfortable to use.
Plus the best thing of all – Exactly the same one is twice the price in our local Garden Centre next door!

My daughter ‘borrowed’ my rake, so knowing it would probably not come back for quite a while thought to treat myself to a new one, gifting her my old one. This is great, handle feels good, it tough enough for my clay soil, and raking out the chickens pe

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery nice, I used it to remove leaves and also to pull bindweed (I wristed the bindweed in a spaghetti fashion around and pulled). I also used to drag pebbles out of the flower beds, I really enjoyed using this, and I’m not really used to gardening much. Feels like it’s well made and it’s not heavy at all, which is a plus.

Bought this to help clear a corner of my garden that’s been left to go wild. Good sturdy rake, the head is quite solid and the tines are showing no sign of bending yet, despite my best efforts. I always find these tools to be a bit expensive; it’s a bit of metal on a stick, but assume as it’s a Spear and Jackson, it is going to outlast it’s guarantee.

Needed a rake for the front lawn. After searching on amazon for a solid rake decided to buy this as it it looks very solid and competitively priced
Been using for a while now there is no sign of rust after use
It’s a rake and does what it is meant to do.
