Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI did wonder about it , but well worth its money, pay for what you get.. my garden is over 1/8 of an acre with a lot of borders, some at 7 & 8 feet wide, this is a brilliant how..

I did a bit of research on hoes. Went for a better quality one. It was more expensive but so worth it. Spear & Jackson has a name for quality. Pay more first time then you won’t have to buy twice.

Easy to use and does the job, managed to use it for a few days till the rains came and will have to wait till the rain stops and the ground dries out, such is gardening life.

Great quality! Very lightweight and easy to use. Slices straight through the weeds. It’s very long so great to use to deep borders. Is too long to fit in my car boot though so hace to slide in-between the seats. Highly recommended!

Good tool, should have got one earlier. Sturdy yet light weight. Soft hand grip. Long enough to get the leverage needed and save on knees and bent back. Made weeding far simpler and quick.

I had been tempted to buy a slightly cheaper product but I am very pleased that I chose to spend the extra to get a quality hoe. It is lightweight and very easy to use. I feel confident that this garden tool will last for many years of use.

Ii bought one of these for my Mum. Then when we used her’s we decided to have one ourselves. Really light and long which makes weeding a doddle. Don’t go for a cheaper heavier hoe – you will regret it.

I find this hoe absolutely ideal as it makes very light work of weeds. Also, being stainless steel throughout, it can be left outside all year round. Far, far better than those with wooden handles and which seem to have taken over everywhere recently. Also, the correct size for a big man of 6′ 4″.

It has come with a bend in it from the steel handle to the rubber part at the top but Im guessing thats the delivery fault and not the maker.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersHandy to use because it is so light. Not nearly as effective as my old 70 year old hoe which just gave up the ghost, but it will suffice. Garden tools now just do not have the beautiful design of yesteryear.

So happy I bought this. I just can’t believe I didn’t buy one years ago to spare an aching back. I realise weeds are a losing battle in the garden, but this makes them more manageable and the job easy Peary. The long handle is great and I’m short. It’s perfect for those hard to reach spots in the garden. Feels sturdy and hopefully it will have long gevity.

So far so good! I use this regularly and find the long handle easy to use with good grip at the top of it. The head easily slices through the soil and makes weeding easier. Being stainless steel helps because soil can be wiped of and it after use.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersWONDERFUL Hoe from S&J…..cannot fault it….

I’ve just received my Dutch Hoe – and used it for 2 hours today. I am only 5ft 4″ tall and female. When I first opened the package I thought…wow….this is soooo long. However, as soon as I used it, I realised that Spear & Jackson have got this hoe’s design ABSOLUTELY right in that a large part of the top of the hoe’s handle is covered with a dense soft material, which makes it not only comfortable to hold, but means that you can hold the pole at any length you want, and your hands will still be protected. I found that I could reach real far with this hoe – and it was still effective (saved me walking over nearly all my borders!! This long soft handle area also gives you a good grip to apply pressure when needed and ensures your hands don’t “slip” down the pole. It is well constructed, and with its stainless steel head it should stay looking and working good for a long time. I could not put mine down today, and have done SO MUCH work with this. The garden looks better than it has for a long time. I actually ENJOYED using it – and I am not tired, and have no aching back!! I know that I will from now on be on the prowl with this hoe in hand, looking for any lurking weeds in future. It’s SO easy to turn flower beds over with this….my borders look a treat!! This hoe is absolutely fine for shorties….and ideal for tallies. LOVE IT!! and recommend this hoe 1,000 per cent. Received in 3 days! Fantastic delivery service!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersiving from Scotland in spectacular time and strongly packed, the hoe is pleasant to look at and easy to use. The stainless steel ‘sharp end’ is easy to clean and the long handle makes it easy to weed etc without having to stand on a plot.. The handle is a comfortable and secure grip and good for leaning on to have a short break! Dead easy, oin fact!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI purchased this hoe from Amazon without seeing it and have been absolutely delighted with my choice. I knew if it was a Spear & Jackson it would be of good quality, but it is much more than that. These are the points that I feel worth mentioning to any prospective buyer. The soft handle – the long length which enables you to reach the furthest section of an average herbaceous border – and the sharp edge which slices through clay soil and when turned on its side, still allows you to reach around closely packed plants such as border pansies. Lastly, value for money and free postage. It has been such a pleasure to own that I am tempted to use it almost daily if for only 10 minutes and can clearly see the improvement. I can’t praise it enough!
