How does the Crimpit work?

Place a slice of thin bread in the base, add your ingredients, then place a slice of thin bread on top. Press down the CRIMPiT lid to crimp and seal your snack, then pop your parcel into the toaster, under the grill or into the air fryer. The enjoy!

Can you use normal bread?

Yes, customers use a mixture of Thins, normal bread and pastry! The only difference is that you get more bread wastage when using normal bread.

Do you need to add anything to make it seal?

Nope! However, if your bread is a little dry then it can help to run a wet finger round the edge of the bread before sealing. It acts a little bit like glue! Always check your seal before toasting!

Do you heat the Crimpit device?

No, you seal your toastie with the Crimpit and heat only once removed from the Crimpit.

How long to toast your Thins toastie?

Roughly 2-3 mins in toaster and 4-6 mins in Air-fyer (You will need to test what works best for you).

Great kids love it ! Make up about 6 cook in air fryer . I’m not sure why some people reviews said ” melted in toaster ” Why would you put a plastic box in a toaster ?
Good delivery , price , and easy to clean .

    Great gadge
From mince pies using pastry, to little pockets of Savoury heaven with thins, this gadget paired with the Ninja air fryer is the best thing since sliced bread. Highly recommended and great value for money; you certainly get a great ROI

This little beauty is pure simplicity but super effective. If like myself you love a toasted sandwich but hate the mess it makes, get yourself one of these. In seconds you’ve got a little pocket of goodness that can be chucked in the toaster, or the frying pan or whatever.

The product is sturdy and the crimped thins come out easily. (This may depend on the quality of the bread you use). I’d highly recommend a mozzarella and chorizo or a cheddar and strawberry jam. Looking forward to trying a Nutella and peanut butter combo.

I hate that someone is making a fortune off of something so simple but so good. Actually, I don’t – I just hate that I didn’t think of it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have cooking tool
If you have children/grand children around and have difficulty getting them to eat good nutritional food, try this and let them make their fav, it’s fun to use and very simple to make what they want.
Appears very durable, and quality .adequate.

Easy, quick to use, easy to clean. Possibilities are endless
Very easy to use. Many different combinations of ingredients you can put in. Great for pack ups. Large Facebook community sharing recipe ideas. Don’t have to use Thins, can also use bread. Tried to use dough but didn’t work out that good as it just went everywhere. Perfect size though as you wouldn’t want it any bigger. Found it better to put toasties in the air frier but works OK in the toaster.

Such a great idea. Toasties are great but there’s a hard edge all around them. The CRIMPET is thin and has NO HARD EDGES. We use ordinary bread and it works just the same as the ‘thins’. We found those a bit expensive. Banana and honey are my favourite, hubby likes cheese and spring onions. We’ve tried all sorts. It is so versatile. Lovely hot or cold. Prefer them done in the air fryer, 180 for about 8 minutes depending on the filling. Best thing I’ve bought in a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic to be able to have toasted Thins
We have had one of these products for nearly a year but my husband decided to forget to take the plastic part off before he put it in the toaster. This melted the crimpit and we also needed to buy a new toaster.
We loved it so much that we just had to get another one asap. My husband has promised not to make the same mistake again.

So so good, especially for breakfast, a quick snack, or if you don’t want a big sandwich. So easy and quick to use. I put ours in our air fryer – 200 degrees for about 7-8mins and it’s perfect.

Never realised how small they are when compared to the slices of bread that we use…. and how much would then have to be removed / disguarded.
Good solid construction, just too small meant these were returned and we were refunded.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our Users5.0 out of 5 stars Don't put the CRIMPIT in the toaster!
What a great little invention the CRIMPIT is. Very easy to use.
    1, buy sandwich thins
2, put one slice of the sandwich thin in the black part of the CRIMPIT
3, add fillings of choice.. don’t overfill
4, place other piece of sandwich thin on top of filled bottom thin
5, place yellow CRIMPIT part on top of sandwich creation
6, press down on yellow CRIMPIT ‘lid’ to seal the sandwich thin together
7, take off yellow CRIMPIT ‘lid’
8, sandwich thin creation is ready to remove from bottom black part of CRIMPIT , I find a fork to gently prise it out helps as the sandwich thin can get pressed in and slightly stuck.
9, once sandwich thin is removed from CRIMPIT then you put the SANDWICH ONLY! into the toaster or airfryer, NEVER put the actual CRIMPIT into the toaster or airfryer etc..
10, toast or airfry for desired time, usually 2-3 minutes in a toaster, airfyer timings not sure as I only use mine in the toaster.
11, if still unsure, re read steps 1-10 and also the enclosed instructions with your CRIMPET
12, DO NOT PUT THE ACTUAL CRIMPIT IN THE TOASTER OR AIRFRYER. Melted plastic is not an optional topping or a side order with your sandwich.

Hopefully this review is helpful to someone as I’ve read countless reviews where people are putting the whole thing..sandwich thins, fillings and the CRIMPIT into the toaster ! DO NOT DO THIS.

    Finally..
    13, Enjoy !

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt works.......
But, it could do with being 1cm bigger all round. The Warburton’s Thin had to be squished into it to not hang over the edges making it more difficult to crimp. I toasted mine in the air fryer and it was a bit too nice for someone on the 16:8 fasting diet!

This is good if you are dieting and want a small toasted sandwich using the sandwich thins. It works very nicely with those. Handy for making a snack with them too. If you want a full size sandwich, using this wastes a lot of bread. Or you can make double with the sandwich thins.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersFinally bought something useful
I was waiting for my crimpit to arrive and specifically starved myself all day, so I can overdose on crimpit goodness after work! Oh my, this gadget blew my sock off! I ate a full pack of thins with ham and cheese. Couldn’t stop making these beauty pies! So easy to make! Just follow few easy steps! I cannot believe some people actually toasted the actual plastic crimpit lol. No bread wasted as it’s just perfect for bread thins. No cheese leaks in the toaster either! Seals the bread perfectly! No mess and no hassle. The best thing I bought in my life! I’ll be living of crimpit toasties for the next few weeks that’s for sure, or even maybe for the rest of my life…

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt is only for thins?
I used thins to make a basic cheese toastie. It was easy to use and I’m pleased. But can you use it with normal bread
    I wonder?
It does say to use thins in the instructions and on the box.
It comes with a small recipe leaflet.
An interesting concept. In good with it so far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove mine however you waste a lot of bread
Overall its very good however you are just using the centre of a normal slice of bread so you do waste a fair bit of bread and they actually end up fairly small compared to a normal toastie.
Works although be careful what you put in it or you could end up with a broken toaster if it spills out.

Love this gadget. Highly amused reading the reviews from people who put the whole thing in the toaster seeing as there are clear picture instructions on the box and on a card inside; AND it says on the actual item: WARNING, do not heat plastic. How clear can they be?
So, the outcome of using this item is very satisfactory, although, the toast does come out a little bit dry on the outside.
The reason for the four, instead of five stars is simply the cost. It’s a ridiculous amount of money for a couple of bits of plastic.
