Found this to be a sturdy bit of kit that does the job for me. All points tighten up nicely and feels like its made of quality materials. Came with adapters and changeable heads for size mic’s.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this as a spare stand which I can keep out at home, which means I can keep my main gigging stand in the back of my car. Although it’s not as sturdy as my Hercules, it still does the job just as well. In terms of value for money – it’s fantastic! Wish I’d bought this sooner.

This is my second boom stand..

Very good product easy to use and manoeuvre light weight.. and positioning it to your liking is very simple and easy.

For value for money you simply cannot go wrong with this mic stand! What ever your needs are !
I wanted this for use with the Razor Seiren X microphone and it fits perfect together !
Now when I make content I can have the mix closer to my face for much higher qaulity audio capture.

The stand is of excellent quality, very strong and sturdy .
It honestly fits my purpose 100% and I can guarantee it will satisfy your needs too.
Why pay for something more expensive when this does the same job! And it just looks great too.

5.0 out of 5 stars AAA (HONEST REVIEW! ) Perfect for my livestreaming/Gaming Set up for YouTube

When mounting my Trust GTX the stand is very unstable and constantly tips over. Although the GTX is a very heavy Mic, it would have been good if the stand came with a mobile counter weigh

New to Audio needed a desktop or studio Mic Stand. Not sure what to get this seemed a good bet.
Only disappointment is the wheel method of locking the arm in position.
Long reach and I have to use a counterweight.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDecent stand and nice carry case. The screws need to be absolutely perfectly tightened but once everything matches up this fits my Rhode-usb mic perfectly. I have a feeling it may be too heavy with a suspension pop filter too but we’ll see!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ok with Rhode-usb

I’m a beginner when it comes to using microphones and music tech in general, but wanted some recording gear to record myself. I think the stand is good generally, it does appear slightly ‘flimsy’, but that could just be how I’ve assembled it. Certainly pleased with it at anyway.

Good microphone stand, some parts were loose on arrival but nothing too hard to sort out yourself. It isn’t the sturdiest and stable however it also isn’t the worst. I guess if you just had a mic on it would be sturdy but I’ve mounted on a mic pop filter and a mic shield and a studio mic mound so that has added a lot of weight to the top. All in all a good product. Overall a 4/5

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI returned the stand because there is a design fault with the boom meets the main stand they have decided to use a pinched metal with a bolt through it As the mechanism. This means that you can’t entirely remove the bone from the base and then for example fit a music stand to it. It also means it’s extremely flimsy if you had a iPad adapter or something on the bone it would put that joint under a lot of pressure and I could sit snapping at some point in the future. Overall the quality of the metal is very lightweight and I could not see this being used for professional use. Possibly okay for karaoke for home use whether wouldn’t be too much pressure on it.

For a few quid or you can buy a Gravity one from other sources Which is a serious piece of pro ki

I’ve used this with a Blue Snowball mic to record drums; it’s quite difficult to position in such a way that produces a balanced sound, but that’s partly the fault of my limited space setup (see image). My only criticisms are that there is no horizontal or rotational adjustments on the mic clip holder, and that the width of the tripod stand cannot be adjusted; it’s roughly 50cm in diameter which makes it a nightmare to fit in to my tiny corner.

All in all, the majority of problems with this stand can be resolved by simply having more space. Definitely worth 17.

This was delivered very quickly within 48 hours and on receiving the first thing I noticed was the stand had a good ‘re-assuring’ weight to it, and is definitely a lot more sturdy than the photo makes it look. An issue that 1 or 2 other buyers mentioned was the joint tighteners being below par. I can say that I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration and although the main tightener on the stem is plastic it does it’s job well enough. With good treatment it should last for many years.
The top of the base stem, fully extended, is 164cm (5’5″ in old money) from the ground, and the boom is 73cm (2’5″) so the whole thing can get your mic 237cm (7’10”) in the air. My mic is 350 grams and I reckon the stand could easily hold twice or three times that (and probably a lot more). For what I wanted it for, a small home studio, it is perfect. The clip came with it and will fit most if not all dynamic mic sizes.
So ..I’m very happy with this purchase and yes, I would buy another one if and when I need two mics on the go. For this and for the very good price of 20 I give it 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this for my new Blue Yeti mic.

It’s all fine, although there’s one area of it which makes me wonder about it’s longevity. Where the vertical section joins the moveable section, the end of the vertical section is pressed flat (intentionally) to allow it to be joint to a plastic bracket. That pressed section is really quite ‘soft’ and it’s east to inadvertently bend the steel rather than move the bracket.

I know the Yeti is quite a heavy mic, but when I have the stand to my left, and extended horizontally to put the mic in front of my face (while sat), it becomes very unstable. I know it’s just basic physics, but my 100 Yeti has been heading for the hard floor on a couple of occasions already – one time I caught it, another time it fell a few inches before the desk caught it. So I need to either secure the stand to the desk somehow to restrain it, or rig up some kind of weight around the feet.

Other than that, for amateur home use it’s fine. Just make sure it doesn’t topple!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had this mic stand for a little over a year now, and it has served me better than I could have ever hoped for the price I paid for it. I bought it just hoping for a mic stand sturdy enough to see me through some occasional use until I could afford something more sturdy. However, when the thing arrived, the quality was far greater than I had expected. I’m not sure if some of the lower-rating reviewers were definitely reviewing the same stand (I made sure to check for certain myself after reading their comments), because the joints are not all made of plastic. The T-section joint is metal, with a black powder-coated finish, and the tripod joint at the base is ABS-coated metal. The grip on the vertical shaft (for raising and lowering the stand) is indeed plastic, a tough ABS or similar, but in fairness if this was metal it would undoubtedly ruin the powder-coat finish on the vertical shaft. I was pleasantly surprised to find even the adjuster for extending the boom arm was a powder-coated metal. The screws used to tighten up areas of extension are all reliably strong, and have rubber stops to prevent them marring the poles. Even the rubber feet are yet to disappear into the nether, something I’m sure many people readng this review will have experienced with previous mic stands. I’ve certainly given this stand a fighting chance to impress, as I’ve been sure to keep it clean, dry and well maintained (a dab of silicone grease on the threads twice a year doesn’t hurt, either), but I feel that this stand could certainly hold its own even if it was just chucked in the back of the van or garage every night! The only bad points I can offer about this stand are 1: There’s no supplied mic clip, which for the price I think is fair, and 2: when extended to the maximum height (with the T bar above head height), it’s a little unsteady with heaviers mics on it. However, it’s unlikely that many people will need to extend the stand that high, especially with the extending boom arm that more than allows for upside-down condensers at a comfortable singing level. A good, reliable stand for a great price!
