I wish I had this years ago, it’s so easy to use and clean, no more fiddling about trying to get bits of garlic out of these small square garlic presses

I read a lot of reviews of this design of a ‘rocker’ garlic press, and I’m totally baffled by the negative reviews that I read.

My latest kitchen gadget arrived today, next-day-delivery from Amazon and it’s absolutely brilliant!

Until today I’ve always used a traditional garlic press which always leaves a layer of garlic at the bottom of the press which can only be removed with a pointed knife and then chopped-up.

This new totally stainless steel ‘rocking’ crusher/press’ mashes cloves of garlic COMPLETELY and easily, and is SO easy to use, and cleans easily with a pot /dish nylon brush (or the small stiif brush provided with the garlic press).

I do hope that the following ‘instructions’
will help the most ‘unskilled’ cook to enjoy using this absolutely brilliant garlic press.

    HOW TO USE

    1. Remove cloves of garlic from a garlic bulb. As many as required. They should be prepared and crushed separately for best results.

    2. Remove’ peel’ from the garlic clove.

The garlic clove peeler does the job but requires extra washing-up time and slightly awkward to clean inside the silicone tube and deodorise.

My preferred method is to top-and-tail the garlic clove with a ‘Cooks Knife’, then with the flat of the knife blade on top of the garlic clove I give a short sharp karate style chop with the edge of my closed fist, which loosens the peel which is then easily removed.

    3. Place a single garlic clove on chopping board.

With one hand hold the garlic press and rest it on top of the garlic clove. Lay your other hand on top of your hand that’s gripping the press.

    4. Press down on top of the garlic clove using both hands and rock from side to side.

    5. If there is still a bit of uncrushed clove, then gently remove with a knife and apply the press again. Keep rocking the press from side to side and check that there’s no unpressed clove on the chopping board.

    6. Use a small knife or even a table knife to scrape the crushed garlic from the topside and bottom side of the press.

    7. Rinse the Press under running water whilst brushing with a nylon pot brush (or use the small stiff brush provided with the garlic Press. (NB if you don’t wash the garlic press immediately, as with any kitchen utensil or dirty plates, it will take much longer to clean later. (‘ A good cook washes pots as they go along’).

Garlic has many health benefits as well as being a great flavour enhancer. This new style of press adds incentive to eating more garlic.

I’ve just warmed up a couple of slices of sour-dough bread in the toaster and spread the crushed garlic + butter on the warm bread and it’s a delicious healthy snack ENJOY!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLove cooking with garlic but hate the palaver of peeling and have tried several crushers which did not meet the mark. This garlic crusher has a nice sturdy, comfortable handle that fits neatly in the hand so easy to use. It comes with garlic peeler (fantastic!) and washing brush. Tip: if you can’t wash it immediately after use, soak it in cold water until you can. That way, cleaning is super easy.

This stainless steel garlic crasher is very solid and easy to use. No more chopping or cutting. This is less hassle and my hands don’t smells of garlic. Very good and durable quality. This is dishwasher safe and good value. Comes with a tiny brush and silicone garlic roller. You can only crash one garlic at time. Overall good little gadget for the kitchen.

    – The garlic crusher made of stainless steel has a robust and solid design, offers longevity in usage, smart design, lightweighted and gives a good grip to crush the garlic.

    – Soft garlics are easy to crush with the grid of small holes making a paste like density. It’s a hit and miss with the hard garlics and needs more power to crush. Would be a problem for people having hand pains. Forward and backwards movements to squeeze and crush into fine paste.

    – Cleaning can be tedious as the remains gets stuck in the holes, with the brush provided and with some patience it can be cleaned, washed and ready to use again.

    – A fine priced crusher, for daily usage and simple to use for quick and fresh garlic paste.

Super easy to use this garlic crusher, easy to cursh quickly and fast, smell free metallic part if cleaned on time.
How to use : just leave your garlic on table and press on it with this crusher, so easy job. All garlic will come on inside of crusher and your just need to take it from there and add it on your food. After this, just clean it well with clean water or dishwasher. You will never need to use this small brush from set, because it’s cleaning easily even without it.
Super confortable and easy for use, easy to store as well, something you never knew it can help so much!

I got this to use when I am cooking as I always use fresh garlic and find myself struggling to get it chopped small enough to go into the food.

Its pretty easy to use by simply pushing the garlic crusher onto the clove and then scraping of the garlic into your waiting food.

Overall I am very happy with this product.

My wife hasn’t used a garlic crusher of this type before, and she was very impressed with it.

“As you get older, your tastebuds seem to take semi-retirement, and I find I need more and more savoury ingredients to achieve enough flavour in our food. This means more and more onions, and especially garlic, in a dish. I am also doing more batch cooking, which means that I need to crush more garlic at a time.

I already have the usual garlic press, one where you put a clove into it, squeeze the handle and the smashed garlic comes out the top. As you can use only one smallish clove at once, it can take some time to squash all the garlic you need.

This crusher makes it so easy to deal with many cloves all at the same time. It rocks, and as it rocks it crushes all the garlic beneath it in a matter of seconds. I now need to keep a special board just for garlic, as the crusher produces so much juice it is tainting the chopping board, but this is no hardship.

It fits into the hand very comfortably, and you need hardly any effort needed to produce crushed garlic in seconds. I have found it is also useful for ginger.

The pack includes a garlic skin remover; you just place your garlic in it, roll it about for a second or too, and the paper skin will come off so easily. You also get a little brush to clean the holes in your crusher, and this removes every last bit from the holes.

As it is stainless steel, there is no flavour transfer or retention if you clean and wash it well.”

I love using garlic in my cooking so this has proved to be very handy. The sleeve allows you to remove the papery parts of the clove easily and then it can be chopped up using the crusher. Then it’s ready to add to whatever you are making.
The brush helps in clean up.

I have always used the type of garlic press where you place a clove in it and squeeze hard. It works fine for one clove but always leaves a lot of debris that is wasted and needs to be cleaned out. It also takes quite a lot of force to squeeze and is becoming more challenging as I have a bit of arthritis in my thumb. This type of rocker garlic press is revelation crushing garlic quickly and easily and leaving no waste to scrape out. The large crushing area makes it perfect for quickly crushing multiple cloves in one go.

The first step is to peel the garlic which is where the so called ‘glove’ works it’s magic. Simply place a clove inside the tube and roll it around on the bench for a few seconds while pressing down lightly. The skin just slips off and you are left with a perfectly peeled clove and no smell on your fingers. If your garlic cloves are particularly fat or firm I suggest slicing them lengthwise and placing them flat side down on the chopping board as this prevents them skidding away and flying across the room (as happened to me on my first attempt). Then use the press with a rocking motion to crush the garlic. A few passes back and forth and you have perfectly crushed garlic and no waste.

When finished it rinses clean easily, can go in the dishwasher and there’s even a little cleaning brush included if you need it.

The garlic crusher is made of food stainless steel. It looks sturdy and has nice quality. I have tried with four cloves of garlic. Would you consider it is crushed ? To me, it was a bit hard to smash them to this level. I found compared with my old round press one, this one needs more effort to press. It would be ok if you have a lot of strength. Lol. Overall, cleaning is a bit annoying. But luckily they provide a little brush for cleaning

This garlic crusher is ok. It comes supplied with a small brush and a silicon tube which you can use to remove the outer skin from your garlic cloves. The silicon tube is pretty thin and I have certainly owned better quality ones but it does do the job. The brush is just that, a small brush. Not sure what else you would expect here? The main crusher itself is actually fairly good. It’s stainless steel so it’s super easy to clean and doesn’t pick up that tainted garlic small so it’s easy to store away with your other utensils too. It minces your garlic reasonably well although it can get a bit messy when crushing multiple cloves or larger portions. It doesn’t come with any form of silicon mat or similar so you need to crush cloves directly onto a chopping board or mat of your own. The resulting paste is easy to scrape off either the board, mat and even the crusher itself so no issues here. Overall I am happy enough and it’s better than my last one. One star off for the cheap silicon tube otherwise a great product.

I’m a massive fan of garlic so always keen to try out different methods of crushing etc. I generally use an ordinary garlic press, although does the job it gets clogged up very quickly and a bit fiddly to clean. I have what I call the masher which looks like a potato masher, a sieve which pushes the garlic through like potato rice. Compared to all of these this is a simple easy to use and pretty good garlic mincer. Rock over the garlic and scrap the mince off, works well. Any garlic press will take a bit of cleaning but this is a lot less fiddly and can be put in the dishwasher. Can’t handle garlic with any skin on but the only time I use it with skin is when it just needs a bash and bung in the pot.
The ‘glove’ that comes with it has baffled me, not sure how it really works, the word glove is definitely a bit misleading, its supposed to scrub the garlic/onion etc but as yet for me its not at all useful.

I like there are no parts to this crusher, no searching the cutlery drawer for the part of the press that falls out. Overall very good, works well and a great favourite addition to my garlic press collection.
