I purchased this at the same time as my friend but my one, the filler cap keeps coming off and spilling liquid however my friends one doesn’t. Not sure if I have a faulty one
Bought this to replace my old mop (same make and model) like that it came with the additional head. I don’t use the built in water spray function any more but it used to work for me but I prefer to use a separate spray bottle now and just mop afte
This is really easy to use. Spare cloth included to do larger areas or whilst one is in the wash. Controlled spray as you go and you can add cleaning fluid of your choice.
The only issue I have with it, is mine leaks at the bottom where it sprays out from, without the moving it or pulling the handle to spray the fluid mine just leaks on the floor when its stationary so I will go to it after its not been used and its in a puddle of the cleaner. If it was not for this issue it would have 5 stars.
I searched all over for a reasonably priced spray mop and finally decided to buy this one when it was on offer with a spare microfibre mop head.
It comes assembled and is easy to fill. I use standard Dettol surface/floor cleaner and add 250ml of warm water to the small tank. Then it’s a spray and mop. Cleans well and the floor isn’t left too wet. And its quick – you can grab the mop without having to fill a bucket.
After cleaning the floor, I remove the microfibre head and clean it in the sink with Zofloura, so it is clean for next time and is left smelling fresh. So far so good.
The only thing you should note is, like all the other mops out there, it won’t clean off stuck on dirt in the first pass. I usually either give this a bit of a soak or use a kitchen towel to clean the spots before the main mop session. But as I said, I haven’t come across a mop that will ‘scrub’ the floor really effectively.
The mop feels generally sturdy, is easy to use. The microfibre cover attached and detaches easily and is held firm when using. The liquid container is easy to use. The sprayer seems to work well and you can control how much water/liquid you put on the floor. I have washed the cover once so far and it came out as expected. More use will be required to tell how this will last but it’s looking good so far.
I previously used a sponge-style mop, with the rollers that squeeze excess liquid out. It worked fine, but it was always far too wet (I’d have to dry the floor or wait ages!) and filling the sink was a pain.
In the interest of being green, I didn’t want to buy a mop that relied on disposable wipes or attaching plastic bottles of specialised, branded floor cleaner. This mop has a reusable microfibre pad that can be washed in the washing machine, and you simply fill the handle with either water or a diluted cleaning fluid. The handle holds a surprising amount and because the spray is like a mist, it lasts ages and a little goes a long way. We have lino / vinyl flooring and the spray is perfect for it – doesn’t make it too wet, and the microfibre mop itself works well to pick up dirt and not spread it around.
The mop head is really flexible and easily fits in most gaps (the width of it may limit getting right into small gaps, but it rotates freely). The flexibility allows me to use it for the kitchen kickboards, cupboards, and I also use it on our floor-ceiling shower tiles.
I am really pleased with this, and didn’t think I’d get so excited over a mop (…must be getting old), but it’s made cleaning the floor SO much easier and quicker. I really appreciate that there’s no disposable or wasteful parts to this like other similar mops, and whilst 20 seems a lot for a mop, it’ll be saving me in disposable wipes, wasting a sinkful of water, and floor cleaner.
It came boxed really well and was out of the box and in use within a minute or so. It is a perfect length of pole for use which is something we’ve struggled with in the past. Usually the pole is too short which just causes back-ache when used. But this one is perfect, with room to spare. I’m 5ft 8″ and my husband is 6Ft, and it was completely comfortable to use, there was no hunching over at all.
We didn’t use the Vileda own brand of cleaner, but used one that we had at home. The mop cleaned our floors like a dream and within minutes. Because the mop head wasn’t saturated in water, our floors dried really quickly too. The squeeze handle is very easy to use and I’d say anyone who has arthritis or suffers from painful hands would still find this tool very easy to use. Once the floors were cleaned, my husband removed the mop pad and let it soak in warm soapy water in the sink for 10 minutes, gave it a quick swoosh about and rang it out. It cleaned up really well with this easy method. It’s such a non-fussy item and so easy to use.
I highly recommend this mop. I’m so glad we bought it.
