Just the job.
Does what it says. Easily controllable flame. Ergonomic and compact design and well balanced. Easy to refill. Well chuffed. Ideal for our firepit and wood burning stove, as well as defrosting frozen pipes etc.
One of the best kitchen gadgets I've ever bough
I bought this to take the strain out of singeing the stray hairs/feathers off chicken after it has been plucked. And I have to say this is one of my favorite gadgets that I have ever bought, I no longer have to skin my chicken. It is quick, easy, precise. I have recommended this to family and friends and the all agree; now I can enjoy crispy chicken without being put off by hairs.
Good but not the bes
This is the 3rd torch I’ve bought (previous 2 lasting over 1yr each). But this one isn’t as good as the previous 2 types I’ve had. The flame strength slider has to be about halfway before it starts to produce flame, if its set any lower, the torch doesn’t light when pressed.
DId not work - Was refunded
After purchasing and then also buying some butane gas, I filled it up and tried lighting it. The flame was spitting and out of control, when it finally died down, the torch now does not work at all. I have not been able to use the torch at all. Poor product. But was refunded
Good value, light, easy to fill and to use
Very happy with this blow torch. It gives a controlled and controllable flame which is easy to direct. The strength of the flame can be varied by the use of a simple slider, and the torch can be locked on or off. Locking on keeps your hand further from the part of the torch which becomes hot quickly, and locking off of course is essential for safe storage.
We have used this first to create the crispy sugar crust on creme brle – it did the job perfectly, and no doubt we will also use this to light our chiminea.
The torch is light, very easy to fill – NB you will need to buy butane gas separately – like all these kind of torches it has to come without for safety reasons= and very easy to use. Good value too
