I read the reviews before buying and they sounded encouraging, so I went ahead and got one for myself, as the price was very reasonable. I wasn’t expecting much, but… it actually works! I haven’t even finished the full course yet and can already see a massive reduction in hair growth. I highly recommend!
Of course, I have light skin and dark hairs, so that’s an ideal situation for this device to work properly, but I’m sure there’s plenty of people like me out there who would benefit from this lil device. And, as it works so well, there’s no need to overpay for some bogger brands.
The only downside it that it gets really hot while using continuously (you wanna do both legs at the same time, right?). Also, when on manual mode, you need to press the button like 3 times before it actually ‘zaps’. But I just use it on auto mode and it’s all g. Hence- 4 and not 5 stars.
    Overall- recommended!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI inherited my fathers’ dark haired hairy arms and legs. Started using this machine on my forearms and was at first sceptical it would make a difference. Well I can say that it’s definitely working re:hair growth taking longer to grow and what is coming back is thinner. My daughter has noticed this and commented. My grand daughter is olive skinned and I can see she will have dark hairy legs too. She is 8 at the moment, too young yet, but it is a contender for when she is a body conscious teenager in the future. Ice feature a good idea. Glasses maybe a bit dark to see through but I get you need them because of the pulse light. Wish I could have had this years ago for my awful (now grey) beard hair which is a pain. Pity it is mostly grey as this device won’t work on grey hair.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSo I’m 4 weeks in using this on my legs, bikini line and arm pits (x2 a week) and I can really see really good results already! Much less hair, slower growth. Very excited to continue using this, hopeful that by 12 weeks will be minimal hair.
The device is easy to use, nice cooling plate. Doesn’t hurt (I use it on highest setting). Auto mode is useful.

Super easy to use & seems to be working well.
    Doesn’t hurt at all.
Only downside is the length of the wire, could be a lot longer so I don’t need to sit so close to a plug socket when using!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI’m an IPL hair removal convert, having had a wireless and a different brand’s corded version before this one.
The cord is a little shorter than I’d like but the benefit of having a cord means it was much quicker to use this version compared to the wireless version I had as there was no waiting for charging involved.
This version comes with a pair of sunglasses you are supposed to wear to protect your eyes from the flashes which is something I didn’t have with previous IPL devices. The sunglasses were a good fit and easy to use so it wasn’t a hassle to need to use them. The IPL device is easy to hold to your skin and either push the button to flash or use the auto flash function which will flash automatically as you move it across your skin as long as you have complete contact.
You have to shave before you IPL, the IPL itself isn’t painful, sometimes I get a tingly sensation but that’s it. This IPL has a cold plate function embedded in the device which is new for me, it is soothing as you use it.
You can use this device twice a week to start which is a lot more frequent than my previous devices have suggested. I find that IPL works well for me to slow the frequency of hair growth and the coverage. There are areas where hair doesn’t grow any more, I’ve most noticed the difference on my legs and underarms. It can be hard to tell exactly where you’re flashing — if you’re getting complete coverage which is why I think I have patches where hair grows more than others.
I will continue to IPL as I find it the most effective form of hair removal and I am very happy with this device for IPL’ing. Out of the 3 IPL devices I have had, this is my favourite.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersFirst of all, I have experience using an IPL hair remover as I have the Braun version.

This one is a lot cheaper so I wasn’t sure what to expect!

    Starting with the pros:
Easy to set it on auto flash, click hold and let go, then every time it makes contact with your skin it will automatically go off.
I found it painless and the addition of the cold plate is actually really helpful and soothing.
    Handy sunglasses.

    Cons:
The cable is so short, I practically had to sit on my plug outlet.
The flash seems quite bright and sometimes flashes when I haven’t quite got my skin so wearing the sunglasses was really important.
As the head is a lot bigger than the actual window for lasering your skin, it takes a while to get used to how big the area being zapped is.
The instructions advise to start off twice a week, which my Braun advises against, so I wonder how powerful this will be over time.

Overall, I think it’s a good starting point for using this method of hair removal, especially when there’s a discount voucher on offer!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen I looked at the listing pictures for this I really thought that it was a cordless IPL so I ordered it for my wife to replace an older model that she has had for some years. After the initial disappointment of finding out that this was still a corded model my wife has found that it works much better than her old model.
On opening, this comes with all that’s required for getting started and I was intrigued to know what the cooling function was.
This unit is very well made with clean even lines and it has several levels for the setting of the laser. Using the different levels my wife has been able to use this on every part of her body whereas the old unit was only really good for doing her legs.
The cooling feature of this is really quite remarkable and makes the whole process totally painless even on sensitive areas. My wife is absolutely loving it and finds that this makes hair removal a much easier task than before.
Brilliant device and it would have had five stars from me if the listing pictures weren’t a little misleading about it being corded. As the unit is so good I have only removed one star due only to the listing.
    Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is the kind of product that will require months of use before I’m able to write a fully accurate review so I will update this review when I start seeing results.

Overall though, this appears to be a solid IPL machine. It appears well made and comes with easy to follow instructions. It’s easy to hold, not too heavy and reaching the more ‘difficult to reach’ areas isn’t too much bother.

Before purchasing, make sure this device will work for you. There are a few recommendations as to who this device will work best with. For example, it doesn’t work well for those with very light blonde or red body hair. Also can’t be used over moles and tattoos etc. I have a tattoo on my calf and avoiding it is very easy though.

This is a painless hair reduction technique. I wouldn’t describe IPL as ‘hair removal’ as it doesn’t actually remove any hair, it slows down and eventually (with consistent use) stops it altogether. You do need to shave before using it or else you may find it a bit painful and you will be enjoying the smell of singed hair

I’ve got a Phillips IPL machine which cost me around three times as much as this device. So far, this device appears to be working the same as the Phillips one. Despite spending so much money, I wasn’t consistent with the Phillips IPL and it’s been sat in a drawer for over a year. I will say though that I still have hairless patches on my legs from using it so IPL technology definitely works. You just need to be less lazy than me! Although, I am determined to give it a good go this time

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersI like how this device is easy to hold and fits good in the hand, it’s not too heavy. It’s easy to use, does come with instructions so good for beginners. It doesn’t hurt until you get to the highest level but even then it’s mild. The devise is quite noisey like a hairdryer. The cooling system is really nice feels ice cold on your skin. Takes up to 8 weeks to see any kind of reaults though so patience is key here. Very nice device great gift idea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice cooling system

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersThis hair removal device is good but could be so much better for the price.
It comes in some nice, organised packaging which makes it look like a nice set and the two boxes are clearly labelled with what each contains. The device itself is bigger than expected though and tricky to hold if you have smaller hands and while I thought this might be because it has good battery life it is actually only mains powered. The power comes from a bespoke round connector in the bottom side of the device which again is odd as you would think it would be in the bottom, so it doesn’t get in the way of your hand gripping the device.
The screen lights up and is clear to read but as you can hear in the video it is quite noisy with the fan going while in use.
Using it is very easy and it glides across the skin well and so far, has given good results but you shouldn’t expect it to be perfect after one swipe across, this is a slow process to get it to the level you want then it’s easy to maintain and it is completely painless which is great.
The set includes a nice pair of glasses to protect your eyes, but the razor is a cheap disposable one so use your own (shame a better one isn’t included)
Overall, for 99.99 it’s a good device but a little chunky and expensive compared with similar ones considering its not rechargeable.

4.0 out of 5 stars works well over time but could be better value for money
