These are ok. But what you don’t realise until you have them in the pool is that they don’t absorb water that easily so they still feel quite light and not as heavy as “spongy” balls. So they don’t go as far when you throw them. Maybe after a few uses they will become more absorbent.

My 2 year old little boy loved playing with these in the swimming pool on holiday. They float well and are nice and light so were easy for him to throw.

These balls were a great holiday pick up. Provided my LG and just about every other child in our resort hours of pool time fun.
Despite being heavily used everyday for two weeks in a very chlorinated pool they still look like new.
A bit pricey but are an investment for future holidays.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat fun in the pool. The balls are soft enough to avoid any accidental injury. Weighted just right, enough weight to throw but light enough to float.
    Appear well made.
A little pricey but worth it.

THE best pool balls for holidays. Slim and bounce/float on the surface of the pool, perfect size to catch on one hand, and light enough so as to not hurt when they accidentally skim into the face of peopls nearby (fortunately just one wayward skim bit thank goodness the ball was light…) 🙂

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese (they come as a pack of three) are ideal for small children because they are lightweight. This may not seem important to anyone without children, but as someone who got a black eye when a small child threw a ball that went wildly off course and hit me in the face, I can tell you that it is. Their light weight also makes them easy to throw and they do float well. They are larger than I expected (tennis-ball size) and this, together with the cube shape, makes them easy for a small child to pick up. However, for me, these balls are only suitable for small children (5 or under).

Teenagers and adults will find that they can’t throw these very far and that if they are to be used on a beach or in a garden, they won’t roll. I also found the cube shape slightly annoying. With a bit of practice an adult can get them to skim a little way on water, though not at all like The Source Waboba Ball (Colours & Styles May Vary) which skims fast and furious over the water.

Another problem is that after a week’s use for an hour a day (mainly by the dog fetching one from the sea), our ball completely compressed inside and appeared to take on water, making it heavy and dead. We threw that one away. Our dog is not one for tearing things up, and a boy could achieve the same result without difficulty.

In conclusion, by all means these are great for toddlers and the very young, but if you also have older kids or for adults who want a ball to have fun with in the water, go for the Waboba instead.

How on earth do you write a serious review about splash play balls?

    Ah well. Here I go…

They’re soft. They’re small. They float, so you’re child isn’t going to lose themselves at the bottom of a pool looking for them. But if you throw them too far in the sea and the tide is going the wrong way, you may lose one (this almost happened). They’re well made and therefore expect them to last. A neat little soft-play addition to pool escapades, and not too expensive for the quality either.

i was very confused by the product page on amazon as to what this does apart from being durable and ‘fun around water’.

the balls are strong yet light like the plastic foam that you get in boxes carrying heavy items. this makes it ideal for many things, for example the packaging shows it can be used for baseball and since it is hard it probably would at the same time it is light and wouldnt hurt much being pelted at someone so pretty safe for kids if thats your concern.

it also seems that it would float in water so can even be used in the pool. i really like the product, quite pricey but if i was to review the balls themselves i would say 5 stars. I hope ive given some better information than what the poor product information page lets on.
