This is a useful box of fire lighters without the added chemicals that can really smell and also taint food if using with a BBQ.
The cubes are quite small and you need to break them apart. I found two small cubes were ideal to get my fire pit started and there’s still loads left and should last a while.
A good value pack and for no smell fire lighters this is great. Recommended.

Easy to break into smaller strips sections to start smaller fires. Harder to break into individual squares though.

These are expensive but for bbqs and reducing chemicals near food this might be worth the premium.

I use it for starting the BBQ’s. It’s very easy to use and easy to make a fire with it. They are in piece, which is easier to separate them to small part. Very easy to useful, and value for money. Give a go then.
3 sheets of firefighters, each sheet has 32 pieces so 96 pieces in total. Each little firefighters measures approximately 2cm x 3cm and each piece having a thickness of approximately 2cm.
Each sheet of firefighters is wrapped in cellophane. Once opened, two things become immediately apparent. 1. No odour. 2. These firefighters are look exactly like MDF cardboard when broken up.
Lighting is straight forward and easy. Manufacturer’s claims are that these burn for 8-10 minutes and they do indeed. This time is long enough to start to light / heat up restaurant grade charcoal, which is exactly what I need them for. They also burn with good intensity. What this means is that I don’t need more of them (compared to ZIP branded petroleum treated firefighters).
Overall, these are very for for purpose and so I’m very satisfied.

They’re such a handy size to start off growing individual seeds. Once the seedlings are strong enough, you can then plant the whole thing straight into the ground.
When I first watered them I wondered if they would hold the water or even start falling apart like soggy bits of tissue but they worked really well, fab
Used on Big Green Egg ceramic BBQ. Much easier to light than the Big K ones I was using and much better value. No chemical smells which is key for ceramic BBQs that retain smells/taste if you use the wrong ones. Highly recommended.
I’ve been using fire lighters to start a BBQ for years but I’m not a fan of the horrible chemical smell. These eco fire lighters get rid of that problem and I found that the BBQ started just as easily. I will not be going back to the traditional fire lighting cubes now that I have tried these. The only “problem” with them is that they are quite tough to break apart into individual cubes.
Odour free, not bad smell or anything similar coming out from them.

These are some eco friendly fire lighters. The first thing you notice upon opening them is that there isn’t a strong smell of paraffin.
Each firefighter is smaller than I expected and it’s quite hard to break them off. Given the size, I tried two in my wood burner to get it going. There seemed an initial resistance to light at first (long matches are helpful here) but once it did get going, it burned well and for a good length of time.
They aren’t cheap and so lose a star, but if you’re wanting to move away from the traditional firelighter full of chemicals, these are a good place to start.
I invested in a wood burner last year and anyone familiar with this will be used to starting a fire with kindling and a fire starter. I found these standard fire starters great but they are quite expensive at around 10 for 100. This is 5.99 for 96 pieces which are snapped off from a block. I found 1 or 2 blocks perfectly fine to start a fire and they burn for a good 10 minutes, therefore able to light most well placed bits of kindling.
If you stick with 1 block per start up, it works out as being nearly half the price of other starters.
Used to start a wooden barbecue and they worked well. I only needed two of the little squares for each end but you could probably get away with one (with patience). Easily light and no smell which you get with normal traditional white firefighters. A little pricey but these are eco friendly.
I got these to try on our log burner as they are all natural and I thought that they would be better than the usual ones covered in chemicals.
They don’t particularly have any smell which is good.
Each segment is approximately the size of the end of my thumb so they are smaller than ones I have used previously.
Unfortunately I am unable to try them out just now as we are having lovely sunny days but I will come back when I need to light the fire and update my review.
