I have had a sensitive ear since perforating it. Painful in wind and water. Bioears blocks out the wind completely and very effective in the swimming pool. Easy to insert, but I did have to be careful as pushing them in too firmly caused a painful vacuum.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese are the best ear plugs I’ve used. Used them camping at festivals (Glastonbury), hostels with strangers, and everything in between. It blocks out 99% of sounds; music, people coming back to their tents, snorers etc.
    Highly recommended these.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are great for protecting ears from water intake. I suffer from ear problems and this kept any further irritation at bay. They mould well into your ears. The heat makes them a bit softer so just be careful not to push them in too far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve used these earplugs for years and they’re excellent. Other similar brands have reviews about the silicone breaking apart while wearing them but I’ve never once had this problem with this brand. They block out noise from my partner’s snoring, my early-rising upstairs neighbour, and I wouldn’t go away to a hotel or camping without them. They really block out a lot of noise well due to it moulding to your inner ear shape. They’re comfortable to wear too.

I have suffered from disturbed sleep for years. My lovely wife is a heavy breather and unfortunately that would sometimes keep me awake for hours. These gel plugs fit comfortably in the ear and can completely block out sound as they form a perfect seal. They also stay in all night without ever falling out due to their slightly sticky composition. With these in I can now go straight to sleep and sleep for longer and more soundly. They block out the sound of noisy sparrows at my house in the summer and seagulls on the roof when by the sea. I slept in a room in Italy with noisy air conditioning under an airport flightpath and was oblivious to the noise.

As an extremely light sleeper I’ve been using these earplugs for years and found them to be best on the market. Unfortunately, no earplugs can work miracles, but I feel this is the best that can be done. Just beware the potential to clog up the ear canal with wax, probably worth using something like Otex drops once a week to avoid buildup.

If you need to use earplugs then these are worth trying. They are soft and pliable so can be moulded to cover the opening to the ear. They normally block or reduce the noise of snoring even up close. There is no comparison with rough foam earplugs when it comes to comfort and fit, or to plastic or rubber ones for performance. What’s more, they can be rinsed or washed and reused.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best on the marke

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI get up for work at 3am and my revvy revvy, car door slamming neighbour works till 1 am. Throw in my wife’s pneumatic drill snoring and result, misery! I’ve tried a few different types of earplugs which to be honest are most suited to work purposes. Sweaty, sore ears. These are not perfect but for now I’ll be sticking with them. They’re not entirely noise cancelling, I hear my alarm but it sounds really quite far away. They don’t make my ears sweaty or sore and are really quite comfortable. My tip is to make a sort of mushroom shape with a short term which goes in your lughole and then spread the rest around your outer ear. Make sure to tuck them into all the nucks and crannys with your finger tip. I do find they move a bit in the night but half waking up to tuck them back in is nowhere near as bad as waking up then laying awake gritting my teeth about the obvious conspiracy to deny me a decent nights rest. If you’re looking for sleep earplugs you’ll know the feeling! They’re a tad expensive but I get a week out of a pair with a quick rinse under the tap. Give them a go, they might work for you like they do for me. If I end up with some horrible ear infection, I’ll update my review!

After spending months using foam earplugs, this seemed like a better solution which might be less uncomfortable on my ears. The product works well in terms of moulding to your ear, and I suspect it might work well for swimming (although would not know). However, when I tried to fall asleep, my fianc’s snoring was far too loud. Would not buy again, as I would not recommend for sleeping next to someone who snores loudly… High decibel reduction foam earplugs are much less comfy unfortunately, but work better for noise reduction with loud snorers.

I have tried various ear plugs (mainly to help sleep with my husband snoring) and since we’re going camping as a family, both myself and my eldest daughter (who’s 15) are quite light sleepers, we need something in case the snoring is particularly bad.

As suggested in a couple of other reviews, I cut one in half to use in both ears, they are quite large. They are extremely mouldable, and once pressed into the ear (not down into the ear canal), provide a really good barrier, they do not cause any discomfort and are comfortable to wear. You can press and move them around without any issues and I used the same set 2 nights running.

It does not completely block out all sound, and I still heard my alarm the morning after, it leaves a bit of a dull background sound.

Overall, I’m very happy with the product.

    Brilliant! Quite simply, brilliant!

I was in hospital for a couple of nights, and we all know how busy they can be at night. On top of that, my room was next to a small lake…I had no idea that ducks didn’t need any sleep, noisy little things.

Anyway, the first night I used the traditional yellow ear plugs. They were ok, but they didn’t stop the noise, just take the edge off it.

The second night, I used these and they were unbelievable. As long as you put them in properly, they work perfectly. Almost no exterior sound whatsoever. It was exactly what I needed for some solid sleep, even though I was woken up every four hours for blood pressure checks.

I have only used one pair, and I continued to use them at home, during the day, after I returned from hospital. They are still usable and I’ve probably used them six times in total now. As I said, follow the instructions to maximise their life.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAt times I lie there believing I’m actually on Old MacDonald’s farm, as my husband’s snoring takes on a life of its own. So, out of pure desperation I buy several types of ear plugs, which I tried and binned, or relegated to the bedside drawer. Then I tried these…
Omg why did I not discover these sooner? When you’re lying awake trying hard to ignore the thundering snore next to you, you also hear every other noise the house, dog or world outside makes.
These completely block out every sound. No snoring! No snoring, no random sleep noises, no bodily function sounds, or bed frame squeaking every time my husband turns over; nothing!
So I slept right though every noise, including my alarm, which is loud and more or less next to my head! This would have been dangerous had it not been a morning when I wasn’t in work, as I don’t know how I’d work around that one.
The earplugs are quite hard to begin with but as they warm up, they soften and completely mould into the ear. What I love is the fact they don’t go into the ear, just moulding itself across the outer ear to prevent sound, rather than having to insert something intrusive inside.

    Pros:
    Comfortable
    Completely restricts sound
    Best night’s sleep in months!

    Cons:
    Danger of not hearing alarm
Only a couple of uses per earplug
    Costly in long run
Quite sticky when warm – tie hair back before removal!

On taking them out, which is easy as they simply peal off, one snagged on my long hair. It was like removing chewing gum! My fault as my (very curly and unruly (first thing)) hair was in the way and common sense did not prevail. I spent five minutes removing what I can only describe as glue from hair. Still worth it due to best sleep in a year!

Omg I am totally hooked on these and was after one use. Have never written an Amazon review before but these are so good that it inspired my first one. For months I’ve been using the Medi Grade silicone earplugs. They were good at blocking out noise but would fall out every single time I rolled over which drove me MAD. But I assumed that that was just a quality of all silicone earplugs so just accepted it and kept buying the Medi Grade ones. However, last week I needed a new pack, but when I went to buy them the price had been risen by a lot. I wasn’t going to pay that much, so I looked around for something less expensive, and came across bio ears. Assumed they would be exactly the same as Medi Grade, just under a different brand name. I WAS SO WRONG. These stay in my ears ALL. NIGHT. no matter how much I roll over, move around, get up and out of bed, walk around; I’m pretty sure I could even repeatedly bang my head against my pillow and they still wouldn’t come out. It is so amazing being able to go all night without having to re-insert my earplugs several times for the first time in soooo many months. They can also be reused more than the Medi Grade ones. I could only reuse them 2-3 times, with bio ears I’m currently on use 4 and they’re still super sticky! Be warned the noise cancellation is standard, it helps a lot but certainly doesn’t block out all noise, but that would be too good to be true haha. I am never going back, will be sticking with bio ears forever (unless I move into a totally soundproofed room at some point in my life)!!!!

These ear plugs are amazing. Use as instructed and they will work just fine. I tend to roll mine into a ball with a little point that sits in the ear canal (but not all the way in) and I don’t hear a peep when asleep. I do still hear my alarm as long as it’s near my head, but any background noise is thankfully gone. I’m still able to hear things I’m focusing on, e.g. a video on my phone, once they’re in, but don’t let that alarm you – they work really well for me when sleeping. My only concern is that after I’ve worn them for a few nights in a row my ears ache a little – so if you can take a break every few nights or so, you will hopefully avoid that. I hope I won’t need them long term, but for now this is a perfect solution to a noisy flatmate in the mornings!

Best plugs I’ve used, the noise where I live has been causing me disturbed sleep for months, I tried ear phones with a white noise app and a bluetooth eye masks that cover your ears, none of which were uncomfortable and didn’t help much at all. I’ve tried out the plugs once so far and it was the best sleep I’ve had in a good while! They comfy, all external noise fades to background and becomes barely noticeable. The only negative thing I will say is that if you have long hair you will need to tie it back to avoid the ear plugs getting stuck to it like chewing gum. This happened to me and I had to pull away part of the plug which had mulched into my hair and painstakingly comb it out like glue, not ideal when you’ve got work first thing in the AM, however I’m sure with hair tied back this would be less likely to occur.

Golden Review Award: 101 From Our UsersI’ve been using these earplugs for 2 years now, after foam ones kept causing pain and scabbing up my outta ear. I also kept needing my ears syringing. These are amazing for blocking out noise whilst sleeping. They block out background noise, outside traffic (I live on a very busy road, and on the route to the police station) also blocks out neighbour’s noise in my clanky block of flats. No more pain and no more ear syringing.

I see reviews where people are saying that they don’t work. The reason for that is they aren’t using them correctly. They do not get rolled up and put in your ear. They absolutely must not be inserted into the ear! They are sticky silicone and you are basically using the stickiness to create a seal over your ear hole. Put them between your fingers, roll them slightly into a ball. Pop them over your ear hole and then Just push against them slightly and gently until you form a seal until you can no longer hear anything. You’ll feel a bit of suction once you’ve sealed the ear.

Each pair can usually only be used 1 to 2 times as the stickiness disappears.

Follow the directions properly and you’ll find that these are the best earplugs for blocking out noise.

Golden Review Award: 212 From Our UsersIt was one of those quiet winter days, the birds had up’ed sticks and flown south – their shadows racing in the skies like a thousand tiny arrows dancing toward the sun. Only the old partisans staying behind. The trees were still, the waters still, everywhere a frozen fragment in time.
I headed toward the road, even the cars seemed quiet today – everyones gone electric. I waved to the next door’bers, they waved back and whispered hello – i supposed they were sensing the theme of things and keeping there voices down, forbiding themselves from spoiling the tranquil silence.

A few paces more and behold! An old chum from the glory days of my gory youth!
“Ahoy there, old bean! what brings you to the neck of these fair woods, looking all old and beany!?”
He grins, “something, something” he mimes and laughs. Then points at his watch and mimes again – “got to get to the sausage thick, im late and my boss is making elephant stew! He’s going to tire me!”.
That was a wierd conversation I thought but shrugged it off and moved on. But these conversations would become the norm..

It was 10 years till i realised i still had the earplugs in. Ive lost friends, family and my wife called me a “sucking diodot”.
Dont be a victim like me, remember to remove the plugs.

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersDid a lot of research into ear plugs as I have a very noisy partner! They take some getting used to, but work well for me now. These can be a bit sticky, and if I wear two I find I do get the whooshing/heartbeat sound in my ears. As someone that sleeps on my side what works best for me is just wearing one in my top ear (the one not on the pillow). This stops the heartbeat noise and dulls the snoring enough for me to sleep. They are comfortable to wear and lean on if you wish, though you do sometimes feel like you stick to the pillow. They do not leave a mark though. Can be worn a couple/few nights if you keep them and your ears clean. As with most ear plugs they can’t cancel out all noise – but I do find these work well.
