A bit worried but...
I got one of those when I heard they were on offer and I was chuffed until I received it.
It arrived in an original Dewalt , box but the box was entirely open ( ripped off actually ).
Upon checking the battery, it seemed good to me so didn’t make a fuss of it.
Only issue so far is that it doesn’t sit properly in the charger. I have to fiddle with it until it connects with the charging pins and be careful not to dislodge it when putting it down to charge. I found that curious, borderline worrying… Then I read the reviews about the fake ones , the ones without power or not charging after the first initial charge or the fact that the picture was different from the product received , etc.
Which pushed me to go check a second time to see if mine ‘ looked ” genuine or not.
After checking I can assume that it is original , except for one slight difference with the existing 4 ah I already have : It’s the QR code which is engraved in my old one and not really in the new one. That’s it for the differences.
I also checked the date and it is from 2023 , so all good on this too… I put it in my electric screwdriver to compare it with the old one ( both fully charged ) and I could here more power in the new one , as it should be.
So in my case , except for a slight difference in design , it seems genuine and is working as intended although I have not properly tested it, but I will very soon to test its longevity.
Fingers crossed I have not been fooled like some of the other buyers , but it is a shame to buy from a ” reputable ” brand and having to wonder if the product received is genuine or not : IT SHOULD BE….
I my case only the future will tell and I will be reporting back if anything goes wrong with it.
Not cheap but worth it for use with high drain power tools
Was using a 2ah with my DeWalt leaf blower which was light but didnt last long enough to clear the garden.
This 4ah does the job so much better – feels weighty but not too heavy.
Gives about half an hour at full blast, so I dont have to rush the job!

Proper power that should have come as standard with the tool
When I bought my Dewalt drill and screwdriver set a number of years ago it came with a poultry low power battery times two. Both have performed adequately however you needed to batteries to do one job as one was on charge while you flatten the other in minutes.
The purchase of this battery means I can complete a task I’m still have power left in the battery and this size of battery is the one that should’ve come with do units in the first place not the cheap 1.5 units that came with it.

I bought all separate components as the kits weren’t available that I wanted, charged fully before I used it and after a full day of usage it had only dropped by a bar of battery! Obviously not pushing it very hard . It’s a genuine battery as all the DeWalt details matched up. Can’t go wrong for the price

DeWalt Quality
I love my DeWalt XR tools and this extra power means there’s no interruptions to projects waiting for my smaller capacity batteries to recharge. I was concerned that the extra size and weight might make the tools more unwieldly and throw off the balance when in use (which is why I didn’t go for the full 5Ah battery) but happy to say this is not the case. You need this.
Working and charging and seems ok
Only received the 4ah battery so i don’t know about longevity or battery life but. It’s working well and charges fine. It’s not the same colour as in the photo. That was my only concern when ordering it.
Excellent Battery for the Dewalt XR Range
I bought this to add to my Dewalt XR range of power tools, I paid 23 on a deal but honestly would be happy to pay full price. The battery lasts ages even when using it all day on a drill, the XR range from Dewalt is brilliant for the enthusiastic DIY’er and professionals alike.

If you are a DIYer, take the plunge and get the Dewalt Driver and Drill set. This battery now means that I can drill to my hearts content for hours. The DeWalt drill/driver case even has room for this larger battery. I bought this alongside a Einhell UK TC-MS 2112 1600 W Compound Mitre Saw and making my new Deck was made so much easier. Just got to find something else that needs a hole drilled in it.

When i spotted these at just 12.50 2 weeks ago i thought it was a scam or a mistake but the seeing they were being sold actually from amazon and not a 3rd party and with prime i decided to order 20 or in the end all of the last 11 which was listed as available stock, WOW what a deal 11 YES ELEVEN 4 amp batteries for under 140 in grand total i could not believe my luck or eyes, i was given a delivery date of about 30 days but they all came today 2 weeks early and are 100% genuine dewalt boxed batteries, i see amazon later had put the price up by over 40 to 53 each before removing them completely from sale by amazon themselves, so i think i managed to get a flash sale or a clearance just in time, however these are not even old stock as the manufacturing date is only a month ago so i am so delighted with this deal,
i am currently charging them all up to check them out but the are 100% genuine delwalt retail boxed and direct from amazon themselves, funny thing is i only wanted 1 battery for a backup tool at the time of sale as i stopped using dewalt in favour of milwaukee some time ago, so i currently only use a dewalt impact as a backup tool only, so this deal might end up costing me a lot a i will now have to invest in some more dewalt tools to take advantage of my new pile of batteries, lucky i kept my old dewalt chargers to charge these bad boys. so far every battery is 100% good and fully charged, just tested my impact driver and its so powerful compared to the old 3 amp battery, and i pounded in some 8 inch torx screws no problems what so ever into sleepers.
well i am delighted anyway these are good strong batteries indeed as good as my milwaukee 5 amp batteries, you guys keep your eyes open for other deals as at 12.50 this was fantastic value for money, not sure how many people grabbed these at 12.50 each but i know i got the last 11 as i tried to buy 20 and they would only let me buy 11

Good product ideal for a quick replacement those who own a DeWalt Ratchet gun or drill know the fault with these are the batteries break too easy or become loose.
Gave 4 stars overall because the issue is still there. It’s the batteries too brittle and heat up too quickly, smoke and burn. Can put this down to overuse or me working to hard.
Would recommend for a replacement cheaper than buying direct good value would advice when you get a replacement put on some cable ties to keep it firm in place before using it, only problem is you’ll keep on having to do this each time you take the battery off to charge.
Another common and most common fault is that these batteries burn out mine has been going strong and fingers crossed will last me a few more months before I change from DeWalt.
Great battery
Brought these to use in my dewalt site radio. They come charged and ready to use. One full charge lasts around 20 hours or high volume play on my radio which is great! Takes around 2 hours to fully charge back up but that’s nothing compared to others on the market.

Recently bought a dewalt leaf blower but only had 2Ah batteries with my drill. They lasted about 15-20 minutes on full power so I bought this 4Ah so that I could get the job done without battery change, works a treat. Fits the same XR charger and delivers 40 minutes use. Had been using my 2Ah Dewalt battery to power a small dust blower and found they lasted only 8-10 minutes, They also got very hot under the load. This 4Ah upgrade is excellent. Great value & really useful additio
A really good battery actually – which I expected but it’s always nice when it delivers. Good value and I’ve built up my own DeWalt set without buying all the bits no one uses.
I swap it between drill, cord saw etc. Its a bit clumsy on the drill but the saw goes for ages with it – so it suits high output tools.

arrived very quickly with half charge and works fine. was a little disconcerting to have it come out of the well packaged travel box to find that the main item had already been opened. fortunately there was no sign of use or tampering. 4AH maybe for small items but i get about 1 hours use from it on the dewalt circular saw.
I have always used dewalt and I keep adding to my collection. Although this purchase was due to some thief stealing my battery on a site in Shrewsbury. Obviously they can’t afford such luxurious items in that part of the country. These are priced very reasonable and delivered very prompt. Hopefully no more thieves out there stealing batteries to sell for their next fix of whatever it is they do these days? Plant food the last time I heard.

Although time will tell so far this has been fautless as you would expect from genuine Dewalt parts. I will shortly be risking some money on the 4 amp hr pattern battery so I can make a comparison as to whether saving at least a third is worth it. Never thought I’d ever pay 56 quid for a battery, but I think it’s worth it to have a genuine Dewalt unit rather than one of the clones that are out there. Has a really neat button at the back which displays how much charge is left. If this battery lasts as long as the ones on the older Dewalt drill I own, be just great. I plan to buy another one shortly.
Decent Battery
bought this for a dewalt circular saw I purchased as it was the cheapest one of its kind I could find. Only gives around twenty to thirty minutes power when used with the circular saw. I guess the saw uses more power than say a drill though. This is ok for me though as I only use the saw for quick tasks and if I only have five minutes or so of cutting than a ten minute charge is enough.
