After reading some of the reviews I still opted in to buy these GHD’s and I like how they glide through my hair and heat up super quick and a nice neat size. One happy customer 🙂
Silky Smooth
These straighteners glide through my hair with no drag at all. I thought I wasn’t pressing on hard enough but they left my hair perfectly smooth. Also great for a lose wave.

These are the best straighteners I’ve ever owned! The box they come in is lovely so great for a gift. The straightness have halved the time it takes me to do my hair.
Not as good quality as the Platinum straighteners, these Gold ones feel a bit lighter and more plastic-ey, but still do a fantastic job, and had I not had Platinum ones previously I would be fully content – these Gold are cheaper for this reason but the outcome on the hair is the same.
I have been recommended this product by my hairdresser, and i am very pleased with it.
I have been using GHD products for many years now and I have never been let down, they are very durable and very great design.
This specific straightener is very light and quite compact for these people that like me are travelling a lot. It comes with a very nice red velvet case but the very great surprise I had was the amazing lid in silicone that allows to put away the straightener without burning anything.
The improvement points, it is only connected with sustainability. I think a big company like GHD should offer an alternative and sustainable ways to dismiss broken/unused product.

Wanted to get one decent hair straightener and so happy to pay a higher price. I don’t use every day, but they work well and I like the rubber cover for the ends to stop them damaging the floor and useful to hold the two sections together when I put it away. Slides through the hair easily. Yes I recommend

As you expect with GHDs. They do a great job and are a noticeable upgrade from the originals. I got them on sale so value was great. Probably wouldn’t pay full price for them though as the originals are still great and a lot cheaper.
Fantastic
Well after years of not bothering I finally gave in and got some GHD straighteners. I’m really glad I did. My hair is smooth, shiny & straight. They didn’t pull or snag and are lightweight. They feel good quality and have delivered good quality results. I’m a fan!
My previous GHDs were a bit tired and pulling at my hair.
The Gold were on a good Amazon day offer so i got them. Lots better than my prior set.

I’ve been wanting a good pair of straighteners for about as long as I could remember, finally decided to bite the bullet as it were and go for a rather expensive brand. But, suffice to say I’m not in the slightest disappointed. Definitely a worthy investment.
Amazing quality!
I am really pleased with my purchase. I bought these hair straighteners because they are the ones I use in my gym and I noticed that there was a big difference from my old ones, the styling and the shine of my hair cannot be beaten. There is not temperature control in the straighteners, just the on-off switch, which is all I need. Highly recommended. Amazing quality hair straighteners, smooth transaction and prompt delivery. Not as good as I expected.
The lower inside end of the plate pulled an hair out. It’s not what you expect, hair snagging from ghd. I have course wavey hair and had to double pass with the straighteners in 3 sections. It’s disappointing as I have never had these problems with the Remington straighteners. Would not buy ghd’s again when these die.
I don’t usually have time to write many reviews but today I thought I would. Yesterday my trusty 11 year old Remington straighteners gave up the ghost and wouldn’t turn on any more. I’ve had them so long and I love them but had aways said to my husband if they died I would by some GHD’s to see what all the “fuss” was about.
To put this into context, I have naturally wavy messy shoulder length thick hair, that I have to either work hard on to curl properly or straighten. Hours go by each week where I’m sorting my hair out. My preference is for straight. I usually use my straighteners set at 210 degrees and this seems to keep my hair straight. I also use anti frizz serum from toni and guy.
So after watching hundreds of youtube reviews yesterday I was slightly worried that the 185 degrees heat setting that wasn’t changeable was going to be an issue. But in the end I decided to give them a go. Thank you amazon prime they where delivered today. Sleek stylish box, and when opened, the straighteners are situated in the box, similar to a brand new phone. They come with a silicone sleeve and instructions.
I plugged them in, switched them off, accompanied by the nice little tune. Started to pin my hair up to section it and boom they had heated up before I’ve even finished getting the clips set. Super quick. They’re slightly heavier and bigger than my Remington ones in my hand but not massively and very easy to hold. The fact the switch button is between the blades is a real bonus. Previously I was forever catching the on off switch or the temp gauge on my last set. First turn through my hair, and boy they glide. I can’t think of any other way to describe it, no pulling tugging or tension and my hair felt so silky and soft. I usually have to pull my hair through twice to get a good smooth finish, but not with these. First pass and lovely and straight. Only a couple of bits at the back I needed to pass through a few times, mainly because I couldn’t see I think. It took half the time of my Remington, and is much sleeker and straighter. So my reason for writing this review, is to say to anyone thinking the 185 degrees wont be enough to straighten your hair, as you usually use hotter, try these and hopefully you will be as surprised as I was!
