These feeders are good quality, and have a dish at the bottom to catch the seeds, which is great, and the birds can perch on the dish to feed too, like Robins and wrens, I have found these feeds very useful and I dont have to fill them as often thank you
Bought this for my father who is bedridden and he loves to watch the birds. It’s very elegant and sturdy and a good size for the hungry hoards that frequent his garden.
It’s great it stops the seed from spilling onto the floor, but unfortunately the larger birds, Jackdaws, pidgeons and so on can now land on the base throwing seed all over the place.
Absolutely awesome love it well worth the money because the Squirrel kept killing the feeders so this will last loads longer so saves money in the long run highly recommend especially if you have a squirrel problem
I’ve been searching for a sturdy enough large feeder with a large seed collector underneath as I am fed up with weeds growing underneath the feeders. Upon receipt I was worried that the four pieces that make up the seed catcher would be sturdy enough. I get large birds like Magpies, crows, pigeons and wood pigeons all coming to my feeders. I needn’t have been worried the interconnections actually makes the catcher even stronger. They are coping with the larger birds and the extra size means even fewer weeds!
It looks good & bonus if it stays rust free. Down side, the see though plastic isn’t as thick/strong as expected & the ‘sliders’ either side of lid have to be up in order to fill it, they slide dow
I took mine apart before use to check ease of separation for cleaning, it was a bit fiddly but okay. I greased the screws with tiny amount pf vaseline before reassembling which should make it easier to take apart for cleaning.
