Honestly didn’t want to pay the price for a real apple one so I was searching for ages trying to find the best one on Amazon and I can say this one is fab! Iv had 0 problems with it but I can’t complain with the price compared to apple, I haven’t had it for long but so far so good!
Why does anyone buy the original Apple version?!
I was skeptical at how well this would work given the low price, but shouldn’t have worried. It connected with absolutely no difficulty, attaches to the iPad securely and if anything is more reliable than the Apple Pencil that I used previously. Definitely worth considering for iPad users.
This Pencil is great for the price and comes with a case! 🤩
I own an iPad Pro 12.9″ 5th Gen. I also already own an official Apple Pencil 2. I ordered this one though to test it and see how it compares.
It comes in a lovely little case with three extra tips. The case is nice and lightweight, so it’s easy to carry it around.
The Pencil works by putting it on the magnet on your iPad. Then you pair it with Bluetooth. That’s it! It paired really easily!
It feels good in my hand. Very comfortable to hold!
It has most of the functionality of the official Apple Pencil except the ‘double tap’ feature that the official one has. It also doesn’t have pressure sensitivity but it has got tilt sensitivity . It also has palm rejection. The official Apple Pencil does charge quicker though.
I like to use silicone nib covers for my official Apple Pencil 2. I just like the way they feel, write and draw on the iPad screen. I also don’t like the tapping noises that the nib causes without the covers. My nib covers work perfectly well with the nibs on this pencil.
How this pencil differs from other third-party Apple Pencils is that it charges on your iPad like the official Apple Pencil. You don’t need a lead for it. Some people might like this feature but some might prefer to be able to charge it with a lead so you don’t have to depend on your iPad having enough charge.
I got a bit confused at first as I could not see the battery capacity of the pencil and if it was charging. This info wasn’t coming up on my iPad screen anywhere. I didn’t find the instructions very clear about it either. I finally realised that you need to use a battery widget to see the charging and battery capacity info. When I figured that out, I was thrilled. I put a battery widget on my iPad and I’m loving the pencil now! It also holds its charge well!
I contacted the seller for help initially and they were very responsive and helpful. This shows that the seller is there if you have any problems, which is good.
I think that unless you’re a digital artist that definitely needs the pressure sensitivity feature that the official Apple Pencil has, this is a very suitable replacement. It’s a quarter of the price of the official Apple Pencil one too. If you’re not an artist or you don’t need the pressure sensitivity feature, I don’t think that the extra cost of the official Apple Pencil is worth it.
I definitely recommend this pencil. It works well, connects to the iPad easily and charges easily. It’s great for the price and the case is great!
The official Apple Pencil does not come with a case!
Works the same as an ipencil!
I love this stylus, it does exactly what an ipencil does,
and my iPad thinks it’s an ipencil so it also charges it.
I have been using it to paint in Procreate and painted
the image attached following a YouTube video!
Just like a real Apple Pencil
This product is as good as a genuine Apple pencil and works just as well. In fact the iPad mini 6 that my grandson uses it for registers it as an Apple pencil. It is easy to use, holds a charge for a long time and the thing he likes best about it is that it is magnetic and sticks to the side of the iPad which makes it easy to find and to charge as it charges from a tab on the side of the iPad (as long as the iPad itself is charged). No external charger is necessary. There is a small instruction leaflet with it which is self explanatory. The product price isn’t listed at present but it’s probably a lot cheaper than the Apple version. Anyway, he’s very pleased with it.
Works with no issues
This pencil works fine with the iPad and was very easy to set up and it has most of the functionality of the apple pencil apart from the hover functions, but for the price i would not eppect to be 100% matching the Appple one, but saying that this works great and a lotter better than i thought it would and at a good price
Good alternative
Nice cheap alternative apple pencil.
Doesn’t charge magnetically but the usb-c connection charges it to full in a matter of minutes. It does adhere to the side of the iPad via magnets though.
It connected via Bluetooth without any messing around and was working right out of the box.
Handwriting to text works great.
When used with drawing apps it functions really well, tilt adjustment works well and it doesn’t create intermittent lines like some cheaper ones.
Weight and feel is good, not too light or plastic feeling, feels good in the hand.
For about 20% of the price of an apple pencil it’s a good alternative.
Stuck it on the top of my iPad , the iPad showed “Apple Pencil”. switched to Blue Tooth,
Selected the new “Pencil” that showed up, paired it and Voila it all worked.
I was most impressed with the neat little box, complete with THREE Yes 3! New Pencil Tips.
The instruction manual gave much needed entertainment with such gems as:
“Adsorption the pen onto the charging side”. A little too much use of a translating Thesaurus me-thinks!
The next Gem I am truly looking forwards to, for if a scan the QR code I am urged to:
“Extend your warranty FROM A LIFETIME WARRANTY”
This is especially relevant to me as 2 COSTLY genuine Apple Pens simply stopped playing days after their warranty had expired.
I am hoping for a Multi – Universe extension of the LIfetime Warranty
Though I will settle for an Inter – Galactic extension. 😉
In short a MUST BUY!
Pretty good
So I had no trouble pairing this to my iPad, and it seems to work as described.
Other pens that I’ve had in the past have some level of pressure sensitivity which this is lacking, however, tilt works if you need thicker or thinner lines.
It’s not an Apple Pen, but then again, it’s nowhere near as expensive, and does most of the same things.
Works great with the iPad Pro M2 11"
This pencil works great with the iPad Pro M2 11″ and it’s a fraction of the price of the official Apple Pencil.
While I’ve not used the official Apple Pencil and can’t say for sure what the differences are between it and this 3rd party pencil. This pencil would seem to have most of the functionality, except for certain hover functions.
The case is a nice touch for storage and the pencil also very conveniently charges as well. It also feels really comfortable between your fingers and feels quite robust.
The navigation functions, gestures and clicks, also work as expected and to my mind make the pencil a lot more useful than I’d initially thought it would be.
A good budget replacement for the original Apple stylus
This stylus pen for iPad Pro 12.9″6/5/4/3, iPad Pro 11″4/3/2/1, iPad Air 5/4, and iPad Mini 6 wirelessly charges when you attach it to the side of your iPad, with a real-time power display. It pairs easily via Bluetooth and has tilt sensitivity to make it easy to use different stroke angles and thicknesses. Palm rejection means you can touch the screen while using the stylus without issues. There are three additional nib tips provided in the pack, and a carrying case to protect it.
Digital creativity boos
In the world of artistic creation, this device enhances precision with flair. An almost telepathic connection with my iPad, it responded fluidly to the slightest pressure, every stroke recorded faithfully. The palm-rejection feature, a sheer treat, offered unrestrained creativity. It clings magnetically, power levels always visible. Its battery life, indeed, a marvel. Without a doubt, a worthy accessory for digital creators and note-takers alike.
Great alternative apple pencil with wireless charging
I use the stylus with the iPad pro 5th gen, mostly for taking notes. It works flawlessly, is a great alternative to the original Apple stylus, the prices of which are staggering, and yet everything really comes down to the functionality that this device cannot be denied. In my life, I would not spend as much money on such a gadget as Apple screams. This stylus is really sufficient for working with the iPad, and the magnetic function that the original has. Most people buy a case for their electronic devices anyway, so as not to damage them mechanically, so I just opted for a case with a built-in place for the stylus, which in my opinion is enough to prevent the possibility of losing it. The palm rejection function works flawlessly, it’s also great that the device does not need to be paired, just turn it on and it works right away. In this price class, the product is irreplaceable, if someone cares about functionality, not the logo of a specific brand 😉
Pencil Me I
What I like about this Pencil is how seamless it is as it dives right into the Apple Eco system as if deriving from the very creators themselves.
I have another Pencil which was also a big hit but will struggle to connect at times, this one simply does what its meant to do whether that be tilt function or docking to the side of the iPad to charge (No unsightly opening for USB in its sleek archetype).
Whats more to add to the already good value is a case to house the pencil as well as spare tips.
Works Well
This pen for my iPad works really well and it was super easy for me to connect / set up. I’ve not had any technical issues with it anyway. I like the pens size, it’s comfortable for me to hold and nice and lightweight too. It’s well made because it’s strong, sturdy and durable so won’t break easily. I am impressed with its functionality and the magnetic wireless charge feature is very handy too! It works really well to be fair and much better than I expected it to. I’m glad that replacement tips are included in with the pen and the carrying case as it makes it very good value for money. The pen has palm rejection and tilt sensitivity which are great features for my work on my iPad and the pen is just so easy for me to use. I definitely recommend this pen and give it a big thumbs up!
iPad Pencil 2nd Gen with Magnetic Wireless Charging
Works very well and after trying out all the functionality it seems to do everything the Apple Pencil does except the double tap feature. It connected to my iPad like an official version would and works well for drawing and writing, even with bad handwriting. The tilting works but does feel a little cumbersome and I couldn’t find a way to adjust settings for it. Scribble and “only draw with Apple Pencil” both work so you can lean on your iPad while using it if needed. Make sure you check that it is compatible with your iPad model, mine had a similar number but doesn’t have the magnetic charging which this needs to turn on. I managed to get it to work by using a different wireless charger to charge it, but have to do that every time I use it.
Exactly what I need
I needed a pencil for annotating PDFs and this fulfils the criteria perfectly. I don’t need it for drawing just for writing and annotating documents. My iPad recognises it as an Apple Pencil and I am impressed that it charges when attached to the iPad, as some have to be physically plugged in to charge. All in all very pleased with this purchase also it is much, much cheaper than the original Apple pencil and serves it purpose 100%
90% of the functionality at a much lower price
This alternative to Apple’s much more expensive pencil has 90% of its functionality at a much lower price. The main omissions here are pressure sensitivity and the ability to go from pen to eraser by tapping the pencil (which I’ve never found works all that well on the official pencil in any case!) Unlike a lot of other substitute styluses, it charges magnetically attached to the side of the iPad. It also arrives in a useful carrying case with 3 spare tips. I didn’t have any problem pairing with my iPad Air 4 (you need to unpair the official pencil first for this to work) and it feels very similar in use to the official version albeit slightly lighter. Battery life is pretty good and it recharges quickly.
Just can’t fault i
Used several Apple Pencil compatibles in the past all of which served well and for a fraction of the cost. What has surprised me with this offering from Huobao is that it is recognised by my iPad Pro 11″ as an Official Apple Pencilnot saying it is but the components must be as close a match as it. Simple pairing, out of the box and attach to your iPad and its time to get creative.
Drawing and writing is smooth, pencil feels very natural in the your hand and is not impacted by palm touch however unlike an official pencil there is no pressure sensor, so you only have the option for tilting to get a desired thicker line in your apps.
The case is handy for travel storage where you don’t want to risk the pencil becoming detached from your iPad during transit, the 3 additional tips are also a nice inclusion to save on a further future purchase when required.
Excellent Apple Pencil alternative which will give long service at a fraction of the official versions cost.
STYLUS PENCIL
Arrived in a lovely retail box which is made to a very high standard. This could wrap up as a fantastic gift for someone who has an iPad. The pencil looks just like the official 2nd gen one just without the logo and has a magnetic attachment. Comes complete with 3 tips for use and has all the built in features from Palm Rejection, tilt assist and pressure sensitivity. Comes in the lovely white colour which links in with all the colours and works with all models from 2018 to 2023. Very happy overall and set at a huge saving compared to the official ones

Sharp Pencil
In market awash with off brand Apple pencils this one is king.
It comes nicely packaged in a little box with additional nibs.
But that isn’t the best of it.
It pairs instantly when you magnetically attaches to your recent vintage iPad – which is how it charges. It recognises it as an actual apple pencil too, so no switching off Apple pencil and pairing, it just starts straight up.
I’ve found that using the pencil – that it is pretty much as good as the branded article.
It is very good indeed for the price. I’m not sure what you get for your other 100. Maybe someone can enlighten me, because i can’t see it.
A good stylus pen, compatible with multiple different iPads.
This stylus pen is ideal for anybody that does design work, whether professionally, or as a hobby.
From a full charge, you’re able to get around 10 hours of use, so you’re able to get a fair amount of use before it needs recharging.
I find it easy to hold and use, with it being comfortable to use for extended periods of time. It’s also responsive and has good tilt sensitivity.
All in all, it’s a good stylus pen, compatible with multiple different iPads.
Shenanigans afoo
As far as third party items go this pencil is a bit cheeky as it presents itself to the iPad as the genuine item hence why the Apple Pencil image appears on the iPad screen when attached. It’s much cheaper than the genuine item but not quite as good with the pressure sensitivity as the real thing. It’s slightly above average price wise for others that have the same features or more in cases so I’m not sure i would buy i
Recognised as the official pencil
Great functionality for a fraction of the official price, this is a great alternative for everyone apart from artists. The differences between this and the official one are that there is no pressure sensitivity only tilt and you don’t have the double tap function to change tools.
I have found that the magnetic charging is the main convenient option and that it uses the official tips. Other third party pens have to be manually charged and can only be used until the provided tips finish as you cannot buy them separately.
The tip look very slightly off centre when you screw it in but this is a very small detail and does not affect the usability of this. The build quality feels different also and can tell that this is where the costs have been cut. Comfortable to hold and use and very functional for the price!
