I recently bought 2 tiny spider plants, one for myself and one for an elderly neighbour friend of mine. They were growing at a rate of knots and very soon needed larger pots. I bought these, one each, to transplant the spider plants into and they look fantastic and make life so much easier when it comes to watering household plants. I chose the grey coloured pots as I didn’t want the pot to detract from the plants and they look really beautiful. Watering couldn’t be easier you just watch the water reduce in the bottom pot and when it does water the plant and watch the water drip into the bottom pot then the strands of material take over from there, simple! I’m not sure the pots would be strong enough to take an heavy weight plant as I think the plastic would crack under the weight but for starter plants and small lightweight plants these are brilliant and look very classy and not plastic like at all. By the way if you’re a spider plant fan you might like to know that they do much better using rain water than tap water. Would happily buy these again if needed oh and my 84 yr old neighbour is thrilled with hers and finds it very simple to water.
These are lovely quality planters for the low price.
They are easy to assemble with clear instructions for the self watering feature.
They are very light plastic but look like glass.

These are brilliant so much so I brought another two as you can see my pothos are loving them, they were easy to put together, and can be hung up or just stood on counters,easy to refill with water, definitely a brilliant buy.
You get 2 in the package and they are well packed.
They can be used stand alone or hanging using the supplied metal chains.
Both the inner and outer pots are quite thin plastic but seem robust enough.
The green pots are transparent so you can see the water level.
These self water using 2 wicks and seem to help keep the compost moist.
Overall at 13 quid for 2 these are good value

These pots are so cute! They can be used freestanding or hanging, which is ideal for my tropical collections of plants, and I’ve got a lot of plants!
The only negative – why oh why make them so flimsy? I’m sure the roots on my plants would crack the inner pot – only time will tell.
If they were more robust, I’d buy several hundred of them – I hope the manufacturers are reading this!

My first use of a self watering pot, follow the instructions and see it water itself.
Comes in different colours but I think green the one I ordered is the nicest looking ones. Comes with hooks and chains to attach it to something, but remember to buy something to be attached to your wall / ceiling.
Really pretty hanging self-watering planters. A good size and very simple to assemble and use. I know they will fade in the sun, but I am sure they will still fit the purpose and work well.
