Kilner 3 L Square Glass Fridge Dispense

The idea of this dispenser was perfect for my intended use of storing draught still cider in the fridge, but two rather negative reviews mentioning “cheap lid”, “flimsy lid” and “leakages” etc., nearly put me off, but not quite.
Sure, the aluminium lid is a bit thin, but the rim and tap seals are perfectly adequate. Seals only work when you tighten the two opposing pieces – ask any plumber! On one refill, I forgot to check the tightness of the nut behind the tap and when the jar was horizontal, there was a slight leak, BUT THAT WAS MY FAULT.
Taking care to twist the lid on properly is a knack which also needs some practise – clearly your other reviewers hadn’t done their job properly.
