I’ve bought this psu after upgrading my PC with Radeon 6800xt and R7 5700x. My previous 650w psu was lacking in power for my needs. My previous experience was a loud coil whine, laggy gaming when watching youtube and twitch on a 2nd monitor. This MSI 1000w psu gave my PC a huge boost in performance and in quality of work. MSI MPG A1000G was my choice when choosing a new psu due to the new PCIE5 port, this will make my life easier in few years when I will decide to change my gpu for a new model. Overall, my experience with this psu is excellent. Cables ain’t too stiff and the length is good even for a larger cases. Also the zero rpm mode is good but not necessary as psu is quite even with the mode off.

Taking the PSU out of the box, you can already feel that’s it’s made from quality materials. Plenty of spare nicely organised cables included for use with your PC, and it even has a silent mode, which is ideal for enthusiasts who are concerned about the dB level of their machines.

The included 12V cables/port makes future proofing easier, as well as the 1000W of power that it can supply. I was close to the power limit with my old PSU, but this gives me some headroom if I want to use beefier components.

With a 10 year warranty, can’t go wrong for the price. Would recommend.

First unit received had unknown fault – wouldn’t power up. Replacement requested (which came the very next day) and installed. Using just the leads you require keeps clutter to minimum. Fitted into upgrade with Z690-A mobo and RTX 2080 super. DDR5 ram installed. MAG A750 runs whisper quiet – not given a hard run yet though.

It operates with exceptional efficiency, reducing power consumption and heat generation while maintaining rock-solid stability. The reduced energy consumption is not only environmentally friendly but also results in lower electricity bills in the long run.

    Design and Build Quality: (5/5)

MSI has outdone itself with the design and build quality of the A1000G. The sleek black exterior and RGB lighting accents give it a premium and aesthetic look, making it a great addition to any gaming setup. Furthermore, the modular cable design simplifies cable management and customization, ensuring a clean and clutter-free interior.

    Silent Operation: (5/5)

One of the standout features of this PSU is its incredibly quiet operation. The fan only kicks in when needed, and even under heavy loads, it remains virtually silent. This is a significant advantage for those who prefer a quiet computing environment.

    Safety and Protection: (5/5)

Safety is paramount when it comes to power supplies, and the A1000G doesn’t cut any corners. It offers comprehensive protection features, including overvoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection, ensuring the safety of your components.

Brilliant power supply – does exactly what it says on the tin. All the necessary cables are included, as well as the new 12VHPWR cable used by the latest Nvidia GPUs, which has yellow connectors to help ensure you insert it correctly. Very happy with my purchase.

I much prefer this style of power supply, which comes with a large pack of cables to choose from and sockets on the unit to connect them into. It really is plug and play, and you only need to install those required. The alternative is a unit with all the cables permanently wired in, whether you need them or not.

The cables are delivered in a custom designed pouch so you can store those unused in case they are required later.

I bought this as an upgrade when fitting a new graphics card – the old PSU didn’t have the right connections and wasn’t quite powerful enough. Fairly straightforward swapout – just make sure you make a note or take pictures of the old connections before you remove them.

The bundle of cables that come with the power supply are pretty comprehensive and having the native 12vhpwr ATX 3 makes it feel a whole bunch safer to use with an rtx card than the alternative multiple merged pcie connectors of most other power supplies.

Quality seems great, absolutely no complaints at all, can only recommend.

Runs super quiet even when the PC under load, runs a Ryzen 7600 and RC 6800XT machine with no issues. It should be noted that unlike the 850W version, this PSU doesnt have an eco button to allow you to manually switch off the fan, but I dont see this as an issue as the fan is superquiet.

This is replacing my older coolermaster having upgraded to a 3090 and it not being to handle it. A lot of my components are MSI and I have always had good experiences with them and this PSU is no different. Good internal components from a reputable brand with a good warranty length. it comes with the new connection type for future graphics card which is a bonus. its very quiet and easy to install. My only gripe would be the cables. I know flat cables are easier to pack behind the rear panel but at this point they feel a little cheap and braided ones would have been a nice perk. ocerall very happy and would highly recommend.

Ignoring the Gold energy efficiency (which has nothing to do with quality or reliability), this unit is one of the better quality, more dependable examples, and should last many years without component issues.

Great source, excellent value for money, very robust and silent, the cables are thick and appear to be of good quality, a great choice for anyone who wants to enter ANTX 3.0 + PCI Ex5, and of course with a 10-year warranty

Way more efficient as it is PCIE5, includes the one cable with no splitter to plug into your GPU to give you a nice clean look, very easy to plug in and plug out, perfect wattage for my build ( Ryzen 9 7900x and 4070 ti)

Been using this PSU for the past four months in my new built with 7800X3D and RTX 4090. It’s been absolute rock solid stability and not had a single issue or crash from power instability. The native ATX 3.0 cable allows for a clean build without the need for adaptors. The fan is also silent even whilst gaming. The cables are very flexible and individually sleeved making them easy to route around the case. Since its completely modular, I can just plug in what I need to keep cable management to a minimum. It also comes with a 10 year warranty which provides peace of mind and it can be moved over to the next build as well.

The only downside is the price which is slightly on the expensive side. But if you are looking for a high wattage premium quality platinum power supply, I will recommend this MSI MEG Ai 1300P.

seen some reviews for this power supply and ended up replacing my old 850w pcie 5.0 for this one just because i could trust msi’s build quality and warranty more than the others. this psu ive installed it very easy btw no issues not really much else to say great quality psu great warranty great size great cables that another the cables are very good there’s sleeved and non sleeved also comes with a kettle lead which my old psu did not very happy with this purchase

I bought this PSU together with a new graphics card. It’s really too much for my current pc but power supplies are a component that can last years and carry over into multiple builds. The modular leads are labelled and it only took me a moment looking at the locking tabs to identify which end went into the PSU. I can’t imagine why they make the 24 pin motherboard and 8 pin cpu connectors modular since they’ll always be required but that’s the way they are. Plenty of cables for anything, including molex (presumably to power fan hubs) and multiple pcie plus an nvidia 12 pin that’ll save using adaptors. Very quiet in operation with a switch to turn off the fan at low loads.

it’s a 1000Watts that you can make zero noise with. it’s worth a buy yes. I won’t run super mega PC and GPU but it runs my 2060 and I7 just fine! and has some room to upgrade on my rig too. they offer higher watts but I feel right now I only need 1000, was easy to install, everything you needed was in the lovely little bag with cables, and everything was very well packed couldn’t have asked for anything better if 1000 watts is what you need its good for the price! the zero noise button is cool but i will be keeping it on as it really dont make any to no noise anyways 🙂

My old power supply died an ax850 from corsair lasted me about 12 years, so had to buy a new psu to fix my PC
saw this MSI was a good price has a lot of new things like PCIE5, which includes a +12VHPWR 600w cable for newer GPUs so, in time for me when I get a new gfx card this will be good.
Using this MSI MPG PSU it is very good it does not make a lot of noise if any at all so thats a plus has a small footprint to fit into a case very Compact for its size aslo the 12 volt rail on this is high so thats good it is a quality unit built by CWT.
The cable connections could be better the mobo atx cable could be made not flat as I had to twist it to get it into point on the mobo.
I say msi should make all the cables not flat as they are very wide and a bit hard to get around things in a case.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe power supply works well and is very quiet, the auto fan stop works great and won’t kick in unless I’m really pushing my 3080 and 7900x and even when it does, the bearing design is good with no annoying noises, you will hear other things in your system before you hear this.

Wanted a new PSU that has the new 12VHPWR connector for the future, with the current cashback offer of 20 back that will make this power supply 120, 5 cheaper than corsairs refresh of the RM850E at 125 which also includes the new cable. However the E line from corsair does not use japanese caps, has a shorter 7 year warranty and have seen many complaints of the fan constantly stopping and starting with even low load applied and horrible bearing noise from the fan.

This power supply is more akin to the RM850(x) lineup, with a highly quality caps, made by a good ODM with a solid record and a 10 year warranty, if you can get it right now with the cashback it’s absolutely worth it, at 140 it’s pretty close to corsair’s high end stuff so I may look there instead, just depends on current pricing.

It also includes a 12VHPWR PSU side to 2×8 pin PCIe cable so you can use that for clean cable management instead of running two separate 8 pins if you don’t have a 12VHPWR GPU yet. I fully expect all high end GPU’s to move over to the new standard in the future so I’m happy my power supply is ready for it when I upgrade in a few years.
