MSI Radeon Gaming Graphics Card

TORX FAN 4.0 is based on teamwork, with two fan blade pairs connected to a linked outer ring design that focuses airflow into the updated TRI Frozr two-cooling system. Core Pipes are precisely manufactured heat pipes, with the aim of ensuring maximum contact with the GPU. This distributes heat across the entire heat sink, allowing efficient cooling of the entire graphics card. Stay hidden with the airflow control, which improves airflow dynamics. Deflectors provide extra surface area and direct air to where it is needed for maximum cooling. Wave-curved 2.0 slat edges interfere with undesirable harmonics of the airflow and lead to less noise.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersyeah got nothing bad to say other than hope it will last me a good while before I have to upgrade again
it powers on ok, it does require pcie 6 or 8pin (detachable 2-pins) but am really happy about this gpu

I bought this after my nvidia 970 died on me, this gpu is amazing, runs most high powered games with ease (not really a gamer gamer so haven’t tested it on games like fortnight etc) but it’s absolutely amazing. The only con is that the drivers need constantly updated in the AMD app, like every week but apart from that I’m happy I purchased it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe upgrade process was easy, as I had a RX 570 I removed the card in device manager and installed the new RX6650. Adrenalin said there was an update, after this adrenalin update I was good to go. The fans a Whisper quiet until I game hard even then they are just heard in the background. I play older AAA titles and this GPU paired with my Ryzen 5 3600 is amazing. I play at 1920×1200. I love the RGB on the card. It only takes one 8pin power connector. My rx570 needed 2 8pin power connectors. I have enabled smart access memory which has given a 5 to 10% boost in FPS. Overall I’m really happy with this GPU.

Coming from an Nvidia 1070, I didn’t expect this to be so good and such good value for money (as much as you can get in 2023). Absolutely mopping the floor with the best 4060ti (based on online reviews) at lower price, and very close to a 4070 (not considering raytracing). Very quiet, cool, and fans stop when not doing much. The one weakness is ray tracing where it’s at least 50% slower than an equivalent Nvidia card. Not a big deal for me though

Gpu is unbelievable value for money along with the 6700xt, the fans keep it cool but is quite and looks cool in the case (obviously no RGB but i like that).

Runs most games at 1440p 60fps comfortably and i have it paired with a 5600 cpu.

Better and cheaper than NVIDIA alternatives.

Card is big so make sure it fits in your case.

Very happy with this GPU. The anti sag bracket is good but there was still a degree of sag with it installed so I’ve used the Lancool motherboard anti sag system which came with my case (216) instead which maintains a perfect straight line. I read the other recent review about the missing Starfield code however, having looked into this, this particular product isn’t in that promotion. Items that are are clearly labelled so on Amazon.

What an amazing budget graphics card this is, I play on very high settings on spiderman miles morales, averaging 79 fps and playing Fortnite over 120 fps max graphics. This card can really give you some fantastic performance at high settings for the price point and honestly it doesn’t disappoint. Gta 5 also performs really well and i do get over 100 fps on that aswell. My cpu is the amd ryzen 5600g and it does perform well with this card, if i was you I’d go for the for the 5600x as it performs better with this card. If you do have cpu like the 5600g then please do go for the 6650xt, it’s a better than the rtx 3060 and it does almost beat the big brother rtx 3060 ti.

Overall, an amazing purchase and I do recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe Rx6800 is a solid gpu. Only 10% slower than the much more expensive Rx6800x but about 40% cheaper it’s a sleeper bargain of a graphics card.

Its an excellent gpu for 4k use. I regularly game at 4k 120hz with this card. Even in starfield it can comfortably achieve 60fps at 4k ultra. Fan noise can be intrusive, but there is the chill mode which drops the fps in low action scenes, which usually means quiet operation, indeed the fans turn off when activity is low. Msi have fitted a three fan heavy cooler which allows this card to cool passively most of the time even during gaming (when chill mode is active) on less intense scenes.

Power consumption is likewise modest, though you need three psu connections, one can be a paired or split cable so you only need two psu side sockets.

MSI provide a seperate metal support bracket, which I found was a good idea to use as the card is long and heavy, especially with the massive cooler they have used.

Installation generally was straightforward, but for my pc case I had to do some major alterations due to the card length. This is because one of the drive caddies had to be removed to allow for the three fan cards length. The card itself was simple enough to fit, though you need to fit the bracket as well which relies on expansion card fitting screws to hold in place, so on smaller cases with limited expansion ports the bracket might not be use able.

Big negative score for amazon though. This card was suppose to come with a free starfield licence, according to amd it was included in the promotion, but amazon never sent the code despite calls to their unhelpful ‘customer care’ line. It’s clear that amazon is not the company it once was now Jeff bezos has retired and customers are not the priority they once were sadly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have a gaming PC but my graphics card is from an old PC (Nvidia GTX 970) so games like call of duty mw2 the bigger maps I’ll get 40-60 FPS, I originally wanted to go for a Nvidia 4070, 3080 as people rave about those cards alot and you don’t hear much with AMD Radeon. After some research and finding I could get an AMD equivalent card for 100 less I went for it.

I have a 2k 144hz HDR gaming monitor and used display port. Most games I run on high at 2k. I would definitely recommend this graphics card for people like me who casually game and do some online competitive games at 2k. If you wanted to run games at 4k but 120fps then you would need something higher end but a monitor/TV with that spec would cost you alot.

Fallout 76 runs between 30-75 FPS outside, maybe it would be better on an Nvidia equivalent. I was very worried that Starfield would run alot worse, considering even the Xbox One X is capped at 30 fps. However Starfield runs very nice between 45-75 FPS.

It used to be the case that 400 would get you the very best graphics card but now 400 is mid range with some cards costing 900-1500.

One thing is this card changes in sound, when I play games or move in menus. I don’t think it’s a fault just strange if I move menu I can hear it change, it might be the fan but never noticed it before. It’s definitely a great card.

COD MW2 in quick play I’ll get 120-144fps
Warzone Al Mazera I’ll get 80 fps
    Watch Dogs Legion 90-110 FPS
    Starfield 45-70 FPS.
    Destiny 2 144 FPS
    Apex legends 144 FPS
Halo Infinite 120-144 FPS if I remember
Half life Alyx VR I don’t know the FPS but it feels 90+
Medal of honour above and beyond VR (a demanding game I think 80 FPS+
Fallout 76 (this is a buggy and badly optimised game IMO) 30-70 FPS outside and 120-144 FPS indoor.

This gpu is great it comes with an anti sag bracket and is quiet also if you download msi center you can use this thing call fan boost where if after a gpu intensive program game you can use this to do full fann boost for 30 seconds and instantly cools down. The quality is also tip top condition also has warranty if anyone wondering.

Works perfectly out of the box, fantastic for 1080p gaming even though it supports 1440p gaming as well. I get over 100fps in pretty much every game I play. Highly recommend this card to someone that’s looking for a fantastic budget graphics card

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHaving built my own pc I thought using the built in gpu of the ryzen 5600G would be fine but only getting 25 fps in doom eternal on medium settings at 1440p was not for me and as I only game when I’m bored I decided to purchase this amd msi rx6650xt and it’s not the greatest card but at high settings I’m now getting a solid 75+fps in doom eternal and even better in shadow of the tombraider which is so smooth and the images look sharp and very detailed.. purchased on prime sale week and saved 50 and was given free copy of starfield when it is released.. more than happy..

Been running an old GTX 1060 for ages, and finally upgraded my GPU to this… wow it’s good. Using with a widescreen 1440p monitor and it’s amazing. High and stable frame rates in games, plenty of memory to last a good while and it was plug and play (with linux).

I really recommend this card to you. Seriously great value GPU.

According to online reviews this card should struggle to run solitaire or minesweeper. Perhaps I’m getting old (my last console was a PS3) but I’m amazed by the 3D capabilities of ‘entry level’ these days.

This card has replaced a GT1030 (DDR5) in my 12th gen Intel i5 system as I wanted something with a Displayport output. Small ITX case with limited ventilation and only a 500W PSU so wanted to keep heat and power consumption to a minimum. I don’t game very much these days, but enough that I want more than an iGPU can offer, so I was pleased to see that 3D Mark scores and FPS in things like GTA V increased by about 3x vs the GT1030. Easily gets 60fps at 1080p in my existing (admittedly old) game collection, which is all my monitor can deal with, so anything faster would be wasted. I’m aware it would struggle more with newer titles.

Idle power consumption is insanely low and it’s been very quiet. Even when gaming it sits at about 50W. Given that low profile variants of this card exist, I was surprised that it has a dual slot cooler, but not an issue for my case.

I’m aware this lacks video encoding, but my i5 has an iGPU, so can enable ‘quicksync’ to mitgate that. My system is also PCIE 4.0 as I read this card is limited in PCIE 3.0 systems.

In summary, very good for my use case. If you game a lot though, the RX6600 (or 6650XT) provides more than double the power for less than twice the price, hence 4* for value.

No crashes so far, but has only been a day or two. I just installed the bare drivers, not all of the ‘adrenalin’ stuff. Also don’t bother with ‘MSI Centre’ – that’s just 0.5gb of bloat.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMost graphics cards are overpriced nowadays, I got this on prime day. I recommend waiting for similar prices if you can wait, also Amazon are useless with their promotions.

Now for the actual card, I upgraded from a GTX 1050ti so the difference is night and day it is RDNA 2 so won’t get too many new features like the 7000 series will get. The card is good for 1080p with high settings which is all my monitor can output anyway. Well above 60fps in games.

Hopefully new buyers don’t have issues getting the Starfield bundle from Amazon because the customer service might as well be a laggy AI with the time and quality of it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersMine arrived today. Upgraded from a 1070 which was showing it’s age. Don’t be fooled by the reviews that advertise this as a 1080 or 1440p card only I’ve just tested Elden Ring, Nioh 2 and Fallout 4 at 4k with either medium or high settings and got a decent 60fps for all. It’s not a 4K ultra settings card and would struggle at 4K with some games but it’ll run pretty much everything pre-2020 and a lot of recent stuff at 4K.
Ray tracing seems to out of the question though but even the most expensive cards still struggle with that. Overall seems like a great upgrade, was easy to install, feels sturdy, has maxed out at 75 degrees which is fine at full load and has impressed me with it’s performance.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis card works great with most games that are from a few years ago but doesn’t really work that well with recent games as they have to be ran at low or don’t run well at all (only game I’ve been able to test is Spider-Man miles morales and have to run It at low to get a usable experience) if you’re looking to play fortnite at competitive settings it runs at around 120~130+ish but does dip here and there to around 90ish but runs just as well as an Xbox series s maybe even better due to finding stuttering on the series s recently.

THIS CARD DOESN’T RUN VR GAMES
I tried to play a game or two but to no success as I found out the card doesn’t have a video encoder, so there’s no way to play games on it in vr at all, or even stream games aswell I think?

All around a great budget card but doesn’t do vr which is the reason I brought it, but I’ve had it for a little under a year and it’s so far been brilliant so I would definitely recommend on a budge

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI know that AMD cards get some knocking versus nVidia but in this case I am pleasantly surprised.

Firstly, it looks the business. It’s big, don’t underestimate that, this is a long card with 3 Frozr fans and it’s quite deep too, so bear in mind case clearance.

Easy to install, simple plug and play with a PCI-e x16 slot.

Driver install was simple enough and the Adrenalin drivers actually seem to be perfectly functional, which is where AMD normally get slaughtered.

Performance wise, it’s actually really good. For around 50 less than what I paid for a RTX 3060ti it actually out performs that nVidia card in nearly every test and game. Almost performing as well as the 3070 in some instances, which is around 100 more expensive.

I am really quite taken with this card and it’s a massive upgrade from the GTX 1070 that my son was previously running in his gaming PC.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT GAMING X TRIO 12G GPU is based on the RDNA 2 architecture and is manufactured using the advanced 7nm process technology. This means you get some serious horsepower under the hood, and the card can handle most demanding games and applications.

One thing I love about this graphics card is the GPU support arm that come free with the product (see pic), GPUs of this size definitely need one. The RGB lighting also adds a cool touch to your setup and can be customised to match your other RGB components.

The card also comes with good connectivity options; three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1 port, which support up to 8K resolution. With 12GB of GDDR6, you won’t have to worry about running out of memory anytime soon.

I’ve paired this with the i5-12400 and it works really well, the only negative I have is that is does get quite hot (like most GPUs) so you do have to have decent airflow.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI recently purchased the MSI Radeon RX 6600 MECH 2X 8G Gaming Graphics Card and have been using it for a few weeks now. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this product and would rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Firstly, the card performs well and runs games smoothly without any lag or stuttering. The 8GB GDDR6 and 2491 MHz clock speed provide a good amount of power, allowing for a seamless gaming experience. Additionally, the card supports 4K and 8K resolution, which is a great feature for those with high-end displays.

However, I did run into some issues with the card’s cooling system. The fans were quite loud and often ran at high speeds, even during less demanding tasks. This was quite frustrating as it made the card more noticeable and took away from the overall gaming experience. Additionally, I found that the card ran quite hot at times, which is not ideal for long-term use.

Another issue I had with the card was its size. The MECH 2X takes up quite a bit of space in my PC and required me to rearrange some components to fit it in properly. This may not be an issue for those with larger cases, but for those with more compact builds, it could pose a problem.

Overall, I think the MSI Radeon RX 6600 MECH 2X 8G Gaming Graphics Card is a decent option for those looking for a mid-range graphics card. While it does have some drawbacks, such as its loud fans and large size, its performance and support for high-resolution displays make it a solid choice for gaming.
