We’ve got one of those large temporary pools, 12ft diameter etc, at our holiday home. Every time I put it up there’s another small hole from a stone or something. I’ve just patched them up on arrival and they’re all holding well.
Nice and easy to do, no real mess and the patches are transparent so you can’t even see them. Perfect.

You get a tube of glue (60 ml) and patches of different sizes. This is primarily designed to be used for repairing PVC items such as paddling pools, PVC waterproof clothes, beach balls and inflatable toys. Full instructions are supplied on the box enabling you to repair and patch up any PVC, rubber and other similar materials

With three kids, a cat and a dog usually any inflatable we have in the garden doesn’t last too long. Bought this as a ‘just in case’ rather than a ‘need it right now’ and of course in the weeks that have passed I haven’t had a chance to use it for anything. I did use a large patch of the vinyl to repair the arm on my office chair however I struggled to get it looking neat and in the end covered with some duct tape instead. Seems simple enough to use and is more about the repair factor than looking neat and tidy I feel. Hopefully the glue doesn’t dry out now I’ve opened it for when and if I do need to do a patch on the pool or whatever.

Comes with everything you need. Easy to follow instructions also included. Works brilliant. Patched up our kids pool and no air is going out anymore. Great set and easy to use.

This is a great bit of kit to have on standby for the summer. The is easy to use repair kit managed to cover a mouse hole and give us one more summer of our paddling pool. It was used on one of the blow up edges, I’m not sure that it will necessarily survive over the winter in a shed, but time will tell. So far it has held up under pressure. We made sure that the surfaces were clean and free from grease and it has stuck well.

Vinyl is not an easy material to repair. However, I found this Paistely Pool Patch Repair Kit an effective product for repairing Vinyl damage. It is reasonably straightforward to use.

The instructions are clear enough but you may find it helpful if I outline my own method & cautionary comments:
    * If not immediately apparent, identify point of damage/puncture, in a similar way to finding puncture in a bicycle tube: soapy water & partial inflation, spot bubbles emerging from puncture.
    * Select patch &, if appropriate, cut to size.
    * Clean & dry area to be patched.
    * Open Vinyl glue/sealant tube, apply to area to be patched & to patch, then immediately clean glue tube nozzle & cap & reseal tube (or remaining glue in tube will begin to cure).
    * Spread glue evenly (clean lollypop stick ideal as spreader).
    * Apply patch & squeeze into close contact with area being patched (clamp or weight) for 48hrs, but beware pressing glue through the damage/puncture on nearside of air pocket in item being repaired onto opposite side of the air chamber, or you may glue those opposite sides of the air chamber together!
    * After 48hrs, check that there is no remaining leakage from air chamber (similar procedure to first step above).
    * Be aware that, even with cap firmly screwed back on the tube, the air admitted when cap was off to dispense glue can start it hardening, & heat will speed hardening. So, best seal the firmly closed Paistley Vinyl Repair Kit glue in a clamped-shut plastic bag in your fridge until next needed.

    Hope that helps.

This kit is really easy to use and it fixes all kinds of inflatables, like hot tubs and inflatable spa pools. One thing I love about this repair kit is that it’s waterproof. So even if I accidentally splash water on it, it won’t get ruined. It’s also salt-resistant, which is great if you have a saltwater pool or live near the ocean. The hot water resistance is a big plus too. I don’t have to worry about the repairs coming off when I use hot water in my hot tub.The kit comes with everything I need to fix my inflatables. There are patches and glue that work really well together. The instructions are simple to follow, even for someone like me who’s not very handy.I highly recommend it if you need to repair your hot tub, inflatable spa pool, or any other inflatable.

This tube of repair glue and patches is pretty good value for the amount of glue you get and a good and cheaper alternative to the usual glue I purchase for repairing inflatable products. We have an hot tub, paddling pools, various inflatable pool toys and this glue has done a top job in repairing several punctures in our hot tub (caused last year when we packed it away it must have got caught on some of our brick and concrete flower beds)
We inflated the hot tub and then sprayed a water and dish soap mixture around the hot tub to locate the punctures which makes the mixture bubble up. Then you simply mark the location of the punctures and dry off the area. Cut one of the patches to suit which are flexible and mould to the shape of the inflatables really well unlike the self adhesive patches you can get (which often fail).
Deflate the hot tub reducing the pressure on the puncture and then apply some glue to the patch and puncture working the glue into the puncture then leave it to dry and cure for a period of 48hrs.
I find applying a drop of water to my finger and smoothing over the glue helps to even the repair out and helps to cure the upper layer of glue.
The pack says to put a heavy weight onto the repair but I found I didn’t need to do this.
Once I’d let the repair dry I inflated the hot tub and checked the repairs with spray and every repair was fine and has been holding perfectly since.
For the price I can definitely recommend this repair kit.
I also have a little tip for you to store the glue ready for your next repair as I found out that the glue can harden inside the tube after opening when I first started to use these type of repair glues.
Store this inside a refrigerator which helps to keep the glue ready for the next repair. When you need to use it, allow the glue to come back to room temperature and you’ll notice the tube go from hard to soft meaning the glue is ready.
Make sure you clean any residual glue off the screw cap too as the cap can glue tight to the tube if it’s not clean.
Overall a very good value repair kit with a nice amount of glue and patches that can be cut to size.

It is the season to be repairing paddling pools. This week I have applied successfully 5 patches with this kit, 2 ‘outside’ patches on an inflatable slide, and 3 underwater inside patches. I did have a couple of non-successful patch attempts. Overall the kit works and all the holes are currently patched.

I find the spreader to be useless. It just left fluff in the glue.

The tube of glue is a decent volume, it should last the season. There are a couple of smaller round patches, and several large patches. The patches are easy to cut with scissors.

The vinyl patches I think are a little thin. Not that they aren’t up to the job, but, when the glue is applied to them, it will start to dissolve the patch, this is the way solvent glues work. However with these patches after about 5 seconds they start to curl. It would be a lot easier if they were a little thicker/stiffer so that the curl was less.

First off I started trying to patch a paddling pool which has an integrated blow up slide. Unfortunately it has a bit of a design flaw (IMO) in that the manufacturers tried to put in some creases for aesthetics, and in the sun these have un-welded. This makes gluing them quite difficult too, as the patch has to cover the crease. So I used the spreader on one of the smaller round patches, ended up with fluff on the patch. As I used the spreader, the amount of glue was quite thin. The patch didn’t really adhere due to this, and the crease. It did peel off quite easily too, but it might also have been because there was a little dampness too. I then tried again with a lot more glue on a new patch. This has held well.

A second crease failed on the same inflatable, and pretty much the same process occurred. I have come to the conclusion that the spreader just isn’t worth trying.

The next set of patches, I found three holes in our over-ground pool liner. This was of course, after having filled it with water. I used the large patches and cut them up. I poured out the glue on to the patch such that it was about 1mm thick. The tube has a nice metal nozzle which allows one to easily dispense it. After a few seconds on the patch, the surface starts to absorb the glue and it will curl, so make sure you have a method of getting the lid on whilst holding the patch down. I could then place the patch over my finger and guide it underwater to the hole and press it in place. Then with a second finger I could spread the patch until it was flat. The pressure of the water itself keeps the patch in place mostly whilst it dries.

One of the patches pictured doesn’t look great, but it is holding water about 2 foot below the surface, that is the important thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars The glue and patches work. Can even be applied underwate

This was provided by the Amazon Vine Program.

The box comes with a big tube of sealant/glue and some vinyl sheets and circular patches to provide a good bond and protective seal to holes on pools and other inflatables. You may get away with using this on bike inner tubes.

There is also a furry ball on a metal wound stick im assuming is for cleaning/drying the area.
