Peckish 60051228 Secret Garden Dining Station for Wild Bird, 6 x 20 x 80 cm

Peckish Secret Garden Dining Station

It is important to feed wild birds all year round. Peckish Secret Garden Dining Station has 10 feeder hooks to hang your feeders from.

  • Decorative leaf design
  • 10 hooks for hanging feeders
  • Mesh food tray
  • Strong and stable base fork
  • Site your feeder 2 metres from cover to make the feeder visible, whilst providing a safe place to retreat
  • Put out food at the start of the day to ensure that birds can replace the energy they have lost overnight.

Feeding Tips

  • With food resources scarcer now, it is essential to feed garden birds all year round.
  • Once you have started to feed the birds it is important to continue this, and develop a routine, as the birds will become reliant upon your help.
  • Provide food throughout the whole year especially during breeding, nesting and fledgling periods.
  • Locate feeders stations near cover so that they’re easily accessible, but not too close if there is a risk of predators.

Hygiene

  • Always ensure garden birds have plenty of fresh clean water for drinking and bathing
  • Clean feeding and drinking areas regularly with a mild disinfectant
  • Keep food fresh and dry, removing any wet food to prevent the spread of bacteria and diseases

This is a really beautiful feeder stand. One of the best looking ones I have had. Easy to out together and place. I like it in the garden compared to the normal boring black ones I have had. Very well made.

This is a bit different from your usual coat-rack-type bird feeding station. The metal cast leaves give it an attractive appearance and it looks good in the garden. Nice and sturdy with the four prong base too. Just the right height, and the birds love it.

I was looking for a feeder station for my balcony as our railings are due to be painted so have to remove the feeders attached to them. Liked the look of this and it’s nice and sturdy. Easy to put together and I placed it in a fabric planter filled with soil which works well and also means I can move it when they paint the balcony to still feed the birds.

This is sturdy, it looks great, and plenty of hanging space. I was a bit worried that my 4 port feeder with cage and tray would be too heavy for it – nope, it hangs on the outer hook without swaying it much at all, and the “branches” are definitely strong enough. I’m kinda willing my other inferior feeder will rust to a state where I have to get another one of these!

This is a beautiful bird feeder, I love the swirls and metal leaves.
There are lots of places for birds to perch and to hang food from. I bought the matching bird bath too. I now have the cutest little wildlife corner in my garden.

Really pleased, very sturdy, tall and easy to assemble. Lots of hooks to hang feeders from. You do need to purchase your own but that’s more than fair, consider the price. Really pretty leaf feature at the top. Definitely recommend! Only just assembled it, need to fill it now!

This is still standing after the recent high winds. The birds are a little shy to use it and are still feeding from the nearby shrub instead. I’m slowly moving items across to it and some birds have been brave enough to briefly check it out.

Easy to assemble and robust enough to withstand several birds attacking the feeders at once as well as stronger winds. Blends in with the garden really well – what more can I say about a bird feeder, does what it say….

Great feeding station. I paid a bit more than the cheaper stations you can get but worth it. Well made, feels sturdy, love the branches/leaves at the top. The birds fly to the station and land on the metal branches/leaves then move to the feeder they want. Love it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like how it looks, more attractive than bare poles. Whoever said crows keep off it – rooks gather on it in flocks! The wood pigeons like having a tray to stand on and poke their heads through the cage to chomp the seeds. The joints of the main pole take a lot of tightening for arthritic hands. On balance I like it.

The feeding station is very easy to assemble and seems sturdy enough. Had to wait until the ground was soft enough before pushing the prongs on the bottom of the pole into the soil (don’t try and do this when the soil is hard as I think the prongs would bend or break). Once erected and placed in the garden it seems fairly stable. I can’t comment on how rust resistant it is, or how well it will remain standing in a gale at this stage. The ornate top with the metal leaf effect is quite attractive. It took the birds a day or two to realise they now have a nice feeding area, and they couldn’t leave it alone. The magpies seem to like it too! Our resident squirrel hasn’t attempted a raid on it yet, but it has eyed it up once or twice. It will be interesting to see if it decides to try and shin up the pole to the food. Only had this item a few days but would recommend it as so far, it is doing what it is designed to do and it looks nice. Update: The squirrel did manage to get to the bird food LOL! update September 2021: Have since purchased squirrel baffle which totally defeated the squirrels on their first encounter with it. Haven’t seen them try and bypass it since.
