    Compact, well made and versatile
This is a great single person camping mattress that I look forward to using in anger over the summer months.

The product is nicely packaged, with basic instructions, some (what I assume are) repair stickers, a drawstring storage bag and of course the mattress itself.

The mattress comes in a drab olive colour and is equipped with a build in “foot pump”. It is basically a foam pad with a one way valve, that when you take your foot of, it sucks air into the chamber and then when you push down on the foam pad fixed within the air tight material, it pushes the air through a one way valve and into the air mattress. It does take quite a few pumps to inflate but it is easy enough once you get the hang of it and is effective to give a nice firm inflation with no need to top up manually.

Once inflated, the mattress is approximately 195cm in length and 65cm wide which is a good size sleeping pad for a compact camping setup. It isn’t as big as some of the more traditional airbeds but is great for a lightweight camp and inflates more than some of the camping “pads” I have used in the past whilst maintaining a fairly compact size once stored in it’s bag, at around 28cm long and 15cm in diameter.

The mattress seems well made in a nylon style fabric, it inflates firm enough to comfortably support a 6ft, 17st man. It has a deflation valve under the pillow with two dimension inserts – the smaller of the two has a non-return valve so you can inflate it with a traditional pump. It has a second valve at the foot end where the foam “foot pump” is – which is to be kept open whilst pumping to allow air into the inflation chamber and then closed once inflated. Down the side of the mattress are male poppers on one side, and female poppers on the other. Whilst it doesn’t refer to these in the instructions I assume these are to allow you to connect multiple mattresses together if you wish, although they do make a double size version if you prefer.

I hope to be trying this out throughout the year and will get some idea of durability – but first impressions are good and on that basis I can recommend.

Budget air mattress. It does its job.
I have tested the air mattress at home so far. I expect to properly try it outdoor when the weather improves. But I would like to share my first impressions about it. The air holds really well under constant use for two weeks. Then I’ve left the air mat inflated for two more weeks and it’s still holding the air as the first day. A thumb up for that. This camping mattress is not the lightest one. But I guess that you are not concerned about weight if you get an air mattress with a built-in foot pump. The same it could be said about the size of it when it’s folded in its bag. It’s a bit bulky, so it will occupy some space inside your backpack. Definitely, it’s not for lightweight backpacking. The air mattress is big (L195cm x W66cm x Th12cm). Despite of its width, the curvy edges design on its sides doesn’t give me the impression that it’s so wide when I’m laying on the air mattress. The TPU material seems strong. It’s a bit noisy, scratchy. I can hear some noise when I’m moving around during the night. The material feels a bit plastic in touch with your skin (but ok for a budget air mattress). Although the air mattress is not completely flat on its surface, I wouldn’t consider that it has a ergonomic design that matches your body curves. This camping mat looks comfy at first look. I had a high expectation about it, but I didn’t feel so comfy during the night as I was expecting, even though I wouldn’t say that is uncomfortable. No R-value information is provided about this camping mattress. I assume that it’s not insulated and it’s only for summer season. However, I would expect that the quality of the material and its thickness might provide some protection against heat flow. This air mattress could be inflated in around 2 minutes using the built-in foot pump. It has double-layered valve that makes easy the deflation process.

    Cheap, useful & very portable
The market for camping sleeping mats is wide and diverse. Already owning a very expensive Exped MegaMat 10 that cost me in excess of 200, I thought it would be interesting to check out an option at the other end of the market. This offering by QPAU is obviously lacking in many ways against the Exped but it costs a fraction of what I paid for the luxury mat and still does a pretty decent job.

Packed up, the mat’s footprint is minimal and a fraction of what my Exped requires — big plus! To inflate is a simple and relatively fast process with a built-in foot pump. Only takes a few mins to get the mat fully inflated.

Fully inflated, this mat has a very good length, ideal for 6 foot individuals. The width is comfortable if your body size is average and there’s also a useful built-in raise pillow. My Exped is totally flat!

Where the mat is incomparable to my Exped is in the comfort. This mat is very good for the price paid and you should get a decent night’s sleep but it is rather noisy with a distinct crinkling effect when you move around. The Exped uses memory foam, is 100% noise free and more comfortable.

Another noticeable difference is this mats air retention. After 2 days inflated there’s definitely been some loss. If I was camping for several days I’d need to reinflate every so often. You will never have such issues with an Exped.

Overall, it’s a very nice mat that will serve the job of sleeping in a tent very well for most, and the price is good.

Comfortable night's sleep but not insulated
Subtle hint “Army Yellow” means “Drab Olive” or Army “GREEN” despite the usual blurb about colours being affected by lighting conditions or the device you’re using to look at… It is Dark Green as shown in photos LOL

I tested this by sleeping for 2 nights on my kitchen floor as this is the coldest room in the house. Overnight room temperature was 14 degrees both nights and the tiles were much colder.

This is by far the thickest/highest sleep mat that I own and certainly very comfortable offering good support all round (I don’t know if it was the full 4.7 inches as I never measured it and I’m not particularly good with feet and inches). I can see that it will be great on uneven, lumpy or stony ground. However to use this winter camping it will need some other kind of thermal protection. It’s fair to mention that this is not advertised as a winter mat, but it was very ‘cool’ to sleep on. So for winter, I’ll still need to take a thermal bed roll if I choose to use this one, or a mylar sheet and camp cot.

Ideal for summer camping and fairly compact and lightweight. Once rolled back up it easily fitted back inside the amply spaced stuff sack (I hate it when manufacturers give you a sack that’s exactly the right size for when a machine has rolled it)… Rolled after being used, I estimate its about 28cm long (out of at least 30cm available in the bag) and about 15cm diameter with compression straps (with a good couple of centimeters all round if I didn’t use the compression straps)… total weight including the bag and my compression straps is still under 800 grams!

A welcome creature comfort for summer backpacking. I’m looking forward to using it this hiking season.

    Very good.
I was quite surprised by this camping mattress and how good it is. It took a couple of minutes to inflate using the built-in pump, which made things really simple and means you don’t have to carry the additional weight of an electric one. Once inflated it stayed so, and was remarkably comfortable in spite of the depth of the mattress not being very much. It was large enough for me to fit comfortably with room to spare, but I am very short so I cannot say how a taller person might fare in that regard.

When the time came to pack the mattress away again, my fears that it would be impossible to fit it back into the bag came to nothing. It folded neatly back into a roll and fit in the bag without any trouble at all.

At 929g it’s a little heavier than some backpacking mattresses can be, but it’s much more comfortable so I think I can trade off the extra weight for a better night’s sleep. It also has snap fasteners on each side so you can attach two – or more – together to make a larger mattress for couples or children.

I’m not particularly keen on the colour, but you don’t see that when it’s in use.

Overall very impressed. I think this is a good addition to my kit.

First impressions are good but not suitable for hiking
This is a good quality easy to use camping mat. It states somewhere in the product info ” self-inflating-sleeping-pads” so be aware that it definitively is not.

It is however very easy to inflate via your own lung power or the included foot pump apparatus. The pad, testing it on my floor, is quite thick and very comfortable.

Howeverall of these things, the thickness, the foot pump, the construction make for a pretty heavy sleep pad – clocking in just over a kilogram. So this pad is fantastic if you are driving somewhere to go camping, or travelling in a pair where you can split up gear whilst hiking.

It is too heavy to be suitable for solo through-hikers (like myself) that need to carry a tent, cooking gear, etc and every single gram of weight counts. I bring this up because some of the imagery in the product info shows a lone person in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains. You just wouldn’t have the room to take the extra weight of this pad (let alone the foot pump) with you. You’d need a more specialised solution.

So, if weight is not a concern and you don’t need to hike long distances, this is a very good pad. I dare say if a situation comes up in my home with unexpected guests and I need to sleep on the floor, it would be very comfy!

But in the meantime it’ll have to stay in storage in the loft as it’s not suitable for my purposes.

    GOOD for price!!
This was very good value for money, like most airbeds it deflates over time, but it was so easy to set up and take down, I definitely would recommend using a CPR method instead of a foot to pump it, lot easier and quicker!! It survived my festival though, and can’t wait to use it next year!

    Better than expected.
I bought this as I had always used two much deeper traditional inflatable mattresses, 15cm depth. My new tent was not as wide so I kept one double and needed a single. I bought this for me to use, expecting it to not be great. I left my son with the double deeper matress. Honestly amazed, very comfy, it doesn’t do that collapsing thing if you tread on it or press on a small bit when you get up. The internal foot pump worked well and I did have to top the air up a couple of times, but it was only a couple of presses, which im guessing was it being new. I had to swap back to the big one for the last few days, the fact it is deeper means it can’t not give alot in pressure points and now being in my 50s was not good. My son used this one and loved it. We hace gites our old air beds now and I’ll be burying another one of these for next summer. So all in all, excellent, very comfy, inflates easily, packs down small, light and seems good quality. We used it for 14 nights.

    Great airbed
I bought this for my first time camping. It pumped up really quickly! I had a bit of trouble getting the air out and packing it away but there are instructions which should make it easier to do so. Comfortable to lie on and sturdy.

    Amazing
used for a festival and it was really quick and easy to use and didn’t deflate like most air beds do after a couple nights. I was surprised as it is much comfier than anticipated and overall i’m very happy with my purchase

Best inflatable camping mat I had
Great sleep, almost air bed like quality. Good thermal isolation. Easy and quick to inflate. The raised ‘pillow’ under your head is very nice. Packs quickly, doesn’t take up much space. It has a smooth surface, so if you sleep on a slope, and you turn you will slide down a bit, but I would expect that most of the mats like that to be similar. It took me a while to figure out how to inflate it, because I didn’t notice the separate outlet.

    Perfec
As a new by to camping, this was comfortable and kept its pressure. Easy to inflate on a short amount of time – there are two openings so make sure one is closed! Also included in the pack is a set of hole repair patches – just in case. Well worth the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHighly recommend!
I’m 21 stone and 6ft and this baby pumps up in 2 minutes flat from flat! Less than 2 minutes In fact. Holds my weight all night and doesn’t really go down at all. For the money I definitely recommend!

    So easy to inflate!

Comfortable, feels good quality, lightweight and packs down small. I’m really impressed! Taking this on a bike packing adventure and then I’ll be purchasing 2 more for my wife and son for our next camping trip.

    Super product, well priced!
From 1st opening of parcel, this product screams 1st class. Boxing is very good, quality is excellent. Instructions clear and mattress looks fantastic. Inflated in a couple of minutes has remained fully inflated for 3 days. This is definitely worth a buy, excellent quality and does exactly what’s it supposed to, plus the price is unbelievable.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFirst impression but only thing missing for me is a softer touch top laye
I’ll update once we’ve got some use out of this, but my first impressions for now:-

    * Would give a five star, but I’d like to have seen a softer touch/feel top layer, so it’s less slip/plastic scratchy sound when you move on it.

    * Litrally didn’t even need to look at the instructions as seen you pump one end.. So easily figured out you’d have to close up the cap thats the opposite end to the pump & leave the pump cap open to allow air in a you pump.

    * Took all of 2mins or less with little effort to get it fully inflated.

    * First try felt nice, solid with a little bit of give.. Could mean need to not pump it up a much maybe, as then side sleeping might get a better pillow effect without cranking neck.

    * Great idea with the poppers so you can attach some together, we bought two, so I’ll try that out. Think would be better than two people in a double because your movement won’t bother the other person as much right?

    What you think?

    * Decent packaging, pretty minimal which is a plus for me – I wonder if they could avoid the plastic shrink wrap, although imagine it’s mainly to help protect the product after production.

I stumbled upon these after scrolling through a few options looking for a couple single air beds but I wanted something more slimline & honestly air beds seem to last about 5 minutes, but a thinner air matt I’ve got goes strong, so though this was worth a shot..

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am amazed
I bought this for a compact sleeping mat to take bikepacking. I was almost certain that it would be somewhat uncomfortable. I was wrong! Despite the thickness of this mat I can kneel on it and my knees will not feel the floor, I’m not light either I’m 90kg. It’s very comfortable and my hips and knees don’t feel the floor at all ! My partner who is over 110kg can also kneel on it and not feel the floor- amazing!
