Amazing suctio
Great vacuum cleaner. Great suction. Long cable for easy moving around. Picks everything up. The added lights on the front are great for seeing the dust on hard floors.

Best vacuum for pet owners
The best vacuum for getting dog and cat hair out of furniture and carpet. It’s a bit heavy but worth it. We have several shark products and all work perfectly.
Very thorough cleaning
The carpet is thick, wool & has a lot of dog hair (short hair).
Pros: cleans well, lots of power even on the thick carpet. Can use on stairs. Easy to clean.
Cons: tad heavy, so manoeuvring it is slow
– however, that still is good for the overall clean.
It does a good job, it’s not as quick as a cordless nor is it lightweight.
Best hoove
I was sceptical of buying a shark hoover and spending more than I normally would.
This is the best hoover I ever owned. The suction is amazing alot stronger than my Vax reach, even though I the vax was a great hoover.
You won’t use full power on the Shark and only need to use the hard floor setting but you can turn it to full power when needed. It brings carpets like new especially with the brush spinning, bringing life back into the carpet.
The brush tool is amazing for sofa and other bits.
The only niggle I have is sometimes it doesn’t go right up against the skirting board like the Vax.
Does the job perfectly
This is the second Sharp we have had after our original model finally ceased to work. Regrettably it was beyond repair as the motor for that version is no longer available so a replacement was needed. Overall it’s another good option for anyone to acquire albeit with some slight changes in design. This one doesn’t fit under some areas which the previous one did, but not a deal breaker. Does the job perfectly well, picking up dirt, dust and fur as good as it’s predecessor and for the price we paid hard to beat.
Great vaccum
Suction on this vacuum is brilliant, its not too loud, & lightweight. I have very long hair & did still find hair wrapped around brush, which i had to remove manually. Overall i would recommend
Compact and effective
Have just ordered this vacuum cleaner, I hope it’s good, it looks it.
… Just kidding I’ve been using it for nearly 3 months. My favourite thing about it is how compact it is, (it stores away very neatly) and its suction power; it’s really good on carpet. The attachments work well on stairs etc and you can lift the main body out while you do more difficult areas. It’s pretty easy to empty too.
Apparently there are vacuum cleaners that are really good for about 700 quid, I’m not sure what’s so amazing about them but I won’t be finding out! This does the job well.
Had this a couple of weeks now. No complaints, good performance and easy to use.
The only slight criticism is perhaps that it’s physically smaller than I was expecting. But despite that, it has great suction power and is easy to control. All the accessories do their job and they detachable carry feature is very handy for stairs etc. Very happy with the purchase, which I believe is good value.

After using my previous EIO 2000w vacuum for many years, I recently became concerned that perhaps its best days were behind it — not least because the air it was emitting smelt unpleasant and dust-laden
Anyway, seeing this Shark on sale I thought I’d dip my toes into the waters of modern uprights.
It looks pretty funky — modern yet somehow stylish. The materials used are certainly good-to-upper quality levels. Assembly is simple and intuitive. Packaging is efficient and well presented.
Most important of all, I was really rather shocked just how much more “dirt” it managed to collect from my 3-bedroom, well-maintained cottage that has been supposedly regularly vacuumed See photos. NB: The kitchen and bathroom have hard floors. The rest is tight-woven carpet.
The min-setting power level for carpets is ideal.
The attachments, especially the one for stairs, are very useful
The only dust-mite in the ointment is the fact that it is rather cumbersome and on the heavier side. One needs to learn to keep the handle down low and make large straight-arm movements to get it to manoeuvre around furniture, rather than trying to bully it through the shortest path. As I say, the key thing is to keep its centre of gravity as low as possible — that way its weight flows out through the ground rather than through your arms.
The de-coupling option is without doubt a bonus.
Anyway, overall I’m super impressed. It has the power, the functionality and the design to get the job done And the air smells as clean as a whistle from it I’m interested to see how much it sucks up the next time I take it for a spi
This is probably the best hoover I have ever used. We have two Maine Coons so you can imagine we have loads of hair in our house. I just used it today, as my house was in desperate need of a vacuum. The set up was so easy, you don’t even need to look at the instructions. It worked so well, I spent about an hour vacuuming and the hoover didn’t shut off or overheat like most do. The cord length is perfect, we have a pretty wide living room and it was able to cover more distance than other hoovers. It is a bit heavy and does get harder to push if you use the max suction on carpet but it works wonders. We bought it with the pet tool and used it on our stairs. My only gripe about this hoover is that in certain areas (stair/corners/up high) the lift away is a big tricky but it does work. I would recommend this to anyone.

If you’re debating on if you should buy this or not, just DO IT! I promise you won’t be dissapointed.
I’m a long haired cat owner and we’ve always stuggled with hair in the carpets never being able to get it all up and since purcasing this it’s been a godsend. It managed to pick up all the hairs and more (all the little dusts bits and grains under the carpet). I’ve made great use of the ‘lift away’ feature on our stairs and in the car, it’s so easy to take off and is light enough to carry around. I just wish the hose would be a bit longer as I found myself pulling the vaccume over from time to time and I have to make sure that it’s right by me when using the lift away feature.
In conclusion i’d say this is a fantastic vaccume and the price cannot be any better for what you get, it’s a must have for any household.
I can honestly say this is the best upright vacuum cleaner I’ve ever purchased and I’ve gone through a TON of vacuums both in my personal and professional life!
It’s compact despite sporting a 1 litre capacity collection drum. It’s easy to assemble straight out of the box. It stores well, which is essential in a small, one person flat like mine. It’s surprisingly powerful, made easy work of six months of accumulated dog hairs along with other filth and detritus.
Most importantly for myself is that it’s quite lightweight and easy to manoeuvre and although it boasts powerful suction, one doesn’t feel as though one is fighting to control the unit, unlike some other models. Using it didn’t set off a flare up with my arthritis and – perhaps the best feature – the nice, long wand attachment/ handle meant I didn’t have to bend almost double just to use the thing. As a man standing not far off seven feet tall that’s a rarity in most floor cleaning products, I can tell you!
My only gripes are that I think it’s going to require frequent emptying, despite the aforementioned collection drum, and the automatic hair removal on the brushes doesn’t seem to work quite as well as advertised.
All in all a great vacuum cleaner. One of the best in my experience and opinion but by no means perfect. Well worth the price.
It has great suction power; it is very versatile, with all sorts of tools and different ways to configure it – including hand carrying options for stairs etc. I like the ‘headlights’ on it, which show up the dirt, and it is jointed in such a way that it can swerve around things. The dust can is super-easy to empty too.
The only slight negative is that it is a bit heavy to push on carpets, but overall, we are very pleased with it. I’m amazed at just how much dust it collects!
I have 3 dogs and a toddler, and I hate hoovering. But I just did my whole house with this new Shark and 1. It is cleaner than it’s ever been; and 2. I ENJOYED doing it. Never thought that would happen! I’ve tried all brands – Vax, Dyson, Henry etc – over the years, and nothing compares to this Shark. The lift away and pet tool combo is awesome for the stairs. The main head and roller brush gets so deep into the carpet it’s unreal – it hadn’t been a week since I used my Henry last and the pic is what it got just out of my 7×5 living room rug! The carpets upstairs look new. With all the functions, suction and how easy it is to use the lift-away, this one compact, light hoover is now replacing 3 tools for me – my heavy Henry, a cordless stick vacuum (for “in between” cleans) and a carpet scraper I used to need to use to get the deepest dog hair up, now not needed because the Shark is so powerful, saving my knees and loads of time. Absolutely chuffed with it. Haven’t found a downside yet but I’ve only had it a day. Will update if it breaks or something.
Suction power is so good
After owning my Dyson cylinder for 13yrs and it finally giving up the ghost I thought I’d try an upright. After reading up on several makes and models then reading reviews on the Shark I finally decided to purchase one and so glad I did. This Hoover is so kind to my back, it is easy to manoeuvre around and switch from hard floor to carpet setting also with easy removal of the wand for high or low awkward places. One thing I had read is that it tips when using the wand up high which is correct but if its just placed between your knees its fine. Love the Lift away when doing the stairs so much easier than balancing the whole Hoover on a step. One thing I have done is nearly ran over the lead a few times so make sure to clip it in the hook provided and hold the lead out of the way, getting used to it now! I have a lot of hair too so the anti wrap hair head is fantastic. Would I recommend this Hoover defintely!
I have a husband, child and furboy who sheds 24/7 add into that OCD which gets triggered by mess, I need a good hoover.
After trying Dyson, Vax, Hoover and most other brands I wanted to give the Shark lift away a go.
Quality vacuum and it comes with tools that are useful. The suction is great and having lights on the front is excellent for showing bits on the floor.
Easy to use on hard floor, carpets and rugs. I hoovered the rug just after using the Dyson and the fluff and dust that was picked up was shocking.
Light and easy to use I would recommend this to anyone. Long cord, easy to go from carpet to hard floor, holds a lot and easy to empty. Versatile as can be used on all flooring and cleans the stairs with ease.
Excellent value and with a 5 year guarantee what’s not to love.

This Upright hoover does what it says on the tin. It gets up dirt and debris from household waste. The Only draw back with this hoover is when a blockage occurs and the red light comes on.
Powerful vacuum cleane
I’ve had this vacuum cleaner for 2 weeks now and so far very pleased with it. It’s powerful, much quieter than my old one and I was amazed how much dust etc, it picked up when I first used it. The cleaning head is slightly narrower than most cleaners, which means I can get into smaller spaces, without having to get the tools out. Not too heavy either.

Bought in Black Friday sale and love my new Shark Hoover especially the lights on the front the cats however not so much but I’m sure they will get used to it mine is an anti tangle one but won’t know how well that works until I have used it a bit so will need to update maybe in a month or so x

This vacuum is great. As others have said it can be a little difficult to push as the suction is so good, it lifts the pile on the carpet, collects much more out of the carpet than my previous Dyson or Vax.

We have always had hard flooring until summer when we got a carpet in the lounge. We were using an old dyson for the carpet and a hetty for the hard floors. Our shark arrived today and wow! I honestly can’t believe what our dyson was leaving behind, this hoover really is worth every penny. Works great on the carpet and hard floors.

I have only had this hoover about an hour and I’m already in love !! My old vax was not picking up anymore and never really did or not very well anyway.. read all the reviews on this and my god how right they are, it’s blown me away.. I hoovered yesterday with my old hoover.. I’ve done 2 rooms with this one and it’s FUL, I can’t believe how dirty my carpets must have been, first shark I’ve ever had and I’m converted, I love this hoover so much !!
I was lucky enough to get a few months use of my sisters Shark at her place. So when the time came to buy myself a vacuum cleaner, I went with this one. I had already hoovered up with my old hoover and when this arrived I hoovered again. I was disgusted by hiw much dirt my old vacuum left behind. The brushes are really good. They liven up your carpets and rugs, and is very good at the very edge. The lift away function is really useful. Add the brush and you can get the crevices and skirting boards with ease. For me, the chord is long enough to be able to use it around my entire flat. Absolutely perfect.
I brought this for myself to try out first. I was so amazed that I then brought one for my elderly mum. She absolutely loves it. It’s exactly what she was looking for. Somthing light which she can easily move around the house.. The stairs and upstairs too. She’s so happy.
I was put off at first by a video which I watched showing that this huver wouldn’t move on the carpet, but I thought id risk buying it reading the positive reviews. I’m so glad I did take that risk. This must be the 3rd Shark we have had. They don’t last forever but getting a new pet shark appliance at this price was a necessity as old one was not sucking up properly any more. . This is excellent giving a great deep clean and coping with 2 moulting labradors ( I know it’s Winter!) new features – 1: easier emptying, 2: a much easier & visible red ‘rocker switch’ to toggle between carpet and hard wood floors, 3: what feels like a bigger capacity than old one 4: a foot peddle to seperate the unit to be able to clean the stairs. I didn’t want to spend 169 before xmas on a new cleaner but I am glad I did as it was easy to really clean the floors of the whole house including carpet, vinyl, slate and laminate.
I had been using a Shark cordless vacuum for just over 3 years, but (as is the way with battery-powered devices) it was no longer doing its job as well as it had at first, so I decided to go back to a corded vacuum cleaner. I have a cat who sheds a lot of fluff so this model with the pet hair attachment looked like the right way to go. The main vacuum cleaner is quite heavy and takes a fair amount of strength to manoeuvre around, so it does feel like a bit of a workout, but it’s worth it for the results. I had no idea how much dust my carpets were harbouring until it was sucked up into the collection pot of this vacuum cleaner! The one real flaw with this machine is that you can’t use the main vacuum head for underneath furniture that’s low to the ground, so you do either have to use the smaller powered head for under the furniture or actually have to move the furniture to clean under it. The smaller powered head does work really well for that purpose, though, and it also makes the machine very light for cleaning stairs.
Best hoover I’ve had
I spent a lot of time looking for a hoover and decided to go for this one and I’m so glad I did. I’ve had dysons and cordless in the past but now I have a whole house of carpet I wanted something that’ll last and so the job. This hoover is brilliant I cannot fault it. The suction is great and has two settings, the lift away is so easy and brilliant for stairs etc. it is heavier than I thought but I think I’m just used to stick hoovers so can feel like a workout but the suction can be lowered so it’s not as hard. I just love this and also I got it on Amazon deal day so didn’t even have to pay out a lot of money. Really pleased with this and would definitely recommend
Good cleane
he shark cleaner is great i like the way it swivels enables me to get into tight corners and the long handle is perfect height for me and i love the way it has the lift away option means i can do the stairs at the same time with my previous cleaner the hose didn’t even stretch that far and many times i couldn’t be bothered doing the stairs and the lights on the cleaner makes it so much easier to see the dog hairs as the cleaner is so lightweight and plasticy i hope it does me a long time because i always had to replace my cleaners quite often as it was always being used because of the dogs heres hoping it will be worth the 279
Powerful and not too big
It’s smaller than the last upright I had and a little lighter but still packs a powerful punch on suction. Easy to assemble with a bit of thought and looks nice. There is nothing quite like seeing all the nasty stuff it’s picked up and feeling relieved it isn’t still in your carpet and on your floors. The high suction mode is so powerful the hoover is hard to move on deep carpets but luckily you can use a minimum setting too. The flexible little head makes it easy to manoeuvre in tighter spaces or around corners. My only complaint is that the power lead can sometimes get in the way, so I have to hook it around my shoulder, also the power switch of the suction setting is on the handle, meaning that I sometimes knock it accidentally. I’m doing it less now that I am more used to it so I guess you get used to it. All in all I’m happy with my purchase and I think it’s really good value for money.

It’s easy to use and has great suction, easy to assemble and disassemble if you want to clean/empty it or use it for cleaning your car. I’ve had a few pet hoovers and vax was my last one and this shark hoover beats it hands down. Worth every penny of what l paid for it. Highly recommended. Looks like it’s build to last but only time will tell and l will update my review if l find any problems or issues along the way but can’t see anything going wrong with it with the materials used and sturdiness of the unit.

Ok is up hairs and doesn’t wrap around the brush as it states. I run a Petcare business and it does the job of hoovering up the hair really well.
Only downside is it is a little heavy and I hate the cord although the little clip helps to avoid standing on it! But it saves having to charge a cordless one each time.

It doesn’t look as smart as our old shark. I’d say it looks bit more old fashioned, however, absolutely great hoover. Really quiet. Picks up everything and we have a dog that moults a lot so it’s perfect for that with the pet tool. And, HEADLIGHTS. All hoovers should have these as standard.

Lots of really good things about this machine.
Possibly the most powerful machine we’ve had for many years. It’s a bit of a beast. Massive improvement on the Dyson it’s replaced.
Like the two modes for hard floors and carpets, plus the extra ‘boost’ you can also engage.
In carpet mode, you can feel it lift the carpet even on the lowest setting and it’s great for larger hard floors. It’s lifted stuff out of carpets that our Dyson absolutely couldn’t.
Like the detachable body for doing a things like the stairs.
Like the fact it almost goes flat for under furniture and it’s also very manoeuvrable.
A few people have said it’s difficult to push when on carpet mode. You can tell it’s really picking stuff up, so there is some resistance when pushing, but unless you have a lot of weakness, it shouldn’t be a problem for the majority of people.
Nice range of tools (although there’s a glaring exception – see below)
Bad points:
As other people have said, the cord position is a bit inconvenient.
The dust container is a little small (although easy to empty)
Disappointing that there’s no small brush attachment as there is with most vacuum cleaners or a brush head suitable for small carpet areas like stairs (as the Dyson has)
Niggles that detract from an otherwise fantastic vacuum cleaner

I’m very impressed with my new Shark. I read the reviews before I bought so I was wary that it might not be what I wanted. It works great for me but you have to ensure you are using the right setting ( only two to choose from!). If you use the hard floor setting on carpet it becomes very heavy to use and does not vacuum well. But on carpet setting it is fab and sucks up all my dogs hairs from my carpet. Very adaptable and easy to change configurations to suit a variety of needs, ie. carpet, hard floors, stairs, upholstery, vacuuming at height, etc.
Great performance- powerful suction with anti-tangle brush which makes clearing pet hair easy.
Simple to empty – storage on the vacuum for tools.
Lead would be better sited on the left (for right-handed people), but it’s easy to manage.
I find the suction levels fine, making it easy to push, by following the guidance for different surfaces.

Arrived in its own box with so much packaging ( possible thankfully). Each component in its own box or bag. Disappointed that it came in so many bits so took a while with the instructions to assemble.
My other vacuum is a Henry and I got the shark to keep upstairs as Henry is hard to drag up my spiral stairs.
Only used it once so far but being an upright is very heavy to manoeuvre but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Came with a wide range of tools, including a set of little nozzles handy for all those little gaps in the car.

The suction on this hoover is amazing , all the pile on my old carpets is fluffy again . Using the different tools for edges and skirting boards is easy peasy as they are just there on the side of the hoover. Cleaning the stairs is my favourite as the dust part comes off separate from the hoover so u can hoover with no heavy parts to hold while u are doing it . The length of the wire is well long too so no problemd there. This hoover is great !
The other day my trusty Dyson died, and after wasting my time buying a cheap POC that was intimidated by a single piece of dental floss (yes really), I swiftly netted this little number and hoped for the best, and apart from a couple of minor things, I’m really impressed. The suction is so good, I nearly gave myself a hernia trying to clean a thick pile carpet (thank you, min suction switch), it’s super light weight, and the amount of fluff in it after my first foray showed just how rubbish the other one was. The niggles are that it falls over quite easily when detached from the the base, it’s a bit hard to get a good angle on carpet when cleaning under the bed, the flex gets in the way if you don’t keep hold of it, and the accessories storage part isn’t worth having, but the price I paid for it more than makes up for these little glitches really.
One thing you should know first is that in my nearly 50 years of life I have never left a review for anything!
So here goes, my 10 year old Henry blew up last week, so I spent literally a week reading reviews for all brands and models of hoovers to the point that I was simply going to get another Henry.
Well prime day arrived and I took the biggest gamble and purchased this. Well that turned out to be the best decision ever. I could not be happier with my purchase, in fact I am literally so excited at the fact I’m now the proud owner of the best Hoover I’ve ever had. Henry will RIP and never be spoke of again, it’s all about the Shark now.
I can honestly say that if you are thinking of purchasing this Hoover do it. I’m positive my floors have never been so clean, hoovering today has been effortless and I can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow mainly due to the fact I have 2 dogs as well as a 19 year old and a 20 year old Honesty you will not be disappointed
After 30 years of using Dyson products, I decided I would try a Shark instead as I had heard good things about them. I am also moving house soon and needed a more compact hoover as storage space will be tight.
There is a lot I like about this hoover – the suction is great, the lights are good for seeing dust etc, it’s good on both hard floors and carpets, the dust container is easy to empty and you can convert the hoover from upright to cylinder, the power cable is long and it also takes up less space that my Dyson.
What I’m not so keen on is that the lead gets in the way when using as it’s on the side of the hoover and also that you only get a hard floor attachment for the hose and not one for carpets when using as a cylinder vacuum cleaner. You can also only store 2 of the tools on the hoover itself. My other gripe is that the anti-wrap does not work – this is because it’s made with brushes and it’s impossible for long hair not to wrap around these.
Overall I am happy with this hoover and hope it will last as long as my Dysons have. I got this on sale for 189 which is a lot cheaper that I have paid in the past.
Great hoove
This is a “does exactly what it says on the tin” kinda item. It’s simple and easy to use from cleaning utility to the disposal of waste. The hoover itself is lightweight and easy to maneuver and the quality of clean across my hardwood, tiled and carpeted floors has all been of a high standard. The front lights also make it so easy to pick up on anything you may have otherwise missed.
Absolute steal at sale price, highly recommend.

Had always had a cordless Shark but after a friend said to try the corded version I thought why not. This one arrived and I gave it a go, it’s absolutely brilliant, the muck it removed from my carpets was scary, I vacuumed that morning and thought the floor was clean but now I know it’s clean. Really happy with my purchase!!
Fantastic vacuum
I have been looking for a new vacuum cleaner for a while now, I have previously had a cordless vacuum, and I have found that the suction goes. I received this vacuum today, and it was very easy to put together, and the suction is great. I know this is a new vacuum, also because the vacuum I had previously did not have any suction it is going to be much better. Easy to do the stairs, no problem with the length of the cord. I would give this vacuum 10 out of 10.

Really powerful suction on carpets, couldn’t believe how much it picked up, obviously my old vacuum wasn’t collecting as much as I thought. Sometimes a little heavy to push on certain carpets.

First upright vacuum since using an old 1960s Hoover – quite an upgrade. Fantastic suction and the rugs stay on the floor ( weight of machine ) which was not possible with a cylinder. A good range of extras is housed on the machine with a decent length of cable. Not a great fan of cleaning but this makes it slightly more enjoyable and so much quicker. I very much like the five-year warranty so I have bravely chucked away the box as I think it will last me out.
Used this hoover only once and I’m mega impressed. Easy to assemble and the instructions are easy to understand! The suction on this hoover is incredible, so over the moon with this product. most importantly (to me), all the packaging is cardboard and the attachment packaging is paper. Well done Shark for being eco-friendly. Cannot recommend this hoover enough!!
Versatile powerhouse

Got this hoover today and I’ve got to say I’m so impressed, it is absolutely amazing! My carpets look they have been washed instead of hoovered! I was shocked at the amount of dust and dirt it got out of my carpets, definitely recommend this produc
The best vacuum ever!
Light, easy to use, perfect on my hard floor downstairs and on carpets upstairs the lights on the front are better than the ones in my car! Amazingly powerful yet quiet I’ll never buy anything else this is the best vacuum ever.

Cleans well, a bit heavy,but l m not bothered, many option, not noisy compared with what l had before! Most important the air that comes out is actually clean! Wow! Couldn t recommend more!
This is the best hoover I’ve ever owned. It’s light to carry hoovering the stairs is super easy now, love the way it comes apart. It’s very powerful and carpets looks really clean not to mention all the dirt it hoovered up still can’t believe it. I would recommend this 100% 10 out or 10
Small cleaning head width
The 8.5″ cleaning head isn’t wide enough for cleaning very large carpets, and it would take forever to clean all my carpets which is a pity because the item looks to be good quality, however I cannot comment on usage because it wasn’t switched on.
My old vac cleaning head was 14″ wide
Very pleased with this purchase, have been using a battery vacuum for some time, but this mains one has the power and suction to collect the smallest pieces. It has brought the carpet back to its original pile and you can see the difference instantly.
It is slightly heavier than expected but its not that bad, its easy to use and empties very easy. It has a long mains cable which wraps round the lugs on the handle.
Have not used it on the stairs but when you disconnect the rollers and handle, it becomes very light and easy to carry up and down.
Very pleased with this purchase, should have bought on several year ago.
I’ve had 3 Dyson upright cleaners over the past 10 years and to be honest they’ve been fine. After a certain amount of time they become weak and it’s time to upgrade to the latest model.
When my last Dyson started to show the signs of age I though I should look around for something different. I’ve been a massive fan of some Ninja products over the last couple of years so knowing that Ninja and Shark are the same company seemed to be the appropriate way to go.
Nothing ground breaking but it’s a little lighter than my last Dyson. The brush head is slightly smaller than my previous Dyson but that’s not a problem, it makes it slightly easier to use.
Quite early in ownership but so far I’m quite impressed.
I do love this vacuum.
Was unsure if I’d like an upright but it is super easy and versatile.
I have mostly laminate flooring so can’t comment much on carpets.
I have pets and the headlights are great for showing up the hair so it all gets vacuumed up.
The only downside – the hose isn’t really long enough for when you need a long flexible reach (even with the lift away). I still get Henry out for awkward to get to areas.
Overall though I think it’s great – easy to manoeuvre, lightweight, easy to store.
I have hard floors downstairs and love my older anti hair wrap Shark as it not only picks up my long hair without leaving a nest on the brush to cut out, but also picks up seeds from my budgies cage really easily without them pinging about all over the place.
I decided to buy another Shark so the old one could stay upstairs so in December 2022 I bought the anti hair wrap pet model

On receiving it I realised that it was much lighter and appeared less solid than my previous Shark, but that didn’t bother me and on trying it the suction on it was as amazing.
At first I thought it wasn’t a Lift Away as the button for that operation is in a different place to my old one, at the bottom rather than at the top, but it is and it works brilliantly for the stairs as my old one does
I love it; as it’s so light it’s easier to manoeuvre than the old one which helps when you’re not as young as you feel lol.
The only problem that irritates me is that the power cord is half way down the machine on the right hand side so when holding the handle with my favoured right hand, it is really hard to juggle with the cord as it keeps getting caught up in the front of the machine but if I don’t hold the cord it keeps getting hoovered up which is dangerous. It’s hard to explain but try it and you’ll understand if you’re right handed. I really think this should be advertised as a left handed vacuum, my Mum was left handed and she would have loved this! Back in the day power cords came out at the bottom/back of vacuums instead of at the side presumably to cater for both handedness and were much easier to use.
So all in all it’s a great vacuum, and for the price I would definitely buy this again. A few annoying things about it, a bit more thought to the cord design maybe would have helped but all in all it’s a great addition to my cleaning arsenal.
The best bit is that it’s so light my 4 year old Grandson can help me out sometimes, result!
This hoover is a huge improvement on my GTech one, that I have used for years. It is powerful & shifts dirt you don’t even know is there. It’s a great product. Love the Rose colour to. It might be a little heavy to use on the Carpet Suction, for some people. And that is on the lowest Suction level. My only thought would be, to make the hook to hold the cable in, whilst hoovering a little larger. As the cable constantly slips off the hook. With a lower back problem, I don’t want to keep bending down to pick the lead up. Having had Rechargeable hoovers in the past. I am really pleased I have gone back to a cable hoover. I could never hoover through my property, before the charge wore out.
I’ve got a cat, a indoor cat that sheds year round. I’ve had many hovers that claim the world, pick up all dirt, pet hair, solve complex equations and solve my love problems. But they always fail and always only do a sub par job.
Decided to be adult and invest in a good hover, a hover that many claim and show can actually do the job it lists.
Going through just 3 rooms of my flat, I filled the entire waste container. Something other hovers would take 2/3 full cleans before being full. My carpet that I thought had turned from white to off white due to age, had its white come back again. The shark removed all the eyars of stuck down, walked over pet hairs that I thought was a colour change, and did it effortlessly.
Can’t belive the performance from such a small and light unit. Has to be some 8th level magic enchantment causing it to be so strong in cleaning yet so light and manoeuvrable.
I’m impressed and beyond happy, it’s a hover and I’m exited about it. I’m happy to clean again because I actually feel like I am cleaning.
This is going to help any allergies, loose pet hairs in the air, dust, cat litter, Ash, dropped food, discarded hopes and dreams. It’ll clean up the lot.
I send the message out to all that are thinking about getting a shark. Take the plunge and get one, ita the first of all my hovers that has actually done a complete job as advertised. If you are curious, find a friend that has one and borrow for a week and test, I am confident you’d buy one after a test.

Great hover love it it excells most other brands and picks loads of unsean dirt up carpets look loads better very pleased went back to corded from battery as they are better and seem more powerful
This was a shock its light easy to use and very strong. we tested this by hovering each room with my old hover and then this and I’m embarrassed to say I think I was living like a pig before, each room it picked up a lot of extra. even the button to reduce suction came in handy when I got to the rug it was strong enough to pick things up but not so much as to suck in the rug.

Fab if you don’t have this vacuum , get your credit out now and order it ! It has UNBELIEVABLE EVERYTHING , my new best mate I can’t stop using it , would be a bit embarrassed for folk to see what it sucked up , looks like I’ve recarpeted !
This is a monster of a vacuum cleaner which is just what I wanted. Easy to assemble and put to work. Powerful suck removing pet hair and dust. Not getting 5 stars as when you detach the unit to use on the stairs, which is easily done btw, the suction is not as good. Otherwise, very happy with my purchase and would recommend.
I am happy with the vacuum but very disappointed with the quality of the crevice tool. I had put it correctly, on the tool storage post but as I was vacuuming the electric cord caught on it and it fell onto the carpet and shattered. Plastic shouldn’t break simply from falling onto carpet. I contacted Shark customer service several times, pointing out the quality of the tool but they refused to replace it, quoting the conditions of the quarantee. One very unhappy customer.
This is an attractive looking vacuum, and when it’s empty it light weight to carry up and down the stairs. It requires regular cleaning of the contents. The suction power is great and the way it glides across carpet and hard floors is good and can get to awkward corners easily too.
It’s not as great when cleaning the stairs, it’s bit fiddly, there is nowhere on the shark to hook the cable once you’ve finished, which makes it be messy in my opinion.
It is good value for money once you got used to handling it. I would recommend the cordless shark which is what I will invest in once this one has had its day.
My partner and I were completely underwhelmed when we opened the box and extracted this minature vacuum cleaner. Having said that, I like a lot of things about it, it’s small and easy to manouvre, it has headlights which light up the dust/dirt, it’s easy to unclip the pod thing and use on the stairs, the suction seems really strong and it has certainly brought A LOT of dust and dirt out of the carpets I didn’t know was there. My only real gripe is that it feels so flimsy and flaky, I can not see any way it will last 5 weeks let alone 5 years (glad for the 5 year warranty). It also does not seem to like running against or across the weave direction of the carpet and because it’s so light it just bounces about unless you follow the grain. I think I have been spoiled as I have had a dyson upright for years and years and have been really very pleased with it, however I do not seem able to buy a new upright dyson and didn’t want a rechargable, hence taking a chance on this one. Obviously I should try to reserve judgement as maybe this little thing will last until the end of the warranty. Having read many positive reviews before I bought it and not having tried any other alternative vacuums on the market now, I still would not recommend it.
