Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally good handheld.
Excellent. Really simple to use. Really pleased with this purchase. The monitor feature allows you to monitor all frequencies on the band selected which gives a simple snapshot of who is around. Battery life good, quality feel.

The only thing it doesn’t do is improve the quality of users on the CB band.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersStrongly recommend this Thunderpole TX handheld CB radio.
Very good handheld CB and well made. Came well boxed up with all the parts. Easy to work but could do with a better antenna for picking up signals from over 6 to 7 miles away. Obviously it works fair better outdoors and on high ground. I went to a place near Stockton Heath near Warrington called Hill Cliff and picked up signals in Manchester, Liverpool. Well worth the money, just be aware it doesn’t come with the car kit, you have to buy that separately which is around 20. I would strongly recommend this Thunderpole TX handheld CB radio..

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersDon't rush looking through ch and bands..
Too show with patients you can hear people on CB. I just switched on off chance did what all say on YouTube? Listen for sound changes not just rush through the channels.

Scan another good way but remember this has many channels and bands. Uk, EU, Am and FM. Plus international channels. Buy a decent arial too. Been static not way to go need too get out and about.

This is a great bit of kit,

390 in all. More then on most this price point. Here’s my short vid.

Its quite compact size easy to use and functional. Its built too last robust. Signal quality can be good or bad judt like old days was. Skips atmosphere conditions a big thing carrying signals further up high, indoors or outside, weather can effect this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is my favourite CB radio to date !
I am very pleased with the performance of this radio. I don’t know why the Amazon page says “Frequently returned item”. I am certainly not sending mine back. The output power is 4W and the antenna is very well matched to the handheld radio and allows communication over several miles. The receiver has good sensitivity and the whole transceiver is very stable and well constructed. The battery life is good and it can be charged via the supplied charger or any other USB-C charger. It can also be charged via the vehicle adapter which fits to the bottom of the transceiver. If you turn the volume up loud the received audio gets slightly distorted. It may be the small loudspeaker in the device or something else. You need to know that the microphone for transmit is located very low down on the front panel and you need to speak closely into it to get decent modulation. I just ordered the handheld speaker/mic so I will see if these two last points are improved by it. Be careful not to touch the bare vehicle adapter contacts on the bottom of the case whilst transmitting (as I did) as you can get an RF burn on your finger. This is my favourite CB radio to date !

Good little radio works well and even using the rubber ducky can still receive transmissions from relatively far away.

The seller, Roadking UK gets 5 stars from me. After having the device for only a few months the battery failed. I reported this to Roadking UK and without hesitation they sent me a brand new battery pack. Fantastic service!

Great Handheld CB it's good to be back on the airwaves
Very good handheld CB Radio, it has FM UK, FM Cept Europe channels and AM. It’s great to be back on the airwaves again. I used to be on the CB in the 70’s right upto the 90’s. If I was you I would buy an Telescopic Ariel you will get much further on it.

You can change the display but to be honest I like the screen that it’s set on.

You need to adjust the squelch first off. I have mine set to 11, so only the strongest signals come through.

I’m very pleased with the CB

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere’s not many people on the air these days but it’s getting better.
I love this CB it’s got great features 421 channel’s I hear people from America every day I can’t talk to them because of the Ariel I suppose but you can get bigger and better Ariel’s if you want. But it’s a great little piece of kit for the money I used to have one years ago but they have came a long way since then there’s a few guys on the Internet and they are trying to get things going again and it’s looking good. So hopefully it will pick up again. So 10.4 good buddy and I would definitely recommend one of these hand sets great price for what it is.

    Top Quality Handse
The Handset, alike all Thunder Pole products are top quality electronic equipment.

Currently not many people using these Radios these days due to Mobile phone technology.

However if you have a specific requirement for using long range Radios IE , Site teams within a 5mile local radious , work great and cost nothing to use , use your own private code to each other for GDPR security purposes

A really nice handset but a bit more thought towards packaging.
First TX I received was permanently transmitting when I switched on. Luckily I had connected the antenna first. I returned that immediately and received my refund all in the same day so I was able to reorder. Just received my new T-X. This time on opening the box I find the handset is already switched on and obviously with no antenna attached. I’m guessing my order was checked before dispatch which is fine though I would have appreciated the handset had been switched OFF before repacking. Also it was placed back in the box with the front of the handset facing outward. Thankfully the parcel wasn’t bashed about in transit or didn’t appear so. I would suggest the handset be wrapped in at least a poly bag or bubble wrap to prevent movement in transit. Anyway I’m just waiting for the battery to charge so I can check the T-X is working fine. Personally I can’t see the PTT getting pushed while boxed but better safe than sorry.
Apart from that I really like this little walkie. A nice easy to read display and simple to use. My 3rd Thunderpole and I’d say this is much easier to navigate round the bands than the T600 or T2000 that I already have. Looking forward to getting out with this and giving it a whirl on higher ground. Just need the car adapter now.

Me and my mate talk to oneanother over one and a quarter mile with the extended ariel clear as radio 5 and loud. I put mine in the car with a magmount on the roof I was talking to my friend 5 miles away recon would have reached him 20 miles away he was on a proper rig but he could hear me crisp and clear marvelous little radios
