We have just installed a new storage system and had laid new tiles that we did not want to damage. Two doors could have hit a step or wall so we tried these two stops and they are adhesive – so no drilling – look well and work well. The whole job took no more than 10 minutes.
Just redecorated throughout and decided that to protect the new paintwork we needed to fit door stops. The reason we hadn’t done so previously was because the only ones we could find in the DIY stores were springs with a small rubber knob on the end. These are a more sympathetic fit with the new paint work on the skirting. The peel off protective cover on the pad allows you to hold the stop in position to find the optimum place for the final fitting before peeling off the cover. Warning, it is important you do this first because once stuck on, it stays stuck on. Also we were amazed at how many we needed when the decorating was finished.
These door stops are well designed and offer a soft rubber buffer to any door surface. The only negative point I have is that the adhesive pads provided lacked any adhesion, possibly because they were old stock or had not been stored in a suitable environment. I replaced the adhesive pads with some 3M double sided pads and they work perfectly.
