I was recently given an Art Therapy anti-stress coloring book Needless to say I was eager to try this I contacted the book seller to get advise on which pens would be good and they referred me back to Amazon!!!!. I tried a lot of different pens and pencils . The metallic pens were like a faded color and rough to touch. Tried other pens and they went right through to the next page.
Then I found 2 pens from an order 3years ago and not only did they still work but were just what I needed.. I believe that the technology behind the pens still working after 3 years is that you shake up liquid and then press firmly on tip and it flows perfectly. I would recommend this product to parents and to schools Thank you

I got these to do the details on a custom guitar paint job. The yellow background and the red of the headstock were done using an airbrush but the rest of the paint job was done with the artistro pens. Some colours require much more shaking to mix but they give a good even coverage. They also didn’t react negatively with some pretty harsh 2k clear coat which I was worried about. Good quality and very good value pens.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my custom guitar projec

Good range of colours, I especially like the gold. just press the point of the pen a few times to get the colour flowing. Have spent a lovely few hours this afternoon decorating stones. Delivery was next day and I couldn’t wait to start. I painted the stones with black acrylic paint yesterday so it was dry and ready to go. Very happy, they were recommended to me for this purpose.

Just what I needed to upcycle this gorgeous metal dragonfly I bought. He needed some TLC, so I got to work on his wings & now he’s the center of attention in our garden. Colours are vibrant & the ink flows well. You do need to shake them well to mix the ink inside before use.

I bought these for my grandsons to do some plastic window decorations. They were perfect, so good that I ordered another size immediately to go with the first set. My husband has been caught ‘borrowing’ them for his artwork!
Great pens, excellent quality, fantastic value.

After trying pens which did not do the job, these pens are a joy to use. The colours are vibrant, cover the surface and cover other colours well and flow smoothly.
I have only one gripe, which has nothing to do with the quality of the pens, and that is the fact that there is no indication on the barrel of the pens what colour the paint is. If the lids were to get mixed up, it could be a problem identifying the colours.
But all in all, a great product.

I bought these for rock painting and can say that they’re super easy to use once read instructions, I didn’t and thought they were duff but then realised it not only had the instructions written on the box but also on each individual pen, my only advice is let paint dry a bit before adding another colour on top or it ends up mixing onto the other paint pe

Lovely pens ( the ones that worked), but very fiddly to start them off. On wood the pen struggled after a while and ink blogger out so not very good for small detail work. Definitely not good for children.

I got them to do a bit of art on wood, and whilst it’s pigmented great when I was writing it kept “flicking” ink causing it to appear like it had ran, which ruined my line art appearance quite a bit.

I haven’t used the markers yet, but they appear to be in good order. It was quite difficult to start them, though, took me a while to get the paint to flow. They look to be good markers.

Bought these for my arty creations – painting on rocks, etc. 12 different colours, all a nice shade. Some of the lighter colours are quite light and need a couple of passes to get the desired colour. The rest produce a nice solid result after a single pen stroke.
A couple of presses to get the ink flowing. The nibs are sturdy enough and should keep their shape throughout the life of the ink/paint.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe photo attached is a little drawing i did of Daffy Duck to test these pens and I love them! I was inspired by someone who told me they used them to paint on rocks and I was amazed when I used them. Easy to use, they are just like paint or are paint, better then felt tip pens and full of colour, the best pens I’ve used to colour with, I will be using for cartoons and anime etc. I wish there was more colour options, like a dark and light colour aswell as the normal colour just to mix it up. I will be buying these again once they run out, they are a need in my art supplies, thank you so much

I must confess I wasn’t sure about buying these given some of the poor reviews on here, especially since I only really wanted one colour to draw a fine yellow circle (the warning circle around a gun turret in a 1/350 scale model warship) but they seemed the best option on here. I had hoped that thy would fit in a Rotring compass adaptor but sadly they are a fraction too wide (and hence the 4 star ease of use rather than 5), so the solution was to tape one to one one leg of a set of draughtsman’s dividers. it wasn’t perfect, but it was a lot better than trying to use a fine paintbrush and although you can see where it is uneven in macro-photography, with a naked eye from 2 foot away which is where most people will be viewing it, it’s good enough.

A lot of people have commented that the paint doesn’t come through and true, you do have to pump them a fair bit to get the paint to flow first time but after that they’re fine. I suspect those who have had poor experience haven’t persevered – I found it can take 30 or 40 presses to get the paint to flow for the first time. I’ve now found other uses for several of the other colours so overall I am pleased with the purchase. The one criticism I would level is that at 0.7 mm they are a wee bit too thick for me, but then that’s the advertised size so I can’t hold that against them. I’d prefer a 0.5 mm. What is really good is the opacity of the paint. Given that I was drawing yellow which is a notoriously difficult colour to cover in one coat, over deck green, it covered perfectly. The white is similarly opaque over dark grey.

I approached these with mixed feelings having seen mixed reviews. However, I must say that I am overall very impressed. They take a while to get working the first time out of the box, but be patient, follow the instructions and the results will please. Coverage is good, colour is solid. If I am going to pick fault it will only be in minor issues and there have only been two. Firstly some of the colours are no where near the colour on the pen sleeve. For example there is no red, what seems to be red is in fact a lurid pink. Secondly they can occasionally ‘splurge’ a bit so of you’re doing fine detail, test elsewhere than on your artwork first. For that reason I have a piece of card next to my work to dry run bush strokes first. That said, the results are excellent!
