I’ve used these a couple of times during a milling machine rebuild and have to say they work a treat.
The taps are good for cleaning out threaded holes which are usually have ancient grease ingrained in them whereas a few minutes application of the file and die rescued the thread cut into a shaft that had been butchered by the previous owner.

My dad is well versed in tools and hard to impress, but he was visibly intrigued by this kit and the impressive variety of threading options. I’m excited to add it to my tools and be ready for my next threading issue. So far, I haven’t had an opportunity to push the kit hard, but I’m impressed with what I have been able to test. It’s worth noting that you’ll want to be sure you open the kit with the right side up since none of the pieces clamp in place.
